F-Zero GX: Master Class beaten without Boost Power

- this was one of those insane ideas i got while watching anime. i thought that this would make the game challenging to me again since i was breezing through master with all the bad cars and, to my surprise, the game was easier than expected.
the craziest thing is that this was my first attempt and i beat all the cups in 1 shot.
looks like this game is not that hard after all.

This makes me realise how incredibly cool the "rival boosting up to you from behind" SFX is.

This is the ultimate slap in the face to GX I’ve seen. “You say using your booster wisely is key to winning, guess what, I don’t need it.” Wish I was that good.
So sad that we don't get to see any games like these on the Wii U. Just a rehashed version of it with mario slapped on. That's what most Wii U games are nowadays. That is NOT how I want to play next.

It's crazy to me that you can "breeze through" master with the lower tier machines in the game. Any advice to get to that level?
Yes, check out techniques and practice them. Some of them are MT, MTS, MTRS, and QT... the most insane one is Shift Boost, but try that one when you dominate the others.
@@ZYK736521 Yeah, even the worst vehicles in any game can perform well when used by a skilled player. Personally, I have that happening in Redout, another AGR game, where I can get decent lap times even when racing for the worst team in the game, Buran... who happen to be my favorite. Their craft might be bulky and cumbersome to drive but I love how they look.
As you may know already, this game does have a slight rubberband AI. But when you're behind, all of the machines have a slightly lower performance. I don't know if they boost less, but their machine's performance definitely is lower (or higher if you're ahead) by a certain small percentage.
I liked the part where you got boost power.
Heh F-Zero X is probably the hardest F-Zero outside of GX Story Mode anyhow.

Drifting when you're not at max acceleration. Biggest pain.
Not drifts from too much speed or the slightest touch with something. Anything other than a manual drift is a pain in the ass, and get your ass knocked off the track if you're unlucky enough. One of the reasons the King Cup is such a pain on Expert.
X is hard but honestly.. Baba is your man. Iron Tiger is a great machine if you can't do all those drift boosts and other advanced techniques.
Mt thumb would be itchin' hard for that boost.

Although I guess a couple of sabotages were necessary in the end. I do wonder how Diamond Cup would've turned out if you weren't successful in taking out Black Shadow.
Which non-custom ship would be the best for tackling this challenge? My first thought would be Black Bull since highest top speed but there are obviously other factors that may influence it.

That was a very clever choice of ship parts and gameplay! I loved the use of MT, MTRS, and the Titan-G4 engine, especially! I can't help but ask, but why the Giant Planet?

How is this working? Is it because they're not constantly using their boosts to catch up? Also, why do you slam into the wall at the end of each race?I use an Original Machine myself, the Frost Lancer-R, using an Aqua Goose, Bright Spear, and Scorpion-R, resulting in a C/C/C machine.
I want to beat this game so badly that I'm open to any crazy ideas to get the job done xD

God if only Nintendo would make another F-Zero! It could possibley be the greatest looking game ever. We have seen what this game looks like though emu. just think if they made one from the ground up on Wii U.
