- Sometimes there just isn't a PPF kit available. So the solution is... it has to be done by bulk. Bulk cutting PPF, if done properly, will result in the cleanest way to install PPF. You have complete control of how you want the film to be stretched and tucked. This method is tricky to master, but once you get a hang of it, you open a world to new possibilities when it comes to paint protection film installation.
This video I show how to wrap the TechArt bumper of this 996 Porsche Turbo. Seems somewhat intimidating, but it actually lays down straight forward.
For those curious as to why I never removed the headlights (There is a toggle inside of the bonnet, that when you disengage the mechanism, the headlights will simply push out of their housings, and you just pull them out).
This particular 911 Turbo has a very complex audio system, with multiple amplifiers and subwoofers under the hood. When I removed one of the panels to access the headlight mechanism, there was so much audio wiring with zero organization (looked like a bowl of spaghetti ). I said to myself..... HELL NOPE, not touching any of this wiring today. I decided to wrap the bumper with the headlights in place.

Thx Mondo for the kind words!!!!
Can you do a vid on how you do the seams like where the bottom piece meets the bulk section?
Hoist makes a world of difference for precision and saving your back
100% agreed. Saving for something else prior to getting a lift.
Awesome video! May I ask how you guys make the slip solution and tack solution?
Great video..how did you connect together upper and lower parts of ppf?? Thanks🙂
Great videos! What do you use for removing glue residue when peeling old PPF off? Can you do a video on that? Thanks for the info. Amazing installs
Great idea. I will. Just incase youre wondering, I am a big fan of CarPro TarX for adhesive removal.
So you cut on paint when folding film inside?
Did you overlapped the cut in the mid section of bottom part of bumper ??
How to start over the tail light on pajero sport?
For a standard kit like this that includes the mirrors . Would a rough estimate of this job be close to $700-$800?
Every region is a bit different. Here in Canada, people charge as low as $1000 for a full front end. My shop aims for approximately 1800-2000 average for a front end. This is in Toronto, Canada. US pricing may vary.
What kind of blade do you use for bulking?
30 degree art blade
Also you need a lift man, my back kills me after and I been trying to look for a decent one.
Nussbaum lifts are the best!
