    Anthony Mason was so unique because he not only had a strong work ethic, he was a decent human being with integrity.

      Players like MASON are a rarity when it comes to players with size and handles that's one of the reasons why I like him

    He was such a unique player. He was good with the Knicks but the Hornets really got the best out of him. They really knew how to utilize his skills. I still remember a playoff game where he completely destroyed Mutombo.

      @@youtuber3328 98 hornets are better imo.. The knicks were a GOOD TEAM that year and were expected to compete with Chicago until that suspension happened in Miami when Ward got flipped by Pj Brown.. damn the 90s were good.

      @@soramirez5473 u make sense but the 98 hornets lost game 3 to the hawks 96-64 and the 97 knicks lost four games to heat by a combined 35 points

    He was one of the last HBCU players to be an impact player. It was great to see him and Oakley, two HBCU stars, on the same NBA team.

    The NBA needs to bring the old school era back. 90’s and 00’s had a lot of big and tougher players. Now we have skinny lightskin players named Jaylen who only shoot threes. Todays NBA is no where near as fun to watch as it used to be. NBA must do something about it. It’s not fun anymore

    Glad to see this 1992 highlights, but why there's no clip of Christmas Day battle between the Knicks and Bulls?
    Anyhow, back in NBA card-collecting heydays, I often get Anthony Mason, covering 3-4 pages of a 4-panel binder.
    His stock went higher the fact he (3rd round pick) was traded for Larry Johnson (first overall pick) in the 1996 offseason.

    1:22 Mason never married. He fathered four children with four different women. He was dedicated to his beloved mother who raised him.

    Mase was the man...i went to his basketball summer camp 3 years in a row and i remember it like yesterday...my favorite knick of all time and tied with rodman for my favorite player ever...he was just the phuckin man....

    I think I've never seen Rodman struggling defensively in the post as he did against Mase. Not even Shaq, that was bigger and presumably stronger than Mason but didn't have the quickness, footwork and overall skillset.

      No, Biggie Smalls did not write "I Got A Story to Tell" about Anthony Mason. It was not about him. I know this first hand as I knew them both. It was not about anyone. A composite character. PR people sensationalise to sell music.
