Satriani taught Vai and Hammett, two very successful guitarists that sound nothing like him. This tells me that Satriani has not only incredible sense for what works and what doesn’t, he can humbly admit if something doesn’t feel right. Eddie changed everything and Satriani knows it. Eddie’s rhythm playing alone is so full of groove it’s crazy (not that Satch can’t groove)❤

His brief playing with the Foos had many doubting that he was actually playing because his playing was uncanny…he was his father for that brief time. I think he is a true artist who is searching for a unique voice. My guess is that he will find it❤
@@paulolsen6870 Yeah its not a knock on Satriani, alot of EVH's stuff was very unique to his style. It's like some other guitarist trying to play Frank Zappa's stuff.
