Okay so I discovered for some non of these will work. The problem is 1 of 2 issues. The Internet service provider blocking updating. Affects other devices too such as mobile or laptop os updates. Other issue is the router itself. 2 possible fixes. Use a different provider or hard reset your router

I tried restoring my licenses and it timed out now all my games have a lock next to them but are still playable playstation has been slow and every once in a while it will act as if I don't have psn when I do, and I'll talk to those I game with and they are having the same issue, I cand download ps4 games but ps5 version gets stuck on calculating😢
My overwatch wouldn’t load so I had to rebuild the database, but now it just says it is installed but it won’t let me play it, and it does not even show up on my storage either. What do I do?
ESO isn't even downloading at this point. I'm close to giving up on this terrible console.
Helped a lot and even reduced the original time by 12 hours (currently a 32 hour update and was 44 before).
I have a game (after us) that was installed and i tried to play and it didnt work so i uninstalled and tried to reinstall and it wont let me delete it and if i try to update it it just sits on the intro screen of the game calculating and i have previously tried all of these.

What WiFi do you use??? My sucks it takes 40 mins for a 6gb game
Mine takes 1hour and 30mins per every gb, it takes weeks to download cod for me

I been having a similar issue I csn download ps4 games no problem but ps5 games just give me calculating your last tip helped me out I was about to just give up on it
I've done it all, including the nuke option factory reset. It will oce in awhile download but that's after multiple hours of download then cancel/delete.
changing DNS and MTU is what worked for me thanks!!
@YourSixStudios - My PS5 regularly has an error message pop up that says "You are Restricted From Using Communication Features." This only happens when playing Destiny 2. There is a fix by going into the menus and temporarily disabling console restrictions which DOES work. But why can't I permanently disable this? There are no kids in my house and I also did make sure there are no restrictions anywhere and there is only one account. I also have never had two controllers hooked up at the same time.
It has grown so tiresome and annoying that I probably will purchase the next Destiny expansion on Xbox Series X instead which is SUPER annoying.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem: my update for a game is supposed to be 1.6 GB but for me it’s showing 68GB. And Ik fs it is not 68GB
With a lot of games, it intends to reinstall the ENTIRE game with an update. So that 1.6 update is added on to the total of the all data required.
I just found out that the PS5 won’t reinstall or update is because of the internet connection issue. Thanks for the help!

So the problem for me is. I have a few games I want to download from the ps plus catalogue but when I start the download it just keeps saying calculating. BUT. If a game is under 20 gb. It downloads just fine. HELP

@@p0l4r_s0l4r I solved it by mistake by logging in to another user and it just started downloading by itself
None of these worked I had to delete the download and start again

Check network+pause and resume constantly
Remove any usb devices and or disc inside the ps5. Delete the download and start ps5 in safe mode to rebuild database then try the options stated in the video

I did every single thing this vid said. Worked 2nd time I had to delete and restart. Neither worked individually
00:30 my issue is here i pressed cancel and delete for hogwarts. Now I can’t get the update to come back, I can’t open Hogwarts because the game thinks it’s still installing, and I can’t delete Hogwarts because I am getting a notification that says “can’t delete”. Does anyone have a fix for this?
press options on the game and press check for updates, or just completely reinstall the game
@@ja1veer969 weird thing is my check for updates was there yesterday morning/ sunday night when this happened. Now that option is completely gone. Also I can’t reinstall the game because im getting a “Can’t Delete” prompt. The system thinks the game is still installing when it is not. Its like im stuck in purgatory

@nattylight9494 I was able to get it, I went to the library and clicked update then went to the store and Uninstalled it, I got lucky with it working

1:18 Did you seriously just suggest trying to delete and reinstalling the game before checking network connection/manually reconnecting network connection? 😂 Dude I’m just looking for a certain reason why this is. I get that you’ve gotta go through the basic troubleshooting first, but come on. 😂 This is a death trap for some people 😂 some network companies in rural areas are quite a crappy ride honestly compared to services like spectrum.
This is why I’m happy I didn’t just delete first, but I’ll keep hearing you out. There’s gotta be a different reason, I’ve never had something like this happen

OK so I tried just about everything and anything still didn’t work. I watched about three different videos and nothing helped so what I did is simply just turned off my PlayStation completely and turned it back on and now it’s working.
