Hello buddy, I have just installed the power supply for my navigation system as described in your video. Thank you very much for your effort. Greetings from good old Germany Marcus
Another great video very clear information as always. I wish it was that easy fitting one to my 1050 Tiger as the on board connection was in amongst the wiring under the fairing. Just time and a little care and it was done.
Great video! Love how you document the steps in detail, not assuming one knows everything in regards to maintenance. QUESTION: I've assembled all the connectors, and now am looking into running the wires up to the "dashboard", but have a lot of trouble running them through the plastic wire channel under the tank, while it's propped up. You mentioned not having to remove it to complete the job. What's your trick?
This is what I came up with as well. as the 12 volt in the head light is always on. The only difference, is I am going to put in a relay pull power from the sae plug for the trickle charger under the left cover, then run it up to the headlight with an sae plug with usb on the end to power my cb radio and sr10 sena while my phone is powered by the stock usb under the seat.
Great video, thanks, just subscribed. I notice you have a screen on the bike, is it any good and if so what make please, I have the original small Triumph screen but not very effective at 65 mph plus due to its small size . Also where did you get the wiring plugs from ?
Mine is the Triumph screen. They do make a taller 'touring' screen, but many people have reported buffeting from that. I have a touring screen I sometimes put on my Harley-Davidson Dyna and that causes buffeting, so I'm not keen to fit a taller screen on the Scrambler. Essentially, it's a naked bike and I'm happy to live with that after years of touring on a BMW GS1200 and a H-D ElectraGlide.
Great explanations thank you 👍🏻 I agree Triumph should sponsor you 🤩 Any reason for a dedicated GPS instead of a phone from where you can choose your music, messages and wide choice of GPS ?
I have several boxes of different connectors in my workshop and just used what I had. I suggest you look on the Internet for suitable connectors. A Google search should bring up suitable options.
Hi great video please can you tell me where I can get one of those mounting ball for Sat Nav I've got a Tom Tom 550 and got all the other bits but no ball like that and I'm getting my Triumph scrambler next week and it's the same mode.l And please can you tell me which ball is the best suited for the Triumph scrambler xe just like the one in your video...cheers J
@@SongsFromTheSaddle Hi thank you for getting back to me yes I know but there's different sizes what size and type have you got on there please..cheers J
I ran a cable from that USB up to the handlebars, but it’s pinched by the cover which I don’t like but I can’t understand why triumph would put a connection inside such a shallow compartment. Are we supposed to remove the seat, open the compartment, plug is a device, and sit there with the ignition on to charge a phone while the battery is draining? Nothing fits in that tiny place, how did they expect us to use it? They should have located a USB with the same cover as the handle bar lock up where the auxiliary connection is.

I just pushed it through
Great video, you should be sponsored by Triumph. Inspiration and a guidance! Just wonder, could it charge a phone and a GPS simultaneously?
Yes it will charge both at the same time. Glad you found the video useful.
Absolutely awesome video, thanks for sharing.

Do you think I could hook my Fog lights into this USB wire as well?

I just prefer using a dedicated GPS.
Hi
Do you have a link to the plugs/ connectors you used and pins please.
Great video. Thank you

Thanks
This is so helpful thank you! Do you know the name of the connectors both the ones you used under the seat and the one at the handle bars?
They are standard auto electrical connectors. You can get them in most motor factor stores or off Ebay

@@joedermody237 I've made a quick video to explain the setup. It will be on my channel on Wednesday. I thought that was the easiest was to show you.
Cheers 👍😎

I agree. It's totally useless.
Great video, too bad you even had to make it, these bikes should already come standard with one switched power lead like so many others do...
Link for bolt nav connector ?
