    I am watching your video and my 4 year old is watching with me and you started your encouragement and my daughter finished it. I know that scripture means so much to me as i can/ know how use it daily and apply it to my life. But it really is encouraging me as i see my 4 year old starting to remember it! 🙌❣️ So thank you for your daily encouragement!

    Everything that I have read and studied say that most plants need the equivalent of one inch of rain for per week and if you water them every day their Roots don't get as deep and a strong so it's best to water them once a week after 7:00 p.m. after the heat of the day so that it doesn't damage the leaves

  • @lizg5574
    @lizg5574 17 дней назад +4

    Two suggestions for you to consider.
    First: see about getting some white pebbles to put on the top of the pots where you have planted your vegetables. White reflects some of the heat and the stone prevents as much evaporation, meaning the plants benefit from the water. They also trap a small amount of dew (if there is any), which is good for the plants. It's better to look for pebbles/stones in a store than bringing them from the beach, as you don't know what bacteria would be introduced to a food crop through watering over them - in a store they are more likely to have been washed to remove harmful agents. NEVER water the plants in the heat of the day - far better to water twice, first thing and just as the sun goes down. Avoid sprinkling the leaves as the suns rays will burn through the droplets, discolour the leaves and slow efficient photosynthesis of necessary nutrients.
    Secondly; along the same track - get Maxine a white cover for her bed. The dark colour attracts heat and can burn her, so she won't want to go on it if it's like lying on the grill! The white surface will remain cooler and being off the ground, air movement under it will be a little cooler, too. Do look at getting some dog-safe sun screen for her tummy and ears, too. We use it here in New Zealand for our little dog and cats, as skin cancer in animals is a big threat and not pleasant to deal with.

    Good morning , you can freeze egg roll wrappers. just put a piece of waxed paper then the wrap, then waxed paper etc./ then put them in an air tight container/or zip lock (make sure sealed really well to prevent freezer burn or drying out... a Little bit of a pain, it's worth it though if your doing a large amount , i've done it and they have lasted me 5 to 6 months....

    Hi Amy, just FYI, tomato plants AND cucumber plants are very heavy feeders so be sure to add some aged manure and rich organic compost -homemade is way better. Easy to do too for future plants, not these babies. Best soil for your vege garden. My mum has a worm farm in a big black pot and uses that to feed. She just puts her food scraps in and the worms turn it into the best compost ever. She has about 3 that are rotated as she fills one up and the worms do there thing, she adds scraps to the others.. Works perfectly. ALSO heat stress can shock plants a lot, I aid its recovery by adding a little calcium to its soil away from stem and water in.. make sure to water your pots morning and night during your hot period.. You don't want your pot to completely dry out and soil start to heat up. God bless Amy. Love you and family.. Followed for years.. You and Greg are doing such an incredible job and your children too.. 🥰 ✝👼

    Morning sun is the best for your planter garden. Watering morning and evening will work best. Peppers take much longer to sprout but will do so, they should do good in your black pots that did have tomatoes. The tomatoes should now grow well. Taking off the leaves at the bottom will also do wonders. You don’t want them touching the dirt. I would consider planting a marigolds flower in each tomato pot as they will keep aphids and other bugs away. Their pungent smell is a dislike to bugs. Good luck in your growing vegetables. 😊🙏🏼

They fertilize their plants weekly. That's something new to me, but I'm going to try it this summer. I learned from her channel to use Biotone when I first plant to give the plants a better chance to survive. May be worth checking their videos out. They have a great archive of subjects. I saw a video on Facebook where the lady took her strawberry caps that she cut off of her strawberries. Put them in a pot, covered them with water and put maybe a cup of sugar in on top of it brought it to a boil. Then she let it steep for a while till it kind of thickened up, once thickened she strained it through a mesh strainer and put the sauce in a quart jar and she said now you've got your strawberry sauce for pancakes or ice cream or whatever and you didn't waste any part of the strawberry. I thought that was pretty neat myself. I don't use as many as you do, but for somebody who uses as many strawberries as you do at one time, you could probably make a couple of quarts of strawberry syrup.

    It really upset me when I see people eating the grape out of the bags, sticky their dirty hands in the bags.

      Every fruit is washed...you don't want rotten grapes so you check them as you do other fruits and veggies because they do put bad ones out . I don't believe in eating them because they would be technically stealing them ..I am sorry it upsets you... You are probably a store owner who sees the cost in them and that is understandable.

      @@amymaryon no I do not own a store, it’s irritating when people stand there and eat the grapes out of each of the bags because we’re having to pay for what they are eating. Yes I wash all my fruits and veggies. I hope you do not think I was insinuating you were eating grapes I know you were just touching to see if they were ripe
