@@danjacksonguitar3701 brother, i put that part of the video at that part specifically knowing i would get a comment saying this exact thing. you're literally in the matrix right now
I don't even mind the game, I just hate how we've specifically been waiting for Source 2 so it makes it easier for Valve to work on the game, yet we got fuck all new content for a year.
yep.. even the official trailer for cs2 mention how source2 would make community content easier to implement... 1 year later server browser is broken and we STILL havent got maps that were shown in the advertisements.
@@chocolates182 Yeah, like, why would you go through all of this effort of remaking the game, trying to fix said remake of the game, cutting off half your playerbase due to system requirements, pissing everyone off with the lack of content on release and skin changes, just to... sit there and make Deadcock instead
Don't get me wrong, I fucking love the move to Source 2, some of the game's effects surpass those of AAA games at triple the fps, but I seriously need new content to keep playing. The wow effect has worn off. Give me maps, give me new weapons, give me new gamemodes. Or, like you said, make the server browser work so I can enjoy other people's creations and concepts. That was the whole appeal of goldsrc/source games for as long as I can remember.
@damsen978 sure, community servers have their meaning, but there are very likely other issues which have to be adressed way before that. Before mods can be truly appreciated they have to improve the main game
My biggest issue is: I was never a sweaty tryhard Faceit nerd, after the introduction of premier elo in CS2, I HAD TO move to faceit because premier is unplayable in my elo. Its just really sad coinflipping a premier game by whos team gets the better paid cheats and raging to win in 22k ELO. On the other hand, I stepped up my game on faceit and found a few good fellas through Clans. Game goes the same direction as Apex legends and R6 siege.
If you are above 20k Elo I think premier is just a "for fun" game mode like comp. Im usually around 15-20k and in my last 60 games I've had MAYBE 3 cheaters. Not a single spinbot or obvious cheater. Over 20k there's a lot, no doubt about it. But for most people cheating just isn't an issue. The majority of those who complain are at most 15k elo players who struggle to accept that they are trash at the game. I was one of them until I started reviewing my demos and realised im just shit.
@@jojoironboi man, I've made it to ft lvl 9 so far and I consider myself pretty average/little bit better than trash considering aim, the only thing that carries me, is understanding the game/rotations and decision making. After playing vs 2,5k-3k elo players on ft I just accepted I'll probably stay average 🤣
You’re giving valve far too much credit in this one. “We complain too much so they don’t listen” like what’s the alternative just taking it in the rear??
the cheater problem is worse than people make it out to be. Ffs voo, literally the top ranked guy on the leaderboard got vac banned months later. Game has objectively less content than its predecessor, that is inexcusable.
"subtick" The AWP feels exactly the same or even worse than GO with 64 tick and 120fps locked. Valorant Operator is literally a better gun objectively tham CS2 AWP. I guess they weren't kidding when they said "the game that killed CS:GO" Edit: same with movement. Jiggling and peeking SUCKS compared to 128 tick CSGO, it's not even comparable, and you can even see pros don't go for peeks and fast repositions anymore, they simply don't, just play like silvers, hold angles, get one tapped by the worst player on the enemy team and sigh in pain and disbelief
Don't forget, Valve didn't come up with Counter-Strike or it's culture. They lucked into it being a mod for their game. That's why they have literally no idea what they're doing with the culture.
Source + dynamic gun pricing, Condition Zero, CSGO on release being shit, hitboxes being fixed only after 2016, R8, VAC banning legit players and cheaters running around rage toggling
@@acex222 adding to this list: we have to make our own anticheats with platforms like FACEIT, we make the skins and the maps, we fix the fucking bugs and what does Valve do exactly?
It is low-key just pathetic that people on reddit go to defend valve for being this lazy. The worst part is people will argue that it's a small team, as if valve themselves can not hire more people.
Not true. They hired the two guys responsible for making it, and then they provided them the resources to make it what it deserved to become. Without Valve, and steam for that matter, CS would never have had the resources to become what it is today. It's one of the best examples of positive business collaboration that exists. They took it, they didn't insert themselves into it, they just resourced the people behind the idea and created one of the most successful franchises of all time. Two independent blokes just never would have had the capacity to fund what was needed to make CS what it has become. People fail to comprehend how important the Steam platform was/is to CS, and what CS was and is to the Steam platform.
That's what all CS players think. "Oh we are the one created this culture" brother, Gooseman even said in an interview (or speech) that everytime he made an update to CS, he would get so much complains from players about how this update broke the game and how he would just ignore them.
yea also really sad to see most content creators are in full copium / damage control mode still glazing valve and not admitting how bad the situation really is.
@@doliniplanini2260 So, with your "logic" === "If you don't like it you don't have to play it" It doesn't make sense. Its a pointless and bad logic. Even if its a "New" game, it was the "game" which ruined CSGO, so you have to go to the mirror, and tell yourself the next sentence: "If you don't like someone's comment, you don't have to comment on it". Next time be more careful denying your own words.

I really disagree with you Voo on a lot of things. Especially the communicating part... If they can't handle negativity, don't create a global game. It will always be there and you gotta have people looking for the actual feedback in between the negativity. I've been playing since 2013 and I have NEVER felt that Valve actually cared about this game. How is it possible that you neglect the biggest FPS in the whole world. I would much rather have Riot that actually fixes things and tries new stuff instead of waiting MONTHS for a tiny bug fix and no new content for years. Performance is what stopped me from playing for the first time. I can't handle a game that's out for a year and runs horrible on a 5800x with a RTX3080.
"CS is the most anti-change community out there" - Imagine my shock when Valve comes up with CS2, literally making most important aspects of the game worse and community gets mad at this? Voo, you cooked yourself with this statement, like wtf. How can they be happy about these changes when even changes themselves are not well executed and broken for a year now?
dude therye making hundreds of millions of dollars a month off of cases. To say that the community is the problem for complaining too much is honestly insane. What, they get scared to talk to the community because were too mean? or is it because they dont actually care about the gameplay or what the community has issues with? Apologizing for the mutli billion dollar company for continually putting out a shit product is wild
I simped for cs2 during the beta stage, but 1 year down and it getting worse and worse? Excuse me, monsieur, but about billion dollars yearly revenue from game and having this treatement to the game is a trash move...
Before watching the video: my biggest issue is simply the lack of communication from Valve. If they would just come out and say what theyre working on, what the longterm plan etc, I wouldnt have nearly as big of an issue with the state of the game, but right now it feels hopeless. Its a bit like my depression. Feeling like its not gonna get better is what really kills me.
Yeah but Valve's never done that. I agree that it would be nice to hear from them, but also, man, Cs Is huge and cs2 on its own is a gigantic project. If they didn't care they would've never touched it and tried to make a port to source 2, CSGO was doing just fine, they wanted to do something new. I don't feel hopeless just yet, it would be incredibly weird, especially for Valve, to invest so much in this, to ruin something that was working already and to just give up on it after a year. It's gonna take time, but the fact this exists is proof they believe in it
@@MrChoklad nah mate , if they cared they would have pushed out content and updates more regurarly. They should have left csgo for another 3 years instead of this half baked mess
play css or l4d and feel how weird the mechanics and netcode are. then hop on cs2. only difference felt is how awful cs2 runs on any pc. oh and l4d was ambitious for the time. 30+ infected at one time plus special infected and survivors.
when I got the beta I had like 150fps, then it dipped to 130fps eith dips below 90 and now it's at 70fps I played for 3 minutes, saw the number and immediately uninstalled
I think such a big part of it is lack of content now. We have had a game now for over a year and what's to show for it? Ik valve has been making fixes and adding in new stuff (gun game, new maps, fixes, etc. But where's NEW stuff like new game modes, new ways to play, a new custom lobby browser. I just feel like unless you love the comp grind there's not much there in the game to keep people playing. I feel like were missing innovation in this sequel.
It was just a dick move from valve to erase CSGO for everyone and replace it with a far from finished game. Is CS2 a bad game? No, but it's quite underwhelming if you are a long time CSGO player. When it was released it was in a good state for a beta but far from ready to replace one of the most profitable games of all time. It didn't play better or had more things to do than CSGO, so it was clear the players wouldn't be happy. Valve always had the list of CSGO issues right at their hand linked to the CSGO subreddit sticky but claimed they didn't had enough devs to work on the old engine. For many people that was the main reason to strive for source 2. One year after the release it doesn't feel like valve moves any faster. Tbh since the first leaks of deadlock it feels like CS2 isn't a priority at all.
You do not consider the problems with keeping CSGO. The most compelling argument is that it would significantly disrupt the player base in the same way that PUBG did when it began to introduce FPS mode and new maps, more choices means empty lobbies. Every new skin would have to be created and maintained in 2 different products or otherwise be removed from CSGO completely which would also kill the playerbase.because no-one wants to play a game without they skins. CSGO itself would also have to be maintained, you think it wouldn't but they would still have to chase up new hacks because if they didn't it would kill the player base. It's underwhelming compared to CSGO because they haven't quite implemented 10 years of features in CS2 in the way they had in CSGO.
@@jkfdkjjd they froze the latest state of CSGO in the legacy version that is available via the beta channel selector, this could have just stayed as a game and CS2 as a new one. Players would have understood that with the new game nothing would be done for the old one, no new content, no updates nothing. I don't think css or 1.6 get any updates anymore. At some point they could have just stopped the valve servers for matchmaking and all the other game modes, so it's just a game that can be used to play local or on self hosted servers like all other ancient versions of CS. Also if you want to bring the players to the new game there is another way: make the game better or at least more interesting than the old one. The lack of investment into the game that was just created because they hadn't the manpower to work on the spaghetti code created in source 1 by multiple studios is a punch in the guts of all the fans and people throwing money at valve.
I believe CS is following the TF2 path. Valve got tired of trying to fight cheaters and bots and maintain the spaghetti over decades and so they said "fuck it, Deadlock".
so then why bother making a source 2 port to a perfectly fine game if you knew you were working on another title at the same time? why not allocate all the resources to deadlock instead of trying to pump out games and never looking back at them ever again.
@@cxlciummmivthey needed something, the community is massive and has been asking them forever to do something new with the title. This was nothing but a low effort way of shutting up the community. Unfortunately, I think they will just focus on deadlock from here.
i've come across maybe max 2 or 3 cheaters in cs2 with good trust factor IN MM, not any other mode, there it is a little different, but in all modes not more than 10 cheaters were met by me, while in go i met only like 1 cheater in the span of 2 years once i got good trust factor
No they are not. People are shit at the game and yell cheater. The rank system is a joke and I played with people ecoing on pistol rounds bitching about cheaters when facing a 5 stack who did full util dump execs :D They started to glock rush these morons and still won almost all entries. The rank system should never be made in a way where they put these csgo lem-ge people into even gold nova.
@@banjo491 in go gold nova 4 and in cs2 11k, not that much, that's true, but still, considering how many cheaters there are and how they're rising up the ranks, they had to have crossed my rank points at some points while i was playing and i still didn't get matched up with them, so it doesn't really matter as much, i mean they have to get to the higher rank in some way where there is many of them
The reason I complain super hard is because I feel like I wasted 4000 hours on a game that rewarded you based on the merit of your skill & game knowledge just for them to baby mode the hell out of it to attract noobs & level the skill floor on top of bugs, cheaters, & game quality failures they refuse to fix. Valve 100% deserve every piece of negative feedback they are getting because literally anyone can win duels on cs2 now. It is no longer a game of pure skill, reflex, & intuition. It’s straight up who can run & shoot first thanks to subtick + mp9. Miserable.
I would literally be satisfied for another 2 years if they simply brought back 128 tick until sibtick is a actually ready to be rolled out as the UPGRADE to 128 tick that it’s supposed to be. I never cared about content in the game I just like my skins, I like getting better, and I really love how often there is high level matches being broadcasted and commentated on. The in game content they release is really just an added bonus to me. But yeah I don’t know how long I can keep dealing with how pesky the state of the game is. You don’t even watch angles as a CT anymore you just jiggle peak everything so you can try to take advantage of leakers as a CT too because the T’s can just strafe around a corner and have so much time to like yo a one tap but on your screen it looks like they came out and shot you while still running. I always praises CSGO as being the game where I didn’t feel that latency was a big decider of fun fights. Or think about when your trying to conceal yourself around a corner and you can see your opponent but they’re still shooting you because on their screen just a sliver of your ass or shoulder is sticking around the corner because your further behind on their screen than you are on yours.
Man I feel there's something we don't know about 128 tick and it's implementation in the game. It's been a talking point for years and never truly addressed by valve, maybe it would be too expensive or just not feasible at this scale.
@@MrChoklad No way it's too expensive with the money they make on this game alone. They make almost 100mil a month from cases alone, never mind the commissions from the steam marketplace sales.
The fps issues is the main issue for me. I have a 6900XT and a ryzen 9 5900x an 32gb of ram and on some maps my fps dips below 150 ( mostly on anubis/ancient ) on a mix of low/medium and high settings. If I am looking at a smoke my fps gets halved. I play on 4:3 1600x1200. I do average about 250-350 on most maps but those lows feel horrible.
you guys are tripping, I have a rx 6800 with a 5800x3d and 32gb of RAM and I average 350fps most maps, worst dips I have are to 200fps playing at 1440x1080 with mix of low/medium and high settings as well
i get 700-800 avg frames on a 7800xt and 7800x3d you guys should try using the program “process lasso” and disabling smt or the intel counterpart i can’t remember what it’s called it gave me around 80-90 frames on avg by testing with fps benchmark map
CSGO's core gameplay was crisper, but with bugs on the outside that caused frustration. But overall, I think most people experienced a lot less of those super frustrating deaths where you're not sure if you got shit on or if you got CS2'd by peeker's advantage or hit reg or what not. Now in CS2, the core gameplay is more clunky, and so even without the bugs in the game, I think a lot of us are just at a baseline, more frustrated than normal just because we have a lot more of those "CS2'd" deaths than we did back in CSGO. For example, dying behind a wall twice every game, vs once every other game... Eventually that just starts to tick people off when it used to be so much less frequent.
In my opinion and experience; I’ve had 1/2 or 1/4 of the max FPS I have in any other game. I play on max settings like Valorant, Fortnite, Call Of Duty and can’t on CS2 because it’s just hard to play on a slideshow. I ran CSGO at 250-400 FPS and now I’m lucky to hit 120 FPS. I’m not a cheater but every single game I’m playing the enemies are on copium saying oh so it’s gonna be a hvh game? Wall banged round after round on Nuke over and over with the paper thin walls vs an SSG. Sure small bugs are blown out of proportion but the game needs more stringent anti cheat and a slightly better performance option.
I actually loved Cs2 despite its flaws, until the update on 8/14/2024, where they changed a fundamental game mechanic to disguise perceived network latency, which didn’t even work, it just made the game worse. I actually noticed the problem consistently before I even knew that valve changed it that way on purpose. The devs are just making too many mistakes.
You can’t add 60 ping of delay to the game, and have no anticheat, and expect me to keep playing. I’ll hold my skins as investment, but I’m never playing this trash again.
Agree. I have around 7k hours in 10 years in csgo. But cs2 is deleted for me! I refuse to play till sub tick is removed. I play current cs source pub and 5v5 mix servers.
@@piggybaggy242 Well bad luck because subtick is here to stay, valve never go back on features like this. It will get improved over time, but not deleted.
Saying CS2 feels good after upgrading to a relatively expensive PC is a privileged POV. ALOT of people who play CS2 are young and or from less fortunate countries, the game should be able to run at a decent level for them aswell. A F2P game shouldnt need a 30+ series video card.
So what? Imagine telling Ford that their cars should have the engine power of a Ferrari because young and poor people can't afford it but still want to run as fast. Sorry but no, if they can't run the game, then they can't play the game. They're not entitled to developers having to change their vision of the game and/or waste their time to optimize it to unreasonable or even impossible levels because of some guy from Siberia who still runs a Pentium 3. Not that the game is very well optimized, but even if it was, it being a game from 2023 and running on a better engine would still leave people unable to run it as well as they want.
@@carstenown PUBG is also free, so is Destiny 2, Warframe, Warzone, and countless other free games with pretty high performance. All games have different minimum and recommended specs too. Just because a game is free it doesn't mean that a low end PC should be able to run it at all, there's no correlation between the price of a game and its performance. Also csgo is a game made more than 10 years ago, we can't pretend to expect a 2023 game to have the same specs or even close. At this point anyone who struggles to run it should just upgrade their PC, and if they can't afford it, then honestly they have much bigger issues in their life than being able to play a videogame at all.
@@JerryO1995 thats a weird thing to say, most kids get introduced to the game by getting their brothers old pc. They dont have problems they just dont have a 30 series card lol. Pretending like everyone who plays cs2 without a 30 series card has life problems is a really strange take
@@carstenown I wasn't specifically mentioning kids because their unsolvable problem is precisely *being kids* which prevents them from being financially independent at all. I meant that more for adults which is a pretty big part of the CS community. Also, they inheriting arbitrary hardware does not mean they should be able to play any game on that hardware. As I said before, the game being free doesn't mean it should run on any PC. Sucks being a child but that's just part of life. I really don't see why Valve should care at all about the gear inherited by people who by the way shouldn't even play the game in the first place because it's PEGI 18. Just to make my point clear: the game isn't well optimized, but the age of players or where they're from is totally irrelevant to this, Valve don't and shouldn't care about that. They're making the game aiming to reach a certain performance with certain minimum requisites, just like any other developer in the world.
agree with this take, and i'd even take it a step further. the based criticisms valve actually need are held deep within those same players all these current conditions are pushing away. as a preorderer of csgo in 2012, if valve don't release a decent birthday update, i'm worried for the future of the game.
Valve isn't releasing anything on CS2's birthday. 1) Valve doesn't hold themselves to arbitrary deadlines; the only time I can remember them doing so is releasing CS2 "by the end of the summer" which may have ended up being too soon. They will release the next CS2 update when it's ready. 2) September 27th is a Friday and every single software engineer will tell you that you never push to production on a Friday unless you want to work on the weekend. Which no one wants to do. 3) If they drop something on the 26th, or next week, it probably won't be a "birthday update," it'll just be an "update." Even if it's a big update, I'd be shocked if they specifically called it a "birthday update" because that sets the expectation that there are birthday updates -> see 1).
@mrjaming bro... chill. I'm a long time player, not just some idiot, I'm aware of the nature of updates lol, probably more than you are in fact, I called several banwaves in spring almost to the day, along with predicting vac would use ai without explicitly saying so long before they did, etc etc. My exact point is that people like me don't talk about this. Ultimately people like you, who sound really smart and are punctual, but have no actual substantial anecdote or insight, end up being the ones heard
@@izimonics2 So you're worried about the future of the game if there's no birthday update, when they didn't do that for CS:GO and the game turned out... good, to say the least.
Every significant change in the history of CS has been met with condemnation. All through the original beta, to 1.0 and onto 1.6. CZ copped it hard. CS:GO copped it hard. CS2 is obviously going to cop it hard too. CS:GO was the product of over 20 years of Counter-strike refinement. Replicating the intricacies, and/or idiosyncracies of an engine into a new engine is a recipe for madness. My single and most profound criticism of CS2, is the complete and utter lack of anti-cheat to combat the growing number of hackers. It's now at a point where newer players can't actually tell when a player is walling against them because they've never experienced this not being the case. Older, 10+ year vets can pick it a mile away, but these new guys just can't see it. That's concerning. That's a massive problem.
GO wasn’t that good it was like an 8.5/10. Also most of those changes were GAME DESIGN changes. Which Valve seems too scared and bad at game design rn. Core issues have never been addressed like netcode, anti cheat and in game ranking system. Valorant has all 3 but has the abilities and trash maps. But Valo a solid 8/10. CS2 is a 6/10 (only good for noobs like under 15k premier or lv 7 faceit)
Been playing since I was 9 - Maybe its im getting old or something im 34 now, but I just feel CS2 doesn't feel as good to play, win or do crazy flicks in. The color palate is way too bright I miss the more drab realistic CS:GO CS:S 1.6 style of the game. I always felt CS should have leaned more into its strengths which in my mind was realism. Playing 1.6 as a kid there was Lore behind each map, and agent on each faction even though it was fictional lore it was still cool to read. Played many seasons of CAL,CEVO,ESEA but in CS2 I have no drive to play other than to waste time. The game just isn't as rewarding, and there's no depth behind the game anymore other than the competitive scene. I miss community servers, custom maps, mIRC scrims, not needing to pay a company to play a game without hackers. We really don't know how good we had it in the early 2000's. Where things in games had to be discovered and shared in forums / word of mouth. Games grew with us as we figured out what was capable in them. Now every "Meta" or secret info is all out within days of the games release. Leaving you two choices play the game naturally and do what you want to find your way or youtube up the current "meta" and win.
The cheater problem is absolutely there even in lower ranks. I am playing competitive in pisslow ( I am a bad player ) and I have people HSing through smokes the second someone gets near them. It's not like they are spamming and getting lucky. I have spectated my games and saw people OBVIOUSLY walling and tracking me through walls. They are all lvl 1-3 accounts on steam with barely any medals on CS. But even worse, people with inventories that cost thousands of $ are hacking so blatantly because they KNOW they will not get banned anytime soon. As long as people are not spinning (wow, gj Valve, you managed to stop the easiest of cheats in the world and even that took you God knows how many years) they are free to do anything else. It's unbelievable.... I won't even mention the connection issues. I have 50 ping and it feels like I am playing at 150.
New players will put in more hours into the game and eventually get into ranks where cheaters start appearing. If it wasn't for FACEIT, the real competitive scene wouldn't be possible
I'm a firm believer that many of the issues in CS2 would be resolved with 128 tick on all platforms. It's 2024, you can't tell me they can't afford it.
.. Yeah. Sounds logical. Though humans did not seem to be able to pick out 128 tick over 64 tick servers. I believe this was tested in a huge study with many thousands of participants. And the results were that people clearly were not able to tell which was which.
@@Habib_Osman well we can nearly all agree that CS2 servers feel ass compared to csgo servers with subtick so drop sub tick and give 128. When I boot Valorant it's instantly noticed how much smoother it is.
@SaintGGod said it best. But it was a reply to another comment and I want everyone to read this. "This video feels like a Valve dev trying to understand Counter-Strike Valve is responsible for bringing us Source with its dynamic gun pricing, Condition Zero, the broken ass CSGO release, broken hitboxes until 2016, R8, Krieg/AUG + UMP metas taking too long to be resolved, VACnet being a total and utter failure and CS2 so far with their lovely anticheat somehow managing to ban legit players instead of rage togglers Oh don't forget WE THE COMMUNITY have to make our own AC with platforms like FACEIT and ESEA, we make the skins, maps and now we're fixing bugs for them in CS2 Who is responsible for making CS a success again? The game itself was a damn mod made by 2 college kids. Valve hasn't even created CS."
What had we learned? Do not give any corpo game company God status. We now have people who wants to give criticism to the game while the other simp for valve. Valve could rob them the next day and they would be Okey with it
Valve did communicate on fps issues. The blog post recommending gsync+vsync+reflex says that running the game above monitor refresh rate cause stutter and other issues. I don’t think optimization is on their to-do list, they just assume that everyone without fps cap at refresh rate is dumb.
Have they ever played a game with higher FPS to feel what the input lag is? I hate how games with 300fps look on my 144hz monitor but I only do it to get rid of input lag. Saying that you should stick to refresh rate of your monitor is like "bro just buy better PC (monitor)"
Something I have noticed that I have made a habit of doing a strafe jump every time to get onto any crouch jump height and I almost never miss unless I forget to do this. I have started doing this since the beta faze of cs2
The biggest issue is that CSGO to CS2 was somehow a worse transition than OW1 to OW2. So much cut content, and for some reason it feels like they're starting from square one instead of utilizing what they learned through the history of CS
That's right bro. Cause you were hopping ever single day to play official game modes like Flying Scoutsman and Dangerzone. Tell me about how bad this transition was between OW2 and I'll show you an entirely new video game that got cancelled and substituted for a 5v5 tf2 ripoff.
A server can't run more than a couple of matches before we hit 50% jump consistency? That's kind of wild. I'm enjoying the hell out of Counter-Strike again for the first time in a few years but CS2 is definitely not perfect. There was a bug during one of Team Liquid's games where Twitstzz killed the last player in the clutch and went for a defuse but the game kept cancelling his defuse. Whether or not he had enough time is irrelevant - The point is the bug is there and it can majorly impact a match where one round means all the difference.
I tried csgo on a community server in 2024 because I was curious. I could only find a strange russian server with 108 ping. I can say with certainty that the hitreg under suboptimal networking conditions is absolutely abhorrent in csgo. That genuinely is where the massive benefit of subtick comes from. When I play 100 ping on a cs2 server the difference is night and day. The delay is still there, but the disadvantage is minimized to something playable.
I think there's the core oroblem with subtick. It was meant to be more precise, but instead it feels like it is impossible to hit consistent shots, but some random shots are more likely to hit. You can see it even on pro level - crosshair placement changed to wider angels, pros missing a lot more than in CS:GO, the rise of more +w-kinda tactics and rushes, some rounds being total chaos, and overall results and individual form of players sways a lot, and feels almost random.
I started cs2, as a player that plays only mmorpg. This game for new player is horrible. I'm not kidding. I can see that people cheat, because bro, in death match you can see the cam of the people, and it's very annoying to be seeing people cheating. What the fuck kind of game is so bad that you put new players in the same bag as cheaters? I did 5 hours of cs2, two games without hackers, this shit is insane. I un-installed it right after. This game is horrible because of cheats. And then there's also how much flicking is important, if you can't flick, you're dead. And there's also the toxicity, it's crazy. I. Then tried valorant. No cheaters, no toxicity, but magic? What if I want to play a simple game without magic? I can't, because cs2 is the most played and is just a cheat imperium Edit : objectively, the game is good though. I enjoyed the game and it's so bad, because I want to play the game, but there is just so many cheaters..
Ur just bad . There are a lot of cheaters but rarely in death match. Only new accounts levelling up. Came across a cheater in death match today for the first time in months
@@dam0AU you can't compare my gameplay as a new account to your gameplay on your account that you have been using for month. Valve putw cheaters and new accounts in the same games, it's a fact and it makes the game horrible for new player. Me being bad has nothing to do with doing 5 hours of games with fucking helicopters
if you didn't buy prime, you most definitely should. It's kind of the first barrier to keep cheaters out, most don't dare to waste their money on a game they'll get banned from. On the other hand, sorry to break it to you but if you've only played MMORPGs then you most likely have no idea what a cheater looks like. This is going to sound harsh but it's the reality of it: for the first hundred hours of playing you're going to be the worst player in almost every single match. You're not good enough to play under the same conditions as better players and you're not experienced enough to know what cheating looks like. Unless you experienced blatant cheats like spinbots, what you claim to have seen in others' cameras is most likely good crosshair placement and map knowledge with a pinch of lucky prefires. I get kicked from a good amount of DM matches for "cheating" by players who have played for longer than you, so you can trust me on this one, you don't know what cheating on CS looks like.
@@JerryO1995 would you recommend aimlab training for better aim, or rather jsur playing? I don't want to be the worst of each game, and particularly don't want to be a weight, so training in another way seems like a good idea. I did a fair amount of aimlab already and I'm generally in the top 50% so "not half bad" literally, but I have particularly bad tracking
The main issues are the lack of fluidity due to subticks and this fucking shittyass netcode. I really miss CSGO when you wouldn't get shot and die after taking cover.
for me the main issues are the cheaters (pretty sure trust factor is not a thing in cs2). What bothers me most is the contrast in gunplay to csgo. the amount of running and shooting that rewards bad players is insane. Skill ceiling and floor were brought so close together that is barely a difference between good and bad players. Just run and gun but that doesnt feel like the fps i started loving in the first place. Spraying feels garbage, you can move and shoot. you cant hit moving targets
Actually i stopped playing csgo because it felt so inconsistent and i couldn't optimize it. Now with the launch last year it felt better (didnt understand all the hate)from the start, only to get worse after every update. Dying before i can see the playermodel. Dying begind walls. Inconsistent movement, variable jumphight. Vac Ban not working, subtick instead of 128-tick, loss of gamemodes, Bullets not hitting. Fps dropping as much as 150fps comparing to the beginning of the match. This all makes the game feel "unfair", everyone wants to believe they can use their full potential and show their skill. Not saying that we all can play like s1mple on Zywoo. But I think adressing few of these issues and doing something about it and communicate it is part of the solution. There will always be haters
At the point of Valorant's release this assertion is entirely correct. By then CSGO was, for most intents and purposes, a solved game. Decent players had a good grip on economy, utility, recoil and map knowledge after rehearsing each for hundreds if not thousands of hours. Granted there is lots of carryover between the two and Counter Strike veterans did have a headstart going into Valorant as a result of it but the playing field was still leveled in each area without that carryover where pretty much everyone is made to start from scratch (maps, agents, team composition, weapon, recoil). You weren't gonna get decent at Global Offensive in 500 hours at the time, but in Valorant? Totally possible.
think about learning how to smoke execute on every bombsite vs valorant where u just pick that agent who uses an ipad to place their smokes like a CoD killstreak. i want what ur smoking bro
Am I happy with CS2's current state? No. Do I think it is bad or unplayable? No. If this was a product released by EA I would not be so forgiving but Valve always comes good in the end and they are one of the only developers I give leeway for "release and patch"
@@Daniel-sz6gf They shouldn't be taking a feature complete game from us in the form of CSGO and forcing us to play CS2. The content is gone and we don't got a choice
The competitive CS is a joke, getting matched vs a full stack as a solo player, add on top of that the fact the stack has 2x your rating. Thats without even talking about the fact EVERYONE is cheating above 20k rating. If it wasnt for the Russian players, this game would definitely not be on any charts what so ever.
I had about 1k hours in csgo and stopped playing it for a long time, so when I started playing cs2 it honestly didn’t feel that bad. I guess the biggest difference for me however is I don’t play the game super competitively, I mostly que with friends who didn’t play csgo and are pretty new and I’m around gold nova so I don’t really get bothered by glitchy peaks or cheaters like other people do. However, I do understand the game is especially impossible to play at a high level without faceit, which in its own right is kind of unacceptable. I think the largest issue I’ve had with cs2 is 1: the amount of content missing from go, idk if they even plan to add everything go had to 2 but I was extremely upset to launch cs2 after the beta only for it to have literally 20% of the content go had. 2: valve seems like they aren’t doing anything, key word seems because valve doesn’t like to communicate, but the lack of attention the games been getting is just a little disappointing. I’m specifically upset with the lack of new content (like I already said) but mainly because it honestly felt like go was given more attention. I know this also might not be a fair comparison to make, but with valves recent release of deadlock and releasing update after update for that game, it comes off like they’ve just given up on cs2. (Ik the deadlock and cs team are completely different, the point is valve have the means and motivation to polish a new release but leave cs in the dust) Regardless of my frustrations, I still really enjoy playing cs2 and most of the time have a fun experience when playing it, I think people are over exaggerating a little.
I just chill. I'm decent at the game and I don't really care about any of the stuff. I can play the game, I can enjoy winning, and it works. CSGO just felt more buggy than CS2 for me due to the old engine. New engine just feels more modern and the new features are what really keep me in like the new buy menu, the loadout, ranks for each map, nadable smokes, jump throws without the need for binds, and just a nice looking game.
Remove subtick, give us 128 tick. Bring back how the gunplay and movement felt. Fix the bugs and give us an anticheat. That's all I've ever seen anybody want.
remember when everyone was coping at the release of cs2 and people were like oh yea they are on holidays because it just released they will come back and fix everything lmao. I cant believe I have to say this but I've been playing Valorant until they bring Cache back or remove Dust II from Prem and I'm actually having fun. I wish I wasnt i really do
cheaters is also a regional thing. in eu we have many cheaters, even on faceit. countries like romania and albania are infested with cheaters and are getting matched with the rest of europe.
On the cheater problem - I'm seeing less than 10% of the cheaters now, compared to half a year ago. People weren't really exaggerating it back then, things have just improved immensely imo
Response lag was noticeable when I tried cs2 the 2nd day of its public release. Specially coming from quick scoping in csgo with the scout. Hence I shifted my gameplay to mp9 and galil, rarely the m4a1s/ak in cs2
I am not interested in Valve COMMUNICATING with "us". I only care about the actual work on the game they should be doing (because it's immensely profitable so investment in further improvements just make sense), not what they say. Scenario 1: They make all servers 128 tick overnight and say nothing, you just play the game and notice that it feels good all of a sudden. Scenario 2: They make a big blog post about how they deleted a few ferns on Ancient to raise the framerate in T spawn from 29% of what it should be to 31% of what it should be. Scenario 1 wins.
I feel so validated. The game is, of course, not 100% polished, but it's still a damn good game. I've never understood the frankly toxic negativity that some folks spew, especially about the alleged cheater problems and the game being "broken". I felt so gaslit by all of it, and so it's nice to have someone give such a level headed take rather than one by you-know-who that is constructed to farm engagement.
CS2 feels to me a stripped down version of CSGO strictly made for competitive play , the fun elements is missing from this game. Took away all the maps and game modes, theres not even separate faction for each maps they still using the same T and CT models since beta. Their biggest mistake was shutting down CSGO which was at peak popularity and replacing with unfinished game, should have kept both games until CS2 is completely optimised.
Every FPS game has issues with hackers nowadays, I don’t get why CS gets singled out for it. I think the main issues for CS2 rn is lack of content for how long the game has been out.. why would people come back to the game when there’s less content? Why would the casual audience come back when there’s nothing good on the server browser? I’ve been apart of communities like OSRS & fighting games that hate change, but saying CS players hate change is wild when they changed nothing but smokes man…
I believe the line following while on stairs stuff (red line on mirage ramp) is linked to source 2 physics engine. What I mean is : logically, when you go down stairs, then your hands would « fall » to the lower stairs, where as when you climb up stairs, your hands would « climb » with you, thus having some latency since you first go up stairs with you feets then only you move your body on top of it. So I assume valve devs coded it this way so it sticks better to real world physics. At the end of the day, I really believe that for valve, this is a feature, not a bug. (Sadly for us) I really don’t know if that makes any sense to any one else but whatever.
The stairs in CSGO were probably just a ramp in terms of collision but CS2 wastes extra cycles processing each stair with a way to get the model to walk up them which is why it doesn't behave the same way.
Dying before seeing an enemy is not peeker's advantage. It means enemy movement is delayed compared to shooting. Probably due to smoothing, as seems to be the case in Valorant where this delay is horrendously big on high ping. One video has put out a nice theory that the server takes subtick "started strafing/stopped strafing" commands, but processes them and distributes to the players only at ticks. So, the difference can go up to 1000/64 = 15ms. Opposing team's clients then suddenly get informed that the enemy has already been strafing for this amount of time. So, the game either has to make them teleport to the right position or move smoothly with increased speed/acceleration.
I have 1300 premier games in cs2, over 2k games. I didnt play csgo much at all maybe like 100 hours total. I can confidently say up until about a month a go premier games where a 50/50 of you had a cheater or not. Now you get the occasional waller. I feel like alot of the MM problems (massive dofference in elo across teams, long as queue times and cheaters) could be splved by simply not allowing people with >500 hours queue against people with 2000+ hours. Cheaters always have the same accounts, around 200 hours played tops, new account, no badges etc.
@@w0nderwallCS Jumping is fucked, bhopping is complete rng and not viable, so are all advanced movement techs. Bhops and KZ was half the fun for me, no it's just a generic fps game. It doesnt feel like source at all since they banned desubticked binds and alias binds.
Servers not being able to handle the game makes sense to me now. I play casual matches very early in the morning before work and I get ZERO packet loss and strange lags. I assume servers have been reset because some must go on "standby" due to the low load during the night. By noon, when I hop for a quick session again, literally every server has a nearly constant 0.6-2% packet loss and games become basically unplayable for me. I'm holding an easy angle but people literally teleport past my crosshair and insta-shoot me. I know there might be routing issues, but this trend has been going on for a couple weeks now. Been having the jump issue too and thought it was just a skill issue on my part, but apparently not...
Honestly my biggest gripe with the game is It just feels like a way less smooth, way worse performing CSGO with less content and better looking maps. It honestly just feels worse than GO in every way except visuals.
10 Cheaters in 100+ games is not possible. In the last 100 games I've had probably around 85-90 games with cheaters and in most of them is multiple or full stack.
the goods - I hit every no scope - the smokes are pretty - the maps are pretty the bads - I hit every no scope to people report me for "cheating" - sometimes it's lagging a lot for some reasons and my pc is not even 2 years old - lack of content & seasons? - cheaters (leetify says I've had 18 of them banned in my september games so far) - people griefing, kinda worse than ever
Valve has the money and resources to make millions of players happy and simply choose not to. It's just bizarre at this point. Hire some passionate devs who are also tryhards at the game and it will flourish.
@@gordonneverdies You won't hire many people this way - there are very few people who can be expected to work on a game and then come home and sweat it - it's not a good approach the team needs to expand as currently they are going at snail's pace
Thank goodness this video was made. Someone needed to say this. speaking from the casual side of the community who just plays casually with friends in competitive mm, we have tons of fun. It was a struggle at first, but the amount of cheaters have gone down significantly over the past few months. All these tiny problems don't really mean much to this side of the community. The biggest issue to the player base as a whole imo is just the lack of new content.
Wow a very brave video on your part. I"ll try to chime in with my own experience, since contrary to what you stated i actually discovered the issues myself long before i found pros/youtubers raising those as well. For context I had about 3k hours in CS:GO total, was global elite for 2-3 years constantly and was lvl 8 faceit. 1. Performance - to me performance wasn't an issue with CS2 even at the start. 4070 + i5-13600KF on 240hz, i think i had a few drops on release below 240 fps but it was negligible. I haven't had any in 6 months or so. I play 1440x1080 with the highest settings possible. 2. Gameplay - I am seriously 100% convinced that inaccuracy values when running, jumping or doing anything incorrectly in general are SO MUCH MORE FORGIVING. They made the game for lower skilled players to appeal to a wider audience. Which is just sad as fuck, but a natural evolution in any game trying to stay relevant. Because the average person is a loser. Furthermore i myself get kills which i am convinced i should not be getting. As in getting killed weird is obviously difficult to judge when you are on the receiving side. But i am more than a few times on the giving side here. Something is just fucked up and we need to pray its not the subtick because we all know they will NEVER go back on it or even admit they made a mistake in the first place. I don't even have a solid theory on the reason. My only one is the forgiving inaccuracy + subtick. 3. Anticheat - I can guarantee you that you are incorrect about the trust factor. I have always had high trust factor, in the last 2-3 years of CS:GO i probably encountered 20 cheaters in total in global elite matchmaking. I loved that about the game, i only played faceit cause of 128 tick. In CS2 i don't have the words to describe what i have encountered in both premier and competitive. There are some waves of a month or so where i see no cheaters on premier like you mentioned, but that's about it. Started at 14k rating, peaked at 23.5k around 2 months ago (i needed about 300-400 elo to get into top 1000 world) and now im at exactly 20k. Because 80% of my games there is a cheater. And even worse when he is on my team queued with a friend because i have no option to do anything except leave and lose 1000 elo, which is how i declined so fast because i can't stand playing with a cheater on my own team. it's in an absolutely pathetic state. Rant over. 4. Matchmaking - I cannot get started here. RANDOM elo rewards. RANDOM. Some games i gain 600 elo and lose 90, others i lose 450 elo and gain 110. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE AVERAGE ELO OF THE PLAYERS OF THE TEAM. I have tried to figure what it does have to do with and i seriously have absolutely nothing. My last ~10 games all give +110 and -330 or so. But let's forget about the elo for now. At 23k points i sometimes get solo queued unranked teammates which have no clue how this game is played. They cant spray, cant aim, cant throw utility, as in absolute beginners with 50-100 hours. Given the horrible matchmaking system you'd expect fast queue times - nope. Try playing at a non popular hour and i sit 5 mins in queue. Garbage matchmaking, garbage ranking system, garbage splitting of the players into premier and competitive. 5. Bugs - the only two bugs which really pissed me off were the jumping and the water sounds. Other than that i can't really recall any specific one that gave me a hard time when playing. Love your content and videos bro, have been watching you for 2-3 years at least. Learned a lot of nades and strats from you. I am kinda glad you made this video as to try to present things from a different POV but i think you are a tad bit optimistic here. Regardless we can both agree we are in desperate need of some of that these days. In summation: CS2 devs/Valve can all line up and suck my f1ck1ng d1ck. Peace.
Valve only care that people are unboxing cases and trading on the market, _they do not care_ about the state of the game while the community continues to pour money into it. Either we convince a bunch of gamblers to boycott their provider, or nothing changes... Guess which it will be? Get used to the cheaters, the game issues, and the lack of development progress in general, it's not changing.

@@chocolates182 why should Valve prioritize the server browser? I think it should be last on their list

Good times for the kids who are born in the 2000 to grow up and let go of CS. We had our fun in csgo
so then why bother making a source 2 port to a perfectly fine game if you knew you were working on another title at the same time? why not allocate all the resources to deadlock instead of trying to pump out games and never looking back at them ever again.
Ignorant ahh comment
But Valve actually did fix the problem in TF2 for a while now. Right now, it could be argued that TF2 is in a better state than CS2 is.
@@cxlciummmivthey needed something, the community is massive and has been asking them forever to do something new with the title. This was nothing but a low effort way of shutting up the community. Unfortunately, I think they will just focus on deadlock from here.
It’s just annoying having an eSport where the developers do not understand any circumstances have two way communication
claims to only have played against 10 cheaters is crazy or hes super lucky cause hell nah they are everywhere
the trust system was designed by usa citizens. and, we're not exactly known for fairness or rehibilitation xD
i've come across maybe max 2 or 3 cheaters in cs2 with good trust factor IN MM, not any other mode, there it is a little different, but in all modes not more than 10 cheaters were met by me, while in go i met only like 1 cheater in the span of 2 years once i got good trust factor
@@ziemniak0killl251 low rank?
@@banjo491 in go gold nova 4 and in cs2 11k, not that much, that's true, but still, considering how many cheaters there are and how they're rising up the ranks, they had to have crossed my rank points at some points while i was playing and i still didn't get matched up with them, so it doesn't really matter as much, i mean they have to get to the higher rank in some way where there is many of them
The fact they locked the entire game from running at 128 tick at all even for pros and Faceit players says a lot about Valve.
I genuinely hate them for this
The lack of content is really the biggest problem
The reason I complain super hard is because I feel like I wasted 4000 hours on a game that rewarded you based on the merit of your skill & game knowledge just for them to baby mode the hell out of it to attract noobs & level the skill floor on top of bugs, cheaters, & game quality failures they refuse to fix. Valve 100% deserve every piece of negative feedback they are getting because literally anyone can win duels on cs2 now. It is no longer a game of pure skill, reflex, & intuition. It’s straight up who can run & shoot first thanks to subtick + mp9. Miserable.
csgo was fine, not perfect, sometimes good and "playable" atleast on 128tick. But with cs2 i just quit and left my team.....
Hey elige
B a l d
4090 and 13900k 1280x960 high settings 375-420 fps somehow. Drops down to 250 on ancient t spawn lol. Csgo I would get 800 constant
Imagine going from 150 to like 90 😂
you guys are tripping, I have a rx 6800 with a 5800x3d and 32gb of RAM and I average 350fps most maps, worst dips I have are to 200fps playing at 1440x1080 with mix of low/medium and high settings as well
i get 700-800 avg frames on a 7800xt and 7800x3d you guys should try using the program “process lasso” and disabling smt or the intel counterpart i can’t remember what it’s called it gave me around 80-90 frames on avg by testing with fps benchmark map

Copium assumption that Valve is working on anything. I think they dont, they just do little maintaince so you can open game and spend some cash 😢
Even after the recent update, you're still right. It was nothing more than a cash grab. "Open cases"
Have 7k hours. Want to play. I refuse until it is fixed.
Agree. I have around 7k hours in 10 years in csgo. But cs2 is deleted for me!
I refuse to play till sub tick is removed. I play current cs source pub and 5v5 mix servers.
How long ago did you throw your toys out of the pram?
@@piggybaggy242 Well bad luck because subtick is here to stay, valve never go back on features like this. It will get improved over time, but not deleted.

The worst bug is when you try to jump on something and get pulled back down, shit has been driving me insane
@@JerryO1995 cs2 isnt ment to be a luxury car for the happy few, its a global f2p game. Gatekeeping the game thru specs is bad for everyone
3) If they drop something on the 26th, or next week, it probably won't be a "birthday update," it'll just be an "update." Even if it's a big update, I'd be shocked if they specifically called it a
"birthday update" because that sets the expectation that there are birthday updates -> see 1).

I do not agree at all about the brightness of the game, CSGO was way too dark it was annoying CS2 is perfectly fine to me in that regard
Thank you voo. I appreciate your conversation.
It's 2024, you can't tell me they can't afford it.
i feel that. and, it's not as if mm has ever been and most likely ever will be a standard for comp. hard coding 64 was an odd choice.
.. Yeah. Sounds logical. Though humans did not seem to be able to pick out 128 tick over 64 tick servers. I believe this was tested in a huge study with many thousands of participants. And the results were that people clearly were not able to tell which was which.

The biggest issue is that CSGO to CS2 was somehow a worse transition than OW1 to OW2.
So much cut content, and for some reason it feels like they're starting from square one instead of utilizing what they learned through the history of CS
Bro

It's been a year since release, and CS2's server browser still does not work.
I can't, because cs2 is the most played and is just a cheat imperium
Edit : objectively, the game is good though.
@@JerryO1995 It was spinbots, but yeah I understand what you mean.

Just started playing cs2 in the spring only ever had 60 hrs in cs-go im now at 800hrs actually enjoying it a lot right now
The main issues are the lack of fluidity due to subticks and this fucking shittyass netcode.
Spraying feels garbage, you can move and shoot. you cant hit moving targets
it just feels like valve is letting cs2 go and just put every resource to dead lock, it feels like they just don't fkg care about cs2
"valorant was much easier to learn"
dude what are you smoking...
It was definitely true earlier in Valorant's lifetime. Probably not true now.
the mechanics are easier to learn
think about learning how to smoke execute on every bombsite vs valorant where u just pick that agent who uses an ipad to place their smokes like a CoD killstreak. i want what ur smoking bro
Except it is. Valorant is the easier game
Am I happy with CS2's current state? No. Do I think it is bad or unplayable? No. If this was a product released by EA I would not be so forgiving but Valve always comes good in the end and they are one of the only developers I give leeway for "release and patch"

I think the largest issue I’ve had with cs2 is
1: the amount of content missing from go, idk if they even plan to add everything go had to 2 but I was extremely upset to launch cs2 after the beta only for it to have literally 20% of the content go had.
(Ik the deadlock and cs team are completely different, the point is valve have the means and motivation to polish a new release but leave cs in the dust)
Regardless of my frustrations, I still really enjoy playing cs2 and most of the time have a fun experience when playing it, I think people are over exaggerating a little.
We don't want 128 tick and neither do you. You just brainwashed
And give us cobble cache train and a operation until the end of next year i am happy

nah its a good video I think you make a lot of good points
remember when everyone was coping at the release of cs2 and people were like oh yea they are on holidays because it just released they will come back and fix everything lmao.
Seems like there's not enough velocity when you miss crouch jumps, so that might be related
Their biggest mistake was shutting down CSGO which was at peak popularity and replacing with unfinished game, should have kept both games until CS2 is completely optimised.
what you said about cheaters is so true. Ive played well over 100 premier matches at around 15k elo and not once ran into a blatant cheater.
(Sadly for us)
I really don’t know if that makes any sense to any one else but whatever.
Cheaters always have the same accounts, around 200 hours played tops, new account, no badges etc.
game runs like shit and feels like shit. maybe that means it’s just shit?
I think movement got much much more cluncky, but I got used to the shooting mechanic.
Movement feels fine, it's the jumping that is scuffed
@@w0nderwallCS Jumping is fucked, bhopping is complete rng and not viable, so are all advanced movement techs. Bhops and KZ was half the fun for me, no it's just a generic fps game. It doesnt feel like source at all since they banned desubticked binds and alias binds.
21:14 his name rhymes with MOBA
In the last 100 games I've had probably around 85-90 games with cheaters and in most of them is multiple or full stack.
the goods
- I hit every no scope
- the smokes are pretty
- the maps are pretty
the bads
- I hit every no scope to people report me for "cheating"
- sometimes it's lagging a lot for some reasons and my pc is not even 2 years old
- lack of content & seasons?
- cheaters (leetify says I've had 18 of them banned in my september games so far)
- people griefing, kinda worse than ever
You are a stronger man than I if you have not lost all hope by this point, would prefer if you didn't glaze Valve so fucking hard though.
I also found a big bug. Each game in Premier I meet 2-3 cheaters. In CS GO i used to see 1 maybe every 3 or 4 games.
Valve has the money and resources to make millions of players happy and simply choose not to. It's just bizarre at this point. Hire some passionate devs who are also tryhards at the game and it will flourish.
Not possible you are either one or the other 😂 people only have so much time in a day
@@MartinMlBanic Well, both then. Even better.
Peace.
Never thought a guy named Donald could offer such a nuanced breakdown of CS.
fun fact: the word swayback doesn't have to do with the shape of your spine. svag means weak in Old Norse and Swedish. it just means weak back. :)
