I'm a PRS man , but I do own 2 Godins. I would own a Godin over a fender that's made in the last 20 years any day! The price, the quality control, the sound, the feel is great. I'll never give up my PRSs, I feel they're the best mass production guitar made , but hands down before I bought a les paul or a stratocaster, I'd buy Godin.
Would you say PRS's and Godins are similar in quality? Or do you have any likes and dislikes on the two brands that are worth mentioning? I own a 2009 Godin Summit which i love very much, but i have never actually played a PRS.
@@M139NG Prs is a whole different animal. I own the Silver sky , I own the tremonti, and the S2 satin. Paul Reed Smith has discovered something in his necks , that they just seem to play effortlessly. Here's what I can tell you , I order a lot of guitars through the internet, Fenders, Gibson are hit or miss with it Quality control. But I've never got a Bad Prs or Godin. I don't think Godin plays as well as Prs, But I do trust the people sending them out , checked for any imperfections.
@@Theylieohio Thank you, that's good info. I definitively give one a try when i get the chance. I'm currently "half-looking" for another guitar in a longer scale length and i don't want to waste time with something i will just end up selling. Cheers!
@@Theylieohio I have a PRS SE Custom 24 (Indonesian) and it plays perfectly, and sounds great. I also have an Ibanez RGA42FM which is about the same price (700 to 850 CAD), and its just a disaster of bad quality. The Ibanez actually sounds better, but it’s basically a throwaway guitar and the PRS is good enough for Alain Ibrahim, who’s one of the best guitar players on the planet.
Been a fan of him since his days in Pulse Ultra. I still listen to it all the time. Dude is very underrated. I really dig that Guitar as well!!!
