  • Terrazzo floors, walls, and ceilings can be made even more visually striking (if that’s possible) by incorporating oversized chips, mosaics, or even large fragments of marble slab.
Venetian terrazzo makes use of very large marble pieces with finer aggregate filling in the spaces between. Palladiana terrazzo, named for Italian Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio, incorporates even larger hand-laid stone with smaller marble chips in the binder.
Conventional terrazzo with more uniformly sized chips can certainly make a design statement, but the visual contrast of Venetian and Palladiana results in floors that are nothing short of fine art, created by the skilled artisans known as BAC terrazzo installers.
