- Bernard Wrigley plays the ever-complaining Bob, who grumbles about the liver, bacon, Jean's underwear, and tries to get a cup of tea.

Victoria Wood was not only a brilliant writer she was generous giving some of the best lines to the others in her ensemble. Bernard delivered them on point!
Love Bernard Wrigley from Radio Piccadilly (James Stannage,) and ever onwards. Wonderful man.
Yes, she knew that the best ensemble casts always share out the laughs. Every cast member in everything she ever did was spot-on and Bernard was one of the very best there was in Dinnerladies.
I love every second of this programme, but the large tea/2 small teas/cup of hot water/sucking a teabag sketch is the greatest thing ever filmed.

Sorry to disagree, but one simple sentence in one episode, 3 words, the best line in any sitcom, ever!! "Where's my Clint!!"
I agree, a brilliant piece of writing. The cup of tea sketch is sooo clever and delivered so deadpan, I love it.
@@annettewalter2273 best scene in a comedy show of all time is when dell boy falls thought the bar in my opinion
"I'll tell you what shall we forget the bacon have you got any anti depressants?" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Love this guy! Bernard is absolute star in this programme! ⭐️ love his quips and his delivery is spot on ❤️💕
Did you see him in Phoenix Nights? Hilarious.
This has one of the best lines on tv just “ give us a teabag I’ll suck it on the way over”
The tea scene may be my favourite bit in this comedy show. It's absolutely wonderful
Second only to Maxine Peake’s delivery of “oven mitts” for me 😂
Mine too
"What are you on a two minute delay!..."
What an amazing show! Victoria Wood you were a genius I miss you every day!
What are you on a two minute delay? 😂😂😂 Always cracks me up 🤣
Writing = excellent, his delivery BRILLIANT 😂😂
I must watch this all over again, it is so brilliantly written.
Wonderful, superb writing, acting and so good to watch over and over again.Thank you Victoria and the dinnerladies.
He really is a very funny man, I loved his little bits in dinnerladies, he also did great things in Phoenix Nights lol
Bob trying to get a cup of tea in between the ladies gossiping is the funniest piece in the whole of the series. I don’t even like tea but this makes me laugh everytime I see it.
Absolutely brilliant sketch Bob especially
Brilliant stuff, how to cheer yourself up in less than 5 mins.
Victoria could have written a whole episode for Bernard.. no one would complain. Comedy genius.
Bernard Wrigley is really funny..he was also the chap who brought all the games and fruit machines to the Phoenix Club ..and he was Lisas first husband in Emmerdale
euronick61 Just seen this - don't forget he was also the hotel manager in the salesman episode of Coogan's Run, orchestrated the bike rally in The Parole Officer and narrated the ancient customs and traditions feature on Mark & Lards afternoon show on Radio 1 . . .
Missed the best Bob bit! "I heard your husband turned up last night while you were kissing Tony."
Who else knows? "Anyone else't were waiting for bacon!"
Wonderful dialogue script!
Dolly gets the best lines always 😂 “It’s a complicated gusset when you won’t wear specs!”
The Pride of Prestwich, gone too soon. RIP Victoria, Queen of Comedy.
Copied and pasted many times but still true.

RIP Victoria Wood
When the whistle blows
When 50 quid were a lotta money
It still is to some of us. I'm so broke I wouldn't even bet on a nun not having sex!
Nice 😂😂😂
Can anyone tell me what Bob's response is after Bren says the word "vegan?"
“Bolshy”
I remember it well! It's "Bolshie" - the dictionary defines it as "deliberately unco-operative".
I never knew Bobby Ball was in this.
That is Bernard Wrigley not Bobby Ball
