This show would be SO successful if it came out streaming today. No need to worry about ad revenue, corporate sponsors, etc. Just let the people consume it and let the hype grow. This was such an interesting concept and it was done well.
It’s weird I just discovered this because I told my girlfriend: “what if there was a show where the human race simultaneously fell asleep for 5 minutes, and during those five minutes, the survivors all shared the same dream?!” She said it’s probably been done before and I found this. :/
They blacked-out at the OXIDE stadium. Gr a p hen e oxide. They mention clots, sepsis metastatic cancer, low platelets. .....Remind you of anything? @@Easyfilm84
@@Easyfilm84Try to watch it. Although big bummer because only season 1, and you've seen the final scene. Haha There is also a book, but the series is loosely based on it.
One of the best season ending ever! Also, one of the biggest false hope planted in fans ever when giving them hope for season 2. It was a really potent and promising series. Too bad it was discontinued!
Such a great show! ... Wish they could have finished the story - as it (and fans/everyone) deserved! ... Not cut it short - leaving it to ONLY one season! Bring this back ABC!
I was in the generic sense of anyone being into a show, obsessed with this when it came out back in 2009. I watching every episode that I had DVR an event, because I worked at Walmart back then, night shift, so I had a pre-recorded and would set up to be eating something in the morning when I got home from work and watching every episode. And one of the few biggest things that I loved about the show was because it was coming off the coattails of Lost and yes, with some of the same actors/actresses, playing part in this new show as well, I don’t recall Lost doing it this well, but I vaguely remember every single episode of this show landed on such a big cliffhanger, and it didn’t even have to be a scene that was an activity going on that ended in a cliffhanger, but just something someone said, leaving, wanting to find out how that idea from what was said continues in the next episode. My dad knew I was obsessed with this show and I vividly remember him telling me that he read an article that by the end of the season when the last episode appeared that it wouldn’t be continuing because he said it was getting canceled so knowing that agent Benford fell while in the building during the FlashFoward, It obviously gives a question to the cliffhanger of that episode of if he was able to get up and make it out of the building before it exploded, but I remember watching the entire end of that episode, and I was literally tearing up and crying because I knew there wasn’t going to be any more show after that. There are a lot of people since then back supposedly stopped watching ABC, because around the time of this shows ending and other shows, they had way too often a repetitive in the five years after that, canceling shows way too soon in their infancy. And I remember me and my dad trying to get into a couple different shows in their first season in that five-year period after the show ended, and my dad telling me that the ratings were low or that ABC was going to cancel that as well, and I started to get irritated that I was just willingly open to canceling anything that didn’t have huge ratings right off the bat and I remember being irritated, and from that point on for a while any any new show that I had watched on ABC, I never got my hopes up for because I thought ABC would just have a regularity of canceling shows in their infancy. But this is one of the few shows in my life I remember that I was obsessively into. And I have considered the complete series, this one season on DVD, and yes, like other people on here have said before, not only was it such an interesting concept for a show, but it could have done even better, and more with the continuation of these visions, and how they try to play out each season, but I do kind of think and agree that was more people watching streaming than standard cable channels nowadays, which has actually been said quite a bit by other Media head people that have shows that I’ve watched that pay attention to this stuff, if this show was somehow rebooted with the same concept and continued from ABC’s original one season or Netflix started this series on their own, but went with the same premise, and tried to do it just as good, I think the show would actually get quite a bit of fandom as well, along with other shows that I’ve done well in the last couple of years on Netflix too.
The show had no legs really. Where the hell could it possible go? You can only explore what people saw in their 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th Flashforward and the whole fate vs free will thing so much before it gets boring,
Hey man help me out. I'm searching for a TV show from a decade ago. I remember that the final scene depicted another planet or something appearing in the orbit of the Earth. I remember there was a woman character, a red hair woman named Sophia or Sofia. It talked about two human species. One of the looked like humans but they were not humans. And I am not talking about V. It was some other series, which I don't remember. I think the Sophia character was played by Julianne Moore but I am not sure, since I looked up her Imdb page but I didn't find anything. It also was canceled after 1 or 2 seasons. I though it was Flashforward.
From what you describe I think you might be talking about The Event from 2010. Sophia was played by Laura Innes, who looks a bit similar to Julianne Moore.
This video is posted June 2010. Today is September 15, 2015. Five years into the future and now I'm wondering where is Mark and who is Charlie looking for in her flash forward. I hope the doctor is back with the agent and that Simon is okay and happy. also that Keiko the Japanese lady and the guy got married with kiddies. :) But New Years Eve at midnight Pacific time is another Flash Forward 10 years later. 2025. Season two should have happened.
Just got through watching this show and LOVE it. All I thought about when I had life get in the way, work-family-etc.., and now I will watch The Event. After that is Revolution and probably Zero Hour. Heard all these shows were great. Flash Forward is really good.
In FF there is a boo boo. The President says his Flash Forward was him waking up beside his wife and a man comes in and says "Mr. President ". The vice president says she seen her future of being the president sooo who is supposed to be president according to that particular episode that had the scenes...? Anyway I liked it. Good ending, but really needed a season 2.

One of the best unheard of shows. Would love to see more.
loved this show, this scene in particular always stuck out to me as one of the best endings to a TV show season
Just watched the whole season on Apollo TV. So good. Sad to learn that the actress that plays Keiko died in 2020 =(
I watched this show, and the song was perfect for the moment.
Such a great show! ... Wish they could have finished the story - as it (and fans/everyone) deserved!

Bring this back ABC!
This song gives me chills... loved the show so much :(
This show is so good. Amazing plot and so exciting. It sucks it didn't continue for season 2, it would help understand a lot
Great concept for a show. Would do great if it wasn't low budget.
:( i still remember it in 2022
One of the best show
Hope they will remake a new version someday !
This show and THE OA where one of the best ever made.
If their was ever a show that needed to comeback around it's differently this 1
I just rewatched it and I need season 2 😭

An Underrated masterpiece ❤️
Any site where I can watch it again?
Band of Horses - The Funeral
They should bring this back. Is there a way we can campaign for this in front of Netflix / others?
Imagine if a hunter was about to defend himself from a wild animal.
Why do you think the death toll was so high?
The series has to be continued.
Over a decade too late
I can't stand the word consume anymore.
This won an emmy and they still axed it? Who thought that was a good idea?
Welcome to the stupidity of abc.
cheers

Four years late, but ex-presidents are also referred to as president.
