The absolute worst part is the main l4d characters are all actually asymptomatic carriers. It's the canon reason from the comic for why all the random people that save them at the end of each act keep getting infected. So even if you're "immune" you're still a threat.

Also, the thing with the Tank (the big, hulking infected), it's that once he spots Survivors, he'll become so enraged that he'll eventually die of stress, even after killing a Survivor

He can also die of frustration if he doesn't find them. Meaning it has to actively find people to kill, otherwise the mere existence of himself will kill him.

My immediate thought on "you wont survive the l4d2 apocalypse " was how the hell am I going to stop the tank lol. If you attract the attention of any those special infected its pretty much over.

@@artsysabs you can get spitters easily too because stomach acid doesn't dissolve you instantly. and if the acid was strong enough to do that, the spitter would die.

A normal zombie apocalypse I think I could probably survive, but definitely not a Left 4 Dead apocalypse. Those zombies are built different, and there’s so many ways you can catch it, and those zombies are fast af, and hiding isn’t going to do much unless your behind a steel door, and even then you got to come out for food eventually. I would be dead for sure 😭 I’d probably just wait in my house and kamikaze with the stove when the time is right

@@kfj_7191 Problem is, CEDA is not a military institution. They are like WHO (World Health Organization). Yes, they might have had military help but the unfortunate thing is the organization tried to keep things quiet to prevent a mass panic and you can see how well that turned out. By the time the military had mobilized more than half the country had been infected, and you were just as likely to turn by just being in the presence of an infected individual without being bitten or exchanging bodily fluids.
There are even a map that shows a busted "safe room" with notes saying "they just keep coming" so even steel doors are a nope
Just to point out the Walking Dead jab about the Walker using a brick.
Thats because the original director left. He was going to introduce the Walker Variants way back when, thats why you see a couple walkers in the first season act smarter. A couple used bricks, one clambered a fence. But after he left/fired (don't remember) they just dropped that idea. This video was made way before the current Walking Dead seaon obviously.

Almost all of the population was wiped out in the airborne stage so the chance that you were one of the poor souls is so high
funfact, The U.S. military has quite a few plans for a zombie apocalypse, The Think tank, a group of people who make plans for "What if" scenarios use fictional cases as a means to test if someone is worth hiring.

so while zombies could be a possibility, a zombie apocalypse is still low.

Yeah, it always amuses me greatly that people tend to forget a very important aspect of this genre; there's a reason they always gloss over how a modern day military somehow gets overrun by glorified cannon fodder with tanks and APCs, along with helicopter support. Zombie hordes would simply get decimated by machine gun fire, and the stragglers mowed down by custom frontal saw blades on APCs and the like.
The only plausible scenario where a zombie war works is the zombie survival guide setting, and that's a /very/ specific kind of scenario.
CONPLAN 8888 (aka CONOP (Concept of Operations 8888) also known as Counter-Zombie Dominance is a U.S. Department of Defense Strategic Command CONOP document that describes a plan for the nation and its military defending against any zombies. The April 30, 2011 document depicts fictional scenarios of zombie apocalypses for training students in military planning.
I like that he brought up the "Guns 'Murica!" thing. Because I've heard that a LOT from lots of different people. But guns would very likely be only as readily available as they are now, right? Looting houses in certain areas might make that more of a reality. But, how often do you just see guns while walking down the street?

The only thing I can think of where a military is fighting and winning against the infected is Days Gone. It's still a struggle though and do take this "war" seriously without getting all cocky about their confidence to survive.
They set up base on an island with sturdy bridges and gates along the parameter, they got the best guns, the best gear and even burn down everything on the main land so they can see if any hordes wander over miles before they can get there. It's about what you'd realistically expect from a militia during an apocalypse, it's pretty well done.

2:38 - I've always assumed that in widespread, slow moving zombie scenarios, it wasn't the zombies that end up destroying military outposts and bases, but civilians. In a chaotic scenario like that, I'd imagine a lot of civilians, like at least thousands in fairly well populated city, wouldn't be content to let the military handle it, and would likely be stupid or crazy enough to try and raid military installations for weapons to defend themselves, and resources like food and water for good measure. Like, imagine the videos of near riots you see of black Friday sales at department stores, then imagine the people running the store are armed and fighting back, but the people rushing the store are all fighting for their lives. I'm not saying there wouldn't be massive casualties on the civilian raider's side, but overall, I think the sheer numbers would overwhelm just about any military installation eventually, except for the ones that are straight up underground bunkers or something like that.
It's funny to think about if you even lightly prepare or are quick enough surviving 2 months isn't bad at all... when half our country couldn't do 3 weeks 🤣

13:00 This is actually how the witch behaves in the game. Whichever character disturbs her is the one she goes after. Anyone who gets in her path is shoved out of the way. Although there was one time when she was after me but for some reason ran away and despawned. Not sure why that happened.😆
I would recommend to watch Wow Such Gamings Left 4 Dead Survivor and Special Infected profiles to know more about the characters and enemies of the game

Pov you "tweaked" the difficulty of walking dead
Well... I think that as he mention, the surviviors survies only to allow the narrative of the game, I also have the impresion that the game is presents itself as if it were a movie and you were the main characters of it (which have some sort of plot armor). You can see the loading screen always being a movie poster.
Oh please react to Zombie survival labs videos! it's an old RUclips channel from a couple years back that has a whole series on surviving in various locations against the zombie apocalypse like within your own home or in a mall or prison, etc.. they're great videos with lots to discuss. The channel hasn't posted a video in a couple years so it would be fun for some that haven't seen or heard of them before

This weekend I just got Covid for the first time. I was doing so well avoiding it. The first two days were rough and I’m still feeling bad, but I’ve been improving pretty fast. Fever already gone :) Maybe this means I could also hold out in an apocalypse for a bit ;)
Don't ask me if i would be able to survive, ask me if i would be WILLING to survive, honestly, why? The world is fucked, everyone i once knew is most likely dead or dying, i would live a stressed, angry, sad, lonely, wary, tired and every other type of mentally straining life possible, even if i did survive the zombies/infected, i wouldn't survive myself and my all-the-way-to-hell depression that came as a consequence

This guy made 2 why you wouldn’t survive Dead By Daylight videos. There great videos as it goes into some lore and power explanations on the killers and the Entity’s environment.
in a what if situation where infection is not airborne and strictly from bite or wound infection (and ingestion or similar), the biggest reason why any group, be it unarmed, or armed civilians, or armed military may not survive against zombie hordes is due to the sheer number of infected zombies in a single or multiple horde.
The second reason is due to the unknown level of damage to the brain
The third reason is due to limited stamina and resources such as ammunition and/or guns.
The armed group or military group being defeated by zombies is one thing.
The manufacturing factories making guns and/or ammo are the most important aside from food factories/plants and farms.
The problem with zombie apocs is the fact that survival takes too much in effort and our sanity, and being able to maintain and grow farms or use factories is extremely risky with very little rewards because of the lack of security with the presence of zombies.
Unless you live in an extremely secure building and/or gated community with many defense posts to buffer and slow down hordes and are used as sacrifices to protect the main camp of civilization, no one, and I mean no one will survive.
The idea I just stated is basically from Attack on Titan in which there NEEDS to be smaller communities which are on the outskirts of the walled/fenced off community/civilization in order to make sure human-eating monsters don't break in. If they do break in, they only get into a tiny section that's separated from the main human town fence/borders.

"Rabid animals are scared of water" Yep. Hydrophobia is a very very common symptom of rabies, even in humans. You can find videos of a couple people with rabies trying to drink water. Its horrible to watch, I do not recommend it. Considering rabies is also untreatable once symptoms appear, its even scarier.
Hello, congrats, you survived the infected, its been about 4 months now. However did you survive the likley still scattered green flu? Likley found in water sources, plumbing, and wild animals. Did you survive bandits, cults, and "interesting" people? Any newly infected people from the reason stated above?
Yes? Well you still have to worry about all that, along with the lack of communication, safe food/water, pollution (unmanned facilities breaking down), and much more?

Sorry to say its still at least five years before you could relax. If a zombie bites someone while its almost dead at the two month mark, then that infected does the same it would stretch the period of risk out immensely. "Fortunately" by then the population would be so miniscule that it would likely die out within five to ten years, either barely surviving through asymptomatics or because humanity was extinct.

I believe the best way to survive a scene of this magnitude wether undead, infected, or mutated is to concentrate survival on a secluded location such as an island or sorts. Always avoid hospitals, or safe centers. Why you ask because anyone bit or scratch before the outbreak would hed to were, you guest it a hospital. An for safe centers a person that's infected will most likely sneak in or have assistance to enter by a love one or friend. All it takes is one infected in a place with a member not able to stop it because it's a family or friends, this is why 1 can become 2 and can become 4 an so on.
u wont survive with those insane fast zombies and special infected, you would rather stay indoors and bring alot of supplies until this apocalypse over

There are a lot of types of Zombie Apocalypses in fiction you can’t survive in, but there are also types of Apocalypses you’re more lucky in, so it’s 50/50.
Hopefully, we won’t get Sprinting Zombies if there will be an Apocalypse in real life... 😰
You know here comes another chilling thought which I remembered from a creepypasta thought I heard somewhere. But the location ten times more frightening for example in the comics bill was actually in the hospital about to be put under for certain reasons said I can't fully save because I don't know if they would be considered spoilers but point being imagine if you were in the hospital getting ready for the surgery then suddenly the doctors around you turn into zombies or worse you're strapped down in the eye doctors is for Windows like Lasik surgeries or whatever so you can't move and worse would be if it's slow-moving zombie and this is still not the scary zombie scenario I highly recommend you go watch more of this guy's because it gets way worse just wait until you get to the Return of the Living Dead

The only way I can see a way to survive a L4D apocalypse is to actually own a Nuclear Shelter or Bunker. So you'd have enough food and water to last you for a while and it would be well fortified even against tanks and it would also be well quarantined from the infected air and water. Only issue is you would have to be already in the bunker when the infection breaks out that way the inside of the bunker is still not contaminated. Now just gotta save up to buy one lol.

One mistake they made here. The infected in the left 4 dead franchise do eat flesh. You'll see a few instances within the game itself. The first that comes to mind is a female infected eating a severed arm in the mall scene near the beginning, just before they start collecting gasoline for the car.
Source? The only times I have seen infected eating is in fan animations.
@@MrGuidoxo I don't recall it ever being shown in-game or even in promotional materials, outside of the occasional _implication_ that it happens by comments about being bitten (though so little is revealed about the "Green Flu", it could be either a failed attempt to eat the survivors or just an attack method).
Even the graffiti questioning what they eat doesn't help much, since the people most likely to see them eat are the people they _are_ currently eating.
also sometimes Infected can be seeing sitting near a wall minding their businness, so they mgith sleep as well (tho perhaps they aren't actually spleeping)
pretty sure he legit said in the video that they can eat flesh BUT they can also smack the life out of you if they want

Play Project Zomboid, the best open world survival game currently available with a Zombie Apocalypse setting and a heavy dose or realism. Don't even need to go for Apocalypse difficulty, Survival is fine. Everyone who plays for the first time dies within in the first day; and, it's pretty eye-opening just how easy it is to die in a Zombie apocalypse especially for people convinced they'd be amazing at surviving one.

I truly think I would survive a zombie apocalypse and a L4D apocalypse both. I’m not pro but I do have basic skills in firearms and archery. I also love somewhere where there aren’t a lot of people so I don’t think o would worry about too many people. Unless I get caught up while at work. That’d suck. I work at a Walmart which is heavily populated lol if need be I’ll just go to my uncle’s home which is secluded from most people with very few around and who of which is very heavily trained in melee weapons, archery and firearms and has connections in the government since he works for them in a high position. He can’t tell what he exactly does but whatever he does makes literally like $88/hr so a position like that would surely have connections that would be very useful.
