You might recognize Michael Carteleone, drummer of Lynyrd Skynyrd. Also Tommy Shaw of Styx, Jack Blades of Night Ranger, and of course Ted Nugent.

It's a shame the record label paid them millions not to do thrid album because scored too many hits on first 2 albums great line up great songs

    • @neillenet291

They paid them not to make the third album because Nirvana had appeared on the scene and the arrival of grunge. They knew the third album wouldn't do well because of the change in the musical landscape.

@@neillenet291 Probably why they 86'd Andrew Wood as well

@@lancerx1759 I'm a firm believer that it was the powers that be at the labels who were largely responsible for trying to kill off this type of music. Sure, there were a number of factors involved, but in the end, the final headshot that took this stuff out of the spotlight definitely came from the suits behind the labels. It could have gone on and been allowed to coexist with the newer music genres but they actively WANTED it gone. It was in many ways the first shot fired in the culture war that has ramped up so dramatically in the last 10-20 years. By memory-holing an entire genre of what was essentially anthemic, patriotic, positive music and replacing it with the nihilism, deconstruction, and negativity of Grunge and Rap, the entire worldview of successive generations was forever altered. This was subversive and political. It didn't just happen by accident.

Hey guys- they played Renegade live as Tommy Shaw( blond) was a member of Styx when he wrote it and it was a hit for Styx; then they brought it out as Damn Yankees….it’s phenomenal- check out Renegade- it’s on my playlists.😎

Great band, but I really wish I could hear the unreleased album where Damon Johnson from Brother Cane replaced Tommy Shaw, who was busy with Styx. Then again, if they all hated it, then, maybe not. LOL!

The record label probably paid them millions to stop because they were too good, which certainly made it easier for less talented groups to make their way
