The 757 has always been my favorite single aisle plane. I think Boeing made a mistake discontinuing the 757 in favor of expanding the versions on the 737.

This 27 years old aircraft looks better than many younger aircraft I flew on... The cabin looks great and the PSUs were replaced to the PSUs from the 737NG from the last years.

Little trivia: Cheyenne was the site where finished B-24 Liberators had their final equipment installed before being sent off to the 8th Air Force during WW2.

Glad you enjoyed your flight on Delta a company I worked for 40 years prior to my retirement.
Congratulations, mu uncle worked for Northwest for many years as the Ice Man in MSP and then to Delta. And my cousin was a ramp marshall, worked his way up down in Atlanta working computers and such then got back to MSP working back at the hub there doing Maintenance. They state that both before the merger treated them pretty well state that it is a great company to work for.

Its gonna be a sad day when airlines are gonna retire this plane, it was sad when finnair retires the last 757 in 2014. (I have flown more than 120 hours in B757 😂)
You don’t get that good of engine takeoff sounds on go pro, but with those engines!
757 is a rocket ship. Super powerful! Nice trim inside I find too.
The engines of those old 757s are among the best in the sky.
PW2000 are the best engines in my opinion 👌 and finnair b757 was my favourite plane and sadly now its long gone

I lived in So. Cal. for 35 years, took Delta three of four times, never again. "Delta Domestic First Class" is an oxymoron! It's just Economy with bad food (included)! But then, flying Domestic in America is like saying "flying in ALL of Europe!" When I moved to the US in 1984 "Legacy" airlines (as you called them) were wonderful!
You can tell that 757 is 27 years old. However, i wonder if other airlines offer a better product for that route?
i will be flying first class on a 757 from msp -> mco soon! this video was super helpful and gave me a great idea of what to expect! super looking forward to the flight ✈️

I booked my Orlando trip, Amtrak then flying back home to Minneapolis. I booked Delta. Airlines it was originally on a boeing 757-222 series, first class in 5D. Now I got a notice stating aircraft change, which I was pleased to hear, instead I will be flying on a A321. First class, basically A321 is similar to the 757, different is the wheel configuration and the windows of the cockpit. I love the Airbuses I cannot wait this will be my first First Class flight on Delta, and a first on a A321.

I've been under a rock. I've only ever been first/business class on international flights. Just found out that domestic flights don't even offer bed seats. Might as well just fly domestic and spend the $ on sumn else when you land lol. Thanks for this review.
Not only are delta the best domestic US carrier, but they also have the best fleets for aircraft enthusiasts.

My favorite thing about Delta (And some other domestic airlines) is they don't really care about your carry-on as long as it fits in the bin and is under 50 lbs which is great because many airlines, particularly foreign airlines are very strict on weight and dimensions, although obviously the low-cost carriers like Spirit and Frontier are like this too, but for those that don't charge extra for a carry-on they pretty much don't care.
I hate to be contradictory, but I just flew Denver to Maui with Delta. Airbus A319 Den-Sea and B757 SEA-OGG and was truly surprised by how bad it was. After paying for first class I would (to paraphrase Boris Johnson's hyperbole) rather be found dead in a ditch than pay another 40 bucks to use the lounge. I found the seats to be uncomfortable and cramped, the food unappetizing, the aircraft dirty. Don't know about the in-seat entertainment because it was broken. The cabin crew were fine, but I generally don't bother them for anything.
Part of this is my fault because I can't help comparing them with business class in Edelweiss (excellent!), JAL, Lufthansa, Air Canada and even a disappointing trip on what turned out to be United Faux-laris. The Delta flight was much more comparable with recent flights with Easy Jet (Europe) and Southwest. How much was that we spent on Delta? Won't make that mistake again.

How unique, your 757 did not have winglets? There’s only a handful of delta 757 and 767 which don’t have the conversion
MSP is my hometown airport, never had a bad experience and delta has always been awesome!
I bet a lot of people will disagree with me, but I think the Boeing 757 is the best looking airliner.

Delta is the least worst of the US air carriers. I prefer to fly with them whenever practical or whenever budgetary limits permit.

Thanks Lauren I will start doing this - on this flight my son had the children’s meal (chicken nuggets and crisps/chips I think) and my daughter had a gluten free meal. Sadly they don’t do a guten free kids meal and she didn’t really enjoy it :(

I remember as a kid in the 90s taking field trips to this airport (MSP) and going to McDonald’s to get ice cream. No security. A cone was $1. My uncle worked at northwest airlines (before delta bought it) and I could go to the hanger and go on airplanes, no security. Native Minnesotans hate the name Terminal 1 and 2.

It's domestic travel. You don't need a lay flat bed for a sub 4 hour flight. That is why the ticket cost just over $400, not $1400.

I’ll be flying 1st class on the 757-300 from PHX to MSP (and back) in November. First class doesn’t seem all that different from coach but as a bigger guy it’s worth the price for the larger seat alone. I’m a nervous flier but still looking forward to the experience

Oh wow!, you flew on the airline I fly with always. Glad they gave you good service. = ) Been on 757 first class out of Orlando, FL many times. = ) Yeah, best to have your own headphones for IFE.
I used to fly that particular flight often, when that half of Delta was Northwest Airlines. Due to the poor weather conditions, Northwest flew all DC9s and, Saab communiter aircraft. Their longer haul flights were to and from Asia on Northwest Orient, where they flew a lot of different larger, but sub 747 aircraft. Many Asian runways at the time could not safely support a 747, or L1011, and the DC10 had a poor safety record, so I remember flying serveral times to Toyko on a variety of Boeing aircraft. That MSP to SFO route was how you got to Tokyo, and other International destinations on Northwest Orient from anywhere outside Calfornia, or Washington. All the classes on that and all the Orient flights were fantastic, and made this an extremely popular run. US Air, hubbed out of Pittsburgh, code shared and shared all frequent flyer miles with Northwest, making the two an airline that could easily compete with the larger carriers. The other feature of Northwest was that all the pilots were trained to land in horrible weather and impossible to land in airports like Bert Mooney in Butte, MT (the most dangerous US airport). Just thought you might like to know that the trip you took was on the last legacy route of a once great airline, who set the bar for the flight experience for decades.
Great video. That legroom looks pathetic for first. Maybe it's because I been watching a lot of 777 and 330 videos. Their premium select looks more spacious than domestic first.
