Cool mod. My one suggestion would be to attach the base of the jack to the floor of the machine, drill a hole in the front of the machine, and extend the jack adjustment through that hole, so it would be much easier to make adjustments.
It was pretty easy. I basically just took out the bottom section of the list to make it shorter and collapse more. No unfortunately I did t get it all on video
An adjustable bed is a good idea. I built two adjustable beds for mine. One is electric & and the other is manual (vertical crank on right side so that you do not have to lift the honeycomb all the time to raise / lower the bed. Always try to keep my mods looking as professional as possible.
@@MSRWorkshop The manually adjustable one was a kit. The electric one I built from plans the guy who made it shared. I modified it some, as I didn't like some of the way it functioned & was constructed.
I think part of this video should have been devoted to modifying the scissor jack! I have removed a section of the jack as you did, however I can't seem to get the remaining pieces to go back together in a way that sits flat! It's cattywampus now. Ugh. Any suggestions?
One other thing that I had to do was the bottom of the K 40 isn’t rigid and the bed flexes inside so underneath two of the feet I had to shim up slightly so it sits flat when the K 40 bed sags just a little

Yeah I thought about that but the only problem is that the hack handle raises with the bed, it isn’t stationary. So a hole wouldn’t work 😢
thank you nice and simple
do you have a video showing how you modified the sissor lift instead of just saying that you did?

@@MSRWorkshop ya I did it but it it still seems too high for my liking.
Great video! Can I ask where you got the front panel hole plugs/grommets from?
Amazon.
One of the videos has the link but you can also just search for grommet plugs and they come in a multi pack.

Did you get kits for the ajustable beds? I’m looking for alternate solutions ?

If you direct message me your email, I can take some pictures of it that might help you and send them to you
