He was such a unique player. He was good with the Knicks but the Hornets really got the best out of him. They really knew how to utilize his skills. I still remember a playoff game where he completely destroyed Mutombo.
@@youtuber3328 98 hornets are better imo.. The knicks were a GOOD TEAM that year and were expected to compete with Chicago until that suspension happened in Miami when Ward got flipped by Pj Brown.. damn the 90s were good.
The NBA needs to bring the old school era back. 90’s and 00’s had a lot of big and tougher players. Now we have skinny lightskin players named Jaylen who only shoot threes. Todays NBA is no where near as fun to watch as it used to be. NBA must do something about it. It’s not fun anymore
Glad to see this 1992 highlights, but why there's no clip of Christmas Day battle between the Knicks and Bulls? Anyhow, back in NBA card-collecting heydays, I often get Anthony Mason, covering 3-4 pages of a 4-panel binder. His stock went higher the fact he (3rd round pick) was traded for Larry Johnson (first overall pick) in the 1996 offseason.
Mase was the man...i went to his basketball summer camp 3 years in a row and i remember it like yesterday...my favorite knick of all time and tied with rodman for my favorite player ever...he was just the phuckin man....
I think I've never seen Rodman struggling defensively in the post as he did against Mase. Not even Shaq, that was bigger and presumably stronger than Mason but didn't have the quickness, footwork and overall skillset.
No, Biggie Smalls did not write "I Got A Story to Tell" about Anthony Mason. It was not about him. I know this first hand as I knew them both. It was not about anyone. A composite character. PR people sensationalise to sell music.
Mason was such a solid player. It sucks that he’s gone.
Well he raped a child in 1998 so it’s okay
RIP The most jacked player ever with the dopest fades
Anthony Mason was so unique because he not only had a strong work ethic, he was a decent human being with integrity.
Mason was a BEAST POINT FORWARD WITH HANDLES.
Players like MASON are a rarity when it comes to players with size and handles that's one of the reasons why I like him
Awesome video. Thanks for making this. Mase was one of my favorite players
No problem

why did the hawks start 11-0 and then lose in round 1 of 98
in 97 why did the hornets lose 3-0 to the knicks
in the playoffs who would you say is better and/or equal between the 93 + 98 hornets

@@soramirez5473 u make sense but the 98 hornets lost game 3 to the hawks 96-64 and the 97 knicks lost four games to heat by a combined 35 points
Much love Anthony mason was a pure beast rest easy brother 🧡💙🕊🕊
His post up skills was just amazing
He was one of the last HBCU players to be an impact player. It was great to see him and Oakley, two HBCU stars, on the same NBA team.
from 85-88 the bulls had a 5-15 playoff record but why exactly
from 88-92 the knicks didn't make it to the conference finals at all but why exactly
after multiple trades the knicks reached the conference and then nba finals in 93 + 94
certain people criticize charles smith but again the knicks went far in 93 + 94
larry bird's scoring DIDN'T equal michael jordan's so why exactly did the bulls go 0-6 vs the celtics in the 86 + 87 playoffs
Thank you for this.

Slept on, had a high iq as a point forward

Shit is DOPE RIP ANTHONY MASON
Mason was always one my favorite players, wish he could of played on the Pistons.
why do u say this
1:22 Mason never married. He fathered four children with four different women. He was dedicated to his beloved mother who raised him.
That’s funny how the Knicks organization lies to make them look better
WHAT A COMPETITOR MASON
Yessir
I love this guy! The Modern NBA players would literally Fear this Man, he would have them crying like lil girls!😂💯💪
i remember mase alright the way he shot free throws & his running style was weird

For a man that size amazing ball handler and quickness
Mase for big dude had ill handles
That's a fact

i LOVE hakeem olajuwon almost as much as kareem abdul-jabbar wilt chamberlain + bill russell
Mason out runs every player on the court ! ( 9:41 )
Hes bigger than LeBron
I wish we could go back to the 90s

Underrated defender. He guarded both Michael Jordan & Hakeem Olajuwon & held his own.
