Your ground bologna reminded me of the Armour Potted Meat my Mom mixed with Miracle Whip and made sandwich spread !! Sweet memory… my Mom is 97years old … in dementia and I just phoned her in NC. I am from a family of 15 and am the last living child ! God bless you and your family .. your videos bring back so many memories!!🙌🏻🙌🏻❤️
Amy, thank you for doing these money saving videos. I’m pregnant with my 6th blessing and am a homeschooling mama and I am trying to glorify God by making wise money decisions and making the load lighter on my husband for providing for us. These are great ideas and reminders to be good stewards of what God has given us!
Hi Amy, if you have an instsnt pot, or some other brand of electic pressure cooker, try boiling your eggs in that. I found some egg racks for the pressure cooker on Amazon, that stack on top of each other. To cook the eggs, place them in the rings on the rack, AFTER adding 1 to 1/2 cups of water. Set the cooker for 6 minutes cooking time. When cooking time is complete, do a quick relase, and then wait 6 minutes. When that 6 minutes is over, you'll add the eggs to an ice water bath for 6 minutes. The eggs are then ready to peel and the shell comes off with NO problem! I discovered this method about 3 years ago, and so very glad I did. By the way, it doesnt matter how many eggs you add, the cook time is the same.
Miss Amy, thank you so much for showing us these money saving videos. So many wonderful ideas and they don't take anytime to make. More filling than going through a drive thru for sure! Thanks lady from Kentucky!
I appreciate your comments. Thank you for the boost of encouragement 😁
I think the fresher the eggs the harder they peel.
Ty Amy for encouraging me to encourage others. Sometimes just a smile can lift someone's spirit. I pray every day that God will direct my steps and will put people in my path that I can bless in some way that they might see Jesus thru me. We all need it. This is such a hard time in our nation. We all need to pray and lift each other up regardless of how we feel. Love the Maryons.
I put salt in the boiling water then when the eggs are done I put the eggs right into cold water and cool them fast.
Good morning Amy. My sourdough bread turned out great, I have made it several times and we love it. The bagels however, I am not happy with. This is the second recipe I have tried. Not sure if it's the recipes, if I am doing something wrong or if they are supposed to be more dense than regular bagels but they are not my favorite. I may try again, not sure. It's always good to try new things, you never know if you will like it or not! I think my boys and are are going thrift shopping today and stopping to get my oldest son fitted for a tux. Senior prom for him, coming up in May. Love having this time with my family. You are a blessing to me friend❤. I hope you have a wonderful day, I will see you tomorrow!! 🙏😎❤
Hi Amy , I watched a video from Living that said put a lemon slice in with the eggs and it’s suppose to help them peel easy . It said the acid in the lemon is what helps the eggs to peel easy . The slice of lemon was about a quarter inch thick . What works for me is rinsing my eggs then add water to cover the eggs then I add a lot of ice and Let them sit for 10 to 15 minutes .
Hi Amy, I’ve found if you use eggs that you purchase at least a week before boiling them, they peel so much easier. I add my eggs to the cool water, turn on the burner and when they come to a boil, take off of the heat, add a lid. Let sit for 15 minutes. Drain, cool. It’s that easy. Hope this helps.
My mom used to make the ground bologna and added ground up hard boiled eggs.
Fingerling potatoes with olive oil and salt and pepper roasted in oven is so good, they are creamy and delicious.
Did you use fresh eggs? If so that is why they do not peel well. You need to use eggs that are several weeks old and they will peel well every time.
Hey Amy, put baking soda in your water when you boil your eggs. Makes is so easy to Peel them.
Amy in Australia we also add curry powder to our egg salad. I know you would love it
Don't you taste your food to check seasonings? Maybe I miss it
Always ❤️ i constantly say ..taste your food if it needs more.add it
I always add boiled eggs to my chicken salad, it's very hardy
I used the can chicken to make chicken soup with using boullion. A Rachel Ray recipe. 30 minute recipes
How long do you think the sandwich spread/salads will last in refrigerator?
I wish I was taught to cook homemade food. My mom was a teacher and often times had to stay in school until 4:30 so by the time it was supper, we needed something that cooked fast. She never prepared anything ahead of time.
I was self taught too 😁 took me many years to do what i do now
My father owned a country grocery store and I used to get little red rag bologna and hoop cheese…..best stuff in the 70’s
I have never seen the hoop cheese but my mom would always have ring bologna
Cheesy Broccoli soup just went on my meal plan for the weekend 😊 I make meat spread often with leftover ham, seems very similar to your baloney spread, and you're right, so tastey and a different way to use it up.
Yes so good ..the soup is delicious
One for now one for later, the same when you go to the grocery store one for now one for later examples can of tuna or jar of pickles etc before you know it you have a fairly stocked lader same for your freezer a package of chicken for now one for later also if it in the freezer section of your grocery store you can freeze it at home if you find a deal on say fresh green beans or broccoli 🥦🥕 you can freeze and don't even have to par boil it
Thanks for another great video🩵 Never tried ground bolonga.. sounds good though. If the Amish are selling it, it’s got to be delicious 😂
Does anyone know what would be bologne in the uk? Tia
What is a garlic puck?
I made them..minced a bunch of garlic with olive oil and froze them
All the food looks so yummy. Thanks for sharing
What other platforms are you now on? I see you are taking a lot of pictures now.
Hi Amy I always enjoy you videos I don't always comment but I do watch and give a thumbs up thanks for sharing and have a blessed evening 😊❤
I appreciate you very much. Thank you for sharing this ☺️
Food looks Amazing my Mom still makes homemade bologna salad aka sandwich spread. Your little shelf on the counter is so adorable the one by the refrigerator where did you get it from would love to have one for my kitchen . 💜
Everything looked delicious. Great Video Amy
Great video! Everything looked delicious! The only thing I don’t make is ground bologna. I have not seen some of the ingredients, but I would if I found the ingredients! Ty for sharing!
You're right. It's definitely the eggs. It's not like it used to be when I was young, and they peeled easily. I often wonder if the birds are getting enough vitamins and minerals.
The only way I have success is to cool them just enough to be able to handle them but peel them warm. But then I have to let them cool all the way to get the centers out for deviled eggs. It's just weird.
That has worked better for me too
@@amymaryon I always enjoy the time spent watching your videos. Give sweet Maxine a cuddle for me.
Don’t like yogurt either. Tastes watery to me
My Walmart just started selling ring bologna and I keep looking at it, wondering what to do w it. Now I know! I’m going to buy one next time I’m in there. Thanks Amy
Yummy..it is a favorite for sure
Love ur videos so peaceful and mindful the verse at the end
I'm glad you are here 😊 you have been for a while 💕
The food looked delicious. Have you ever made baked potato salad? It's pretty good. Have a great day. 💙🌞🌴
I have had it .I would like it but not everyone else..they are hooked on grandma Sandy's salad 😁
I absolutely love ground bologna sandwiches. The ground bologna ( without the Mayo and relish) freezes wonderfully. We grind a lot of it and freeze it in containers until summer when we use it more.
Yes we did that before too thanks for reminding
Hi Amy can you all go back to St Armonds key so we can see the latest on it since the damage last year just to see an update
There isn't any damage that we noticed ..it didn't get hit that hard from what i saw
When I make soups that have noodles in them and I want to freeze it, I boil my noodles separately and bag individual servings and freeze then when I want soup I take one container of soup plus one serving of noodles and put in a bowl and microwave, that way my noodles aren’t mushy
@jeanjohnson2402 great tip!
@@jeanjohnson2402 ok thanks will do
Thank you Amy!!! So much more helpful than you know!! Have a blessed day! See you tomorrow 😊❤. Love from VA
Thank you ! See you tomorrow
What part in Va? I'm in Waynesboro.
😍😍😍
I think it is the water here in FL that makes peeling hard boiled eggs go awry.
Hi Amy I'm from Michigan and I grew up eating bologna and ham salad! We put mayo onion and pickles, love it so much. Those soups looked great! Have a great day today
Yummy!! It is so good
We used to make bologna salad, but called it mock ham salad for some reason!
So helpful, Amy! Thank you.
