Yummy! 🥫 My mom used to make this, she's in her '80s now, and she would always cut a thick slice and put a few spoonfuls of her thawed out fresh frozen strawberries or sliced peaches in their own juice and drizzle it over top of it with whipped cream.. ❤️
Omg. I can taste this cake. My favorite is the almond flavoring. I just bought a new KitchenAid mixer and this may be the first cake I’ll make with it. Your mixer was awesome! Thanks for the recipe!

I love pound cake. I haven't made it in years. Use to take it to family reunions for years. Oh have a little good news. My youngest brother has adopted his first foster son. He has to wait a few months for the other boy. They both are autistic. But my brother has patience like no one else has. I'm so happy for him. I also have finally got my car into the shop. I have a recipe that's very similar to this as well. It's delish! I love to bake and am a gadget girl. I always had a problem pouring flour , sugar, etc into my mixer while it was running and not getting a significant amount on the counter. I found these bowls and measuring cups called Pourfect bowls that have a nice spout that fits right over the edge of your Kitchenaid bowl so you don't waste a thing. I love mine. Got mine several yrs ago from a catalog, but I bet Amazon has them, in case anyone else has the same problem I did.

A long time ago I did this pound cake 1pound butter but 12 eggs got this out a magazine a black lady said it was her grandmother recipe but she add lemon zest 2tlb no juice .

After being inspired by all your great videos I've made an Italian pot roast, a tomato pie, a blooming onion and a really delicious lemons & oranges creme cake (!!!) amongst other endeavors! With your help and encouragement I am no longer intimidated by the kitchen and am comfortable in trying just about anything that looks delicious. I find that I learn a new thing or two each time I try a new recipe. Nothing beats experience, right?
