I feel so old, lol. The thing that Dan was holding is a floppy disk. Oddly enough, I still have floppy disks and a usb floppy disk drive to attach to my laptop. The good old days. The scarecrows are amazing though.
I alr watched the most recent vid from that channel, it was exactly 6 in the evening when you posted the vid cuz I was playing games I was 11 minutes later 😣 how can I be such an idiot
I'm coming 50 and yes your right these are the 3 1/2 inch floppy discs wow how technology has evolved and advanced. Great Video as always Josh. Keep up the great work. Thank You 😊😊
Another amazing adventure, Josh! Seen this site featured on other channels, but you really do it justice... The lady creating those figures, is not just a 'hobbyist'--she's an ARTIST. That little village now qualifies as an art installation; those figures, conceived with craft and care, are the woman's CALLING. They are her future guarantee that the village will never be entirely abandoned; and the residents remaining will never be lonely, as people come from around the world to see this place for themselves! The lady artist has a great sense of humour, too, if she created a 'Waldo' ('Wally', in England), and placed it there for tourists to find! Never lose your sense of wonder, Josh. Your happiness is contagious fun! :D
Amazing! I loved meeting the lady who makes the scarecrows. Loved how beautiful the landscape was. Loved the passion and excitement you guys had. A proper feel good video.
What an awesome place this is. She has dedicated so much time, energy and love to doing these scarecrows - I really hope the people appreciate this. PS. It was a floppy disc Thanks for wonderful show with excellent production. x
This is so fascinating Josh! It's amazing none of the scarecrows look weathered by the elements. Really Cool you guys got to meet the artist who made these. Awesome as always Josh.
This is one of my favorite videos just for the fact you found the local legend and got to speak to her and she showed you around, she’s such a nice lady & I loved her appearance! You should go back in a couple years and see if you can find her again! And see how the towns changed even more.
Josh you look good with out a hat! And you are extremely lucky to have a job that takes you all over the word and to places that no one knows about or have experienced. Because of you people who can’t travel or have the means to travel you bring us these places and experiences. For that I thank you so much. As for the scarecrow island, she has found her place in life and has the talent to do this. Because it it is so odd people now travel to see her talent and now she also has people to talk to. She was alone and lonely so she did what she had to do. Make these scarecrows for her peace of mind. And with that now she has real people.
Thanks for taking us to places that need to be seen Josh...this was another level vid . Please please make more like this 🙏. You really captured the beauty, culture and hidden gems not seen before . Thankyou 😊❤
This is one of the coolest things i've seen. The amount of work she has put into each and every one of the people/scarecrows is amazing plus the settings she has them in...very cool.
Ahhhhhhh🥰🥰🥰 It warms my heart seeing you guys out exploring again. I've been watching other videos for a while.😕 I missed you, Josh, and friends. Keep up with exploring, traveling, abandoned, finding haunted places, ghosts, and maybe that app that takes you to scary, unusual places. Randonautica
That place is very different and interesting. The video cuts out about the 30 min mark but there is still audio interesting to see what was missed during that part of the video, love the unique and different places,
Love this Japan Series and I love your content and all the special things you put together for us viewers…. I appreciate all the hard work you do for us to live vicariously through your channel ❤️ love from Texas
I highly suggest finding translators for trips such as these because it tends to make the trips much smoother when dealing with language barriers. Even if it is hard, there are many creators in other countries I have no doubt would be willing to help out with these videos!
Just an FYI at about 30 mins there is a 2 minute spot where we can hear you but the video is black. And this is one of the coolest videos you have done, I really enjoyed watching it.
I think this is my favorite place you've explored. I've seen a few YT mention this but you gave it life! I think your scarecrow should be you holding your camera as a selfie talking about the place. That would be epic!!!
Awesome episode!! All the scare crows makes me think they come to life when you’re not watching just like the angels from doctor who but instead of transporting you their touch turns you into one
I absolutely love seeing this in a video, it was so interesting to see you all communicate to each other even with the language barrier. Such a unique video Josh
This video was freaking EPIC! This place is so so sooo beautiful, and the amount of work that this amazing woman put into all of this, is really amazing!
I'm 38 and that's a floppy disk. I used to have Oregon trail on one and played it in school till the teacher took it from me. See how many people know the Oregon trail. Love the videos! As always. Thanks for sharing the amazing content.
Now this was WAY COOL explore! Josh as much as you love Japan...I am surprised you haven't learned Japanese! My son has Asbergers which...they have brilliant minds like Einstein...he is very much into the Japanese culture and is self taught...reading and writing and speaking Japanese . It is a very hard language...with 3 alphabets! You should learn! Great video! This was really fun. I sent it to my son...he will love it. More of this please! 🖤🐈⬛🖤🐈⬛
This was an amazing exploration. Loved it. And Ms. Tsukimi is truly talented. Now that Dan has found the 'floppy disc' what is he going to do with it? 🤨 Thanks for sharing.
13:33 it’s a floppy disc LOL but also love your channel!! I heard of you through the Overnight Channel and had to follow along for all your adventures!!
12:37 floppy disk used to use them a lot in primary school and high school, wish I had my old ones as there would be so many of my old stories I wrote back then or song lyrics
That place is crazy! And your excitement makes it even better. I'd love to go there someday (maybe my next life 🤷) WOW floppy disks... They may be still readable, depending on their condition. But the detail she put into each one... Incredible
One of the place i really want to go . And it's really cool to meet the person who made scrarecrows all on this place . Such a humble person and the people live there were really friendly . It's so cool and great !

The fact you were able to meet the creator is absolutely mind blowing. She is a GEM! 💎
The scarecrow creator is such a gem! The time and creativity it took to recreate the memories of this town... It's just so unique!
That lady is very happy to show them off. It must bring her joy to see people come visit.
Representing the 30 year olds - Floppy disc 😭😭😭
Dan does hold up a 3 1/2” floppy disk, 1.44 MB capacity.
32yo I remember the struggle of using 3-4 of them to share a mp3 🥹
Noooooooo
24 year old here and even I know floppy disks…
