This songs hits so hard. I watched my father wilt away due to Parkinson's Disease. His body was so paralyzed due to the disease but his mind was there . The last time I saw him I knew this was the last time. I poured my heart out and told him I was the man I was today because of him. And I said it was ok to let go because we would take care of Mom. Every time I hear this song, it brings me back into that room with my Dad. Enjoy every moment with your family.

When I was your age I used to cry at the random thought of my parents dying. When my mother's time came, I was present in the horror of her passing, but still feel I didn't give myself up to expressions of overwhelming love that may have given her a sweet peace in her final hours. Thank you so much for reacting to this song. Here in Canada during the covid lockdown my father has been living in a extended Care facility which was also in lock down when he passed away. His health was continuously fading and I was not allowed in to see him for months. With the time of his passing drawing near and with him no longer being able to verbally communicate I had to say my goodbyes to him over a video call. During the call I played this song for him and I could see the tears starting to roll down his face. At that moment I knew he could still hear, and understand everything that was being said to him. And just how much I loved him and was proud to be his son. It was the hardest time I have ever faced in my life because I just wanted to be there to hold his hand before his time came. This song will forever remind me of that moment

My father died of cancer. I remember the last time I held his hand before leaving for work. He could no longer see anything and was just barely breathing. I thought he was just sleeping. And they told me it was the agony of death. And then they called me and said that he was no longer breathing. He opened up the whole world to me. Even if I was wrong and unbearable, he was always ready to hug me, calm my storm. We have been fighting cancer for 3 years. And I took care of him like a baby. But I couldn't save it.

I never really got to know my father I was in the hospital room the day he passed away I was the only one there but I had my grandfather and I held his hand two years ago as he passed and this song breaks me down every time I hear it which is almost daily I'm commenting before watching and I already know how much of a tender heart you are so a ❤ for you knowing that it will make you cry.

Sad song. Made even sadder because I was sad for you, With every new tear you cried. Within the past 15 years, I lost my dad, my brother, and 2 of my favourite nieces. For a while there, it was like watching Domino's, or bowling pins fall In slow motion, 1 right after the other. Like I said, it's been a span of 15 years, so I've been able to deal with it. Especially since I told them I love them every day they were alive, so I had no regrets. That made things a bit easier.

I lost my Dad to cancer on Boxing day 2004. He spent Christmas day at home we had all the family round my sister and sister in law cooked the main meal while me and my mum looked after dad he helped his youngest granddaughter (11 months old) open her presents .During the night we had lost control of his pain and had to put him into St Luke's Hospice. I only found this song this year and it brought back all the emotions I had bottled up for years. Thank You for your reaction

my Mother passed away in 2011 and my Father in 2014 there is not one day I don't miss them .. .. this song is meant to make you cry .. so we can get in touch with the emotions we shove aside .. and then we can have some kind of resolution in the end .. both my parents were hurting really bad in the end .. death was a huge relief for them .. it still hurts though .. your reaction is what makes you human don't forget that .. you can be yourself with us, my dear lady .. I keep coming back to watch you because you are not fake .. and know that you are loved..

Oh wow. In secret, only every now and then, when no one else is looking, I have cried since I lost my father since 1978 when I was 6. I don't tell my wife about how I miss my mother and father all these years later. I don't tell anyone who relies upon me. I just tell them I am lucky to have them and it is true. But sometimes when an artist says the right words with the right voice, yeah, I close the door and cry. You are human and you love your family. You don't ever need to apologize. I never really got to know my father I was in the hospital room the day he passed away I was the only one there but I had my grandfather and I held his hand two years ago as he passed and this song breaks me down every time I hear it which is almost daily I'm commenting before watching and I already know how much of a tender heart you are so a ❤ for you knowing that it will make you cry.

Sad song. Made even sadder because I was sad for you, With every new tear you cried. Within the past 15 years, I lost my dad, my brother, and 2 of my favourite nieces. For a while there, it was like watching Domino's, or bowling pins fall In slow motion, 1 right after the other. Like I said, it's been a span of 15 years, so I've been able to deal with it. Especially since I told them I love them every day they were alive, so I had no regrets. That made things a bit easier.

I don't know how many times I've tried watching this video 💔💔💔 I was with my dad 24/7 for a full weeks as we knew he didn't have long to live. My dad passed away in April 2014. He was my hero, miss him so much. Xxx

Totally agree, family will not always be around forever, when there gone it’s too late to express your respect, trust me I know, I have no living relatives for the last 10 years and time doesn’t heal people, so if you need to say something important to your family DO IT TODAY, tomorrow may never happen. 🙏

I lost my Dad to cancer on Boxing day 2004. He spent Christmas day at home we had all the family round my sister and sister in law cooked the main meal while me and my mum looked after dad he helped his youngest granddaughter (11 months old) open her presents .During the night we had lost control of his pain and had to put him into St Luke's Hospice. I only found this song this year and it brought back all the emotions I had bottled up for years. Thank You for your reaction

Don’t apologise for being human. It shows you have a good heart. Maybe make a coffee and give your parents a call. This song hits most people the same way. Brings up stuff we try to avoid or keep locked away. It’s sad, but it’s also a healthy reality check.
