400,000 dollars. That's insane! You have saved many lives and whenever there's a severe thunderstorm or tornado watch, I go straight to your channel.
Me too ! Such a blessing just to find this channel last yer.
Same here
Same here daddies
I am so happy I found this channel!
@@vikeirishmanwhat does his living situation have to do with helping people out? Are we just talking without thinking again?
Ryan you are our weather mam! You saved us from injury in Flora Illinois Sunday night. We were in our camper and I was watching you and we packed up hauled ass home. We got the dogs and ourselves into our storm shelter and hunkered down for 4 hours! We came out about 12:30am went back out to the campground and a huge tree was down where our camper was. Our house had a tree on it but we were safe in our storm shelter! We thank you for saving our lives!!!!
I feel bad for you stay safe all day every day ❤😊have a good day😊❤
Don't feel bad for us we had limited damage compared to others that lost everything. I was going to stay one more night but the sky looked funky so I turned on Ryan Hall and decided I better get out of there. I have pictures of the campground where we were parked and it looked like a bomb was dropped on the park. Crazy, and that was only an EF2!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
That's so awesome!! 🙌🙌
/SO GLAd you are safe and smart!!!! sending love
we live in downtown Dallas and woke up to our NOAA radio going crazy - my husband's first words were, "Is Ryan live streaming?" gotta love it! I told him, "No, I think even Ryan has to sleep sometimes"
We had this same conversation in Dallas/Rockwall!
Checkout Texas Storm Chasers. David provides good detailed storm coverage for Texas. Just in case Ryan is unavailable.
Same
Downtown only floods in embanked roadways. You typically don’t have to worry about a tornado if you’re in a downtown metroplex.
@@christianbuckett2724 The reason way fewer tornadoes hit downtown metroplexes is because downtown metroplexes take up a very small proportion of area in cities. Basically, there are way more suburbs and rural areas to hit than city centres.
Best weather channel!! Agree?!
Absolutely!
Who doesn't?😂
100%! I love Ryan Hall and Andy Hill!
Without a doubt.
Our NOAA Weather radio almost saved our butt's this morning. We live in a 2 story home in Forney Texas, in the neighborhood directly next to the neighborhood that took a direct hit from a tornado this morning. I got woken up at 5:30 for the storm, looked at the radar, and thanks to all I have learned watching this channel noticed the "dangly bit" beginning to form and coming directly towards us. Decided to stay up instead of go back to bed. Not even a half hour later, we got that warning and it literally got insane here. Most of our town is damaged and without power, our neighborhood seems to have gotten the least amount. Only some roof damage and what looked to be a temper tantrum thrown in our backyard with all our things scattered about. We also had some debris (a labeled box) from the next neighborhood in our yard.
We barely got missed, and if it wasn't for that radio we wouldn't have even known till it got here. We'll worth the 30 bucks I spent 4 years ago.
Good thing you recognized those dangly bits! Thanks to Ryan Hall! 👍
Awesome! Please also remember to change the back up batteries out every so often so if the power goes, you still have the radio alerts! 😊
I'm glad the Weather House came out unscathed. I'm sure millions of people are exhausted including yourself and the chasers. Thank you for all you do.
I'm in DFW - and the Midland Weather Radios woke us at 3am, 4am, and 5am - the last of which reported 80mph winds and 2in hail approaching our area. Due to a garage full of furniture from the households of 5 recently departed relatives, our cars are not protected from the elements. So the 5am warning caused us to jump up and run to our cars and drive them down the street to a parking garage (where we rode out the storm). We emerged to find shredded and downed trees due to the 80mph straight-line winds, and minimal hail. We thank you for your broadcasts when we are awake, and are thankful of the various products that keep us weather aware.
Glad you were safe.
I second the first reply. I can't imagine the thunder echo in a parking garage when it's right over you. I'm hoping for the best with cleanup and future storms. I'm up near Claremore OK; I'm good so far. Stay safe out there.
That’s awesome!! And y’all, put a reminder somewhere to change the batteries every so often, otherwise, if the power goes and the batteries are dead, the radio won’t do you any good! ❤
There was a recent video on how The Weather Channel has dropped far in quality and relavance. MANY of us in the comments mentioned Ryan Hall and the Y'all team as the hiers to the best of what TWC was. 😊💜
Thank You So Much. I am a new subscriber but your stream team saved my family(Me,Wife, and 2 Kids) from the tornado the came through Kentucky. Gave me time to call my wife at work and let her know about it forming right over top of her work area and allowed me to get my kids next door to our neighbors basement way before we was prompted to. So just want to say thank you again and thank your storm chasers out there risking their lives to protect ours.
Blessings to you are your family
This is the very BEST kind of Comment to read on these types of posts!
I am so glad you were saved.
Y’all fam. We’ve been without power for days. We had tornadoes in Arkansas. Usually watching from a safe distance but this one hit home. Scary! Thankful for our lives but there’s much damage. And life’s lost. Thank you for all you do on this channel to inform and help.
Prayers for you and yours and your neighbors as emergency help gets to you. 🙏✝️☮️💟😊
Praying for y'all and everyone who has been affected by the tornadoes.
So sorry for this. Hope everybody is able to take care as much as you can.
Yup...been without power in Rogers since Sunday 2am and it could be as late as 10pm Friday before we get power back
Sorry to hear this sending love and light and gratitude that you’re alive❤❤❤
Barb from NW Arkansas. We finally got hit bad! I think the final decision by the NWS was EF-2 in Rogers and EF-3 in Decatur. It was horrible: trees down everywhere, power non-existent, flooded basements, temperatures very hot, 8 people deceased. I have lived in Rogers, AR for over 30 years and I have never experienced a tornado here - all around Rogers, yes - but not in Rogers. I have a new sympathy and empathy for survivors of tornado devastation.
I am so thankful that you started this channel and your non profit! Your work and expertise is absolutely amazing and so so very important. God Bless everyone involved.
Thank you Ryan and all storm chasers….
Ryan I'm sure I speak for a lot of people but having you for our weatherman gives me comfort because I know you will do everything you possibly can to keep us safe and informed. Thank you for all you and your guys do. 😊❤
Thank you for keeping people informed and saving lives ❤ this tornado season has been devastating.

In one week, we went from below average for tornados to 2nd largest season on record. That is extremely concerning.
It's just the weather.
@@tylerbetthauser7647you are being facetious, right?
@@tylerbetthauser7647 Weather is powered by climate, climate is being directly affected by our pollution. The current glacial cycle is not supposed to hit the center point towards a warm period for another 2,500 years give or take 300 years.
We have crossed 2/3rds of that gap in the last 250 years completely breaking the natural cycles. It is no longer "just the weather".
Look at the heat and humidity it has been horrible. That plays a huge part in the storms. We did not have a winter it was warm. Bad signs
Nibiru is affecting Earth in many ways and it is going to get worse.
21 people have been killed so far , so sad 😭 my prayers go out to each and everyone involved. Also praying 🙏 for those whom have lost everything.😢🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️
@Ryan you helped me inform my Dad and Daughter in Van Buren MO on Sunday to be pre-prepared and I cannot thank you enough ❤️
I'm really thankful that NOAA radios have the pillow shaker add on you can get. My father and my best friend are both deaf, so they obviously can't hear those loud obnoxious alerts. So it's really cool that there is that feature.
I bought my weather radio from ya'll last year, and I'm glad I did! It alerted me about the storm this morning in DFW area- when I heard 80 mph winds, I was up and getting in the interior closet. 120 mph gusts per Omega radar near here. My heart goes out to those who experience more traumatic storms!
Appreciate the whole Y'all Team! 🎉
Me and my mom were driving to the vet for a dog and listening to the radio and the alert started playing and it scared me so bad but it wasn't where we were it was in lake City but when we were driving if all of a sudden starts getting SUPER dark and we kept getting alert after alert. I'm thankful we are ok. I hope everyone stays safe and be careful. May y'all stay blessed and safe ❤️❤️
Thank the Lord y'all are ok
@@RepentfollowJesus truly do thank the Lord. That we are safe. We had 3 dogs with us. Thankfully we are in collage station so we are safe and alright got heavy rain and some thunder but right know it's clear sunny skies! ❤️
Hope all is well with you and your fur babies. God bless all!
I live in rural Ontario, so less coverage. I was on the road in the work van with 900 lbs of metal. I drove through what I was just some heavy rain, but when I got out the sky was green and it looked like there was some rotation. Good times
My cell phone never went off at all yesterday. However, our NOAA radio was going off like crazy for several hours.
You have probably saved countless lives. Thank you doesn't even cover it. God bless you Ryan and the Y'All Squad!! 🙏❤️
I'm in central Denton and the storm that came through at 5am was the strongest and scariest
I've experienced in my 61 yrs.
I was in Grand Prairie. Semi truck with an Empty trailer heading to grapevine. I was a reluctant storm chaser
I can't imagine going through that although I know it could happen to me, too. That must've been terrifying! Glad you're okay. I'm in Tennessee and my town was spared ... this time. Having Ryan helps me to be prepared and calm.
@@1masut Now that's scary! Glad you're ok.
I bet, n im pretty sure youre referring to this morning, i live a couple hours south and while we didnt get hit we did get some hellacious wind for hours. I thought damn if its that bad with no storm, imagine what the storm was like! Was like a severe storm without the storm.
@@happyinparis He really does try to stay calm for us, but I know when he gasps and mutters "Oh my.." then I know it's bad news. He shouldn't play poker LOL Keep your eyes pealed in Tenn, looks like this season is gonna be a doozy.
We got nailed this morning in north Texas. 95mph winds at 6am “The Colony, TX”
Live in North Dallas/Denton area. Treses down everywhere and been out of power since around 5am. Absolutely crazy.
Also me and my 70 year old parents were out clearing roads with chainsaws all morning. The amount of people not prepared for things or incapable of doing anything is scary. A chainsaw is less than you'd spend on Starbucks in a month and a generator less than a few. Go get one for these times please.
I love my Midland Weather Radio!!! I got it from you, Ryan. ❤ And thanks for streaming while storms were affecting the St. Louis area on 5/26. I was so happy to hear your calm voice while my cat and I sheltered in the basement.
I always listen to your stream anyway, but it meant even more when the inclement weather was coming my way.
WOW $400,00 America you are awesome! We are a great people who help our countrymen. Thank you America and Ya'll Squad who do the heavy lifting.
I am 63, I don't ever remember having so many tornados across the US. I'm from Louisville KY, and live in Bardstown ky, my kids think I'm crazy when the word tornado is in the forecast. They keep thinking because they have never been in one that they can't happen here. I was 14 during the April 3 1974 so yes I trama from that they also laugh because I took your advice and I have a full size head and face motorcycle helmet...Sorry for the rant but I don't feel like I have a safe place in my house.🙏 No more tornados for anyone..God bless you Ryan for all you do.💓🌸
hugs to you! NOTHING wrong with being prepared, love.
So glad you talked about and offered the tornado/flood etc. warning system radio. I had mentioned on someone's site about a warning system but someone said they were not reliable (downloads on cell phones). I don't have a cell phone, and my landline goes out when the electric is out, because it's plugged into my computer. These radios undoubtedly work on batteries, and that is so good. When cell phones don't work radios of all kinds that work on batteries are great, to keep up with what is going on out there. I used my battery operated radio the night Hurricane Irma came through. Our electric was off. I had no cell phone, and I got all the communication about what was going on in the area.
During a power outage, would the landline work if it was plugged into the wall socket instead of the computer?
@@charlieann456 A lot of homes don't even have phone jacks built in, anymore. My apartment has a couple, but they've been painted over so many times that they will never work again! Best way to keep the computer going during a power outage is a Computer Uninterruptible Power Supply Unit (UPS). Amazon and Best Buy have them. They run from about $50 up. I don't know if Ryan has them in his shop.

@@charlieann456 No, because when the electric is out, it's out for everything. It doesn't have a battery backup, and the telephone line runs through the computer. Even if I plugged the phone directly into the phone jack and plugged the electric plug into the wall socket, there still is no electric to run the phone. I don't know if they make phones that run off batteries, or if that would make a difference. Spectrum runs the whole show here. I should get a cell phone for emergencies as everyone keeps telling me, and they would be right. There is one that I am looking at called Punkt, but I've not done a deep dive with it yet. I rely on my portable radios for weather announcements. Thanks.
@@Katmai_Bear_480 I never heard of that. I will check it out. I wonder how it works. Maybe it jumps to some other radio frequency.
I woke up to an alert of 80mph winds @ 5:30 this morning in DFW literally saying get to a shelter or die. That was NOT my preferred way to wake up.
I bet it was scary. Glad you are ok.
Same here! My mom actually tried to go to work in that! She didn’t get far before she had to start dodging falling trees
OMG! Thats absolutely terrifying! Im glad your okay though! 😓😓🙏🏾🙏🏾
My Husband works at DFW and was there during those crazy winds. He showed me some pictures of some of the damage. Including a plane that was pushed into the side of the building, crushing the nose in.
Thanks for all you do. With this little break in the action, rest up and fuel up, please.
Where I live the weather radio is the only way we’ll get warnings if the internet is down. We have no tornado alarms that reach us. It’s the price we pay for our beautiful homestead.
I recommend them 100% we have the WR400 and couldn’t be happier.
Ryan, much thanks to you and all the people you work with, along with the storm chasers for doing such a great job making people aware and helping to save lives.
Thank you for your great coverage of the storms over the past two months
Woke up at 5:45AM in Frisco Texas north of Dallas and it went from 0 to 100 real quick. My car got screwed by the hail, trees fell over from the 70+ mph winds, and there was a literal lightning show.
I watched you all the time, but on the 22nd, you weren't on and Temple, TX (my town) was hit. The EF-2 hit my neighborhood and the neighborhood across the street. We were very lucky and only had fence damage. But we were without power until Saturday and we had a heat index of 110. I am so grateful for my town pulling together and for each and every lineman that worked around the clock in pouring rain and oppressive heat. They are heros
I also wanted to say, my son and I repeated (during the worst of the storm) "don't be scared, we are prepared."
I'm in Conroe, Texas. We just got wounded. Power went out several times. Wind sand blasted us, and water was pouring into our front door because of the high wind and heavy rain. Got very tense here.
So sorry to hear it I am in Porter we are it is also pouring down and high winds God Bless

Thank you, Ryan, and the entire Y'all squad for doing what you do. Given the trajectory of climate change and the increased severity and frequency of extreme weather events in America's future, it looks like you will be able to do this for as long as you want.
