    • @jonathanbobo722
      @jonathanbobo722 9 месяцев назад

      They don’t just “see” them. They chop everything up and just fuck around with it til it sounds right. Trust me. You add one piece that sounds good coming from the previous piece and just repeat until you got something

    • @GoDxism
      @GoDxism 9 месяцев назад

      @@jonathanbobo722 Yeah but the question is where should each chop begin? I personally very very rarely find auto choppers like Seranto Sample and Fruity Slicer to be helpful. If you're doing manual chopping then you still need a great ear.

    This is one of the most sophisticated samples of all time. The intricacy with which it was cut and arranged astounds me. As a whole its such a subtle and beautiful composition that, because of its seamless nature, betrays the level of complexity that went into piecing together this beat; which is a testament to the artfulness of the producer. To me this shows mastery of the craft of sampling. A moment of brilliance that a producer MIGHT get a few times in their life.... and how in the absolute fuck do you have the ear to hear what he did and reproduce it lol??? I salute you Sandurz because your skill for recreating these beats is awe inspiring.
    Now, maybe I'm overstating it and it's not all that hard to create this beat, but something tells me it would be profoundly difficult to have the intention of trying to cut a beat this way and executing it. At least you have the actual song to reference so you can re-create it, but, as for how Like did this without a precedent to follow and creating the beat on his own and selecting the slices he did from the assortment of chords, timbres, and notes which change so radically in the original track is entirely beyond me! Another beat that unequivocally baffles me as to how the slices were selected and arranged is "Don't Cry" - J Dilla
