  • Hello and welcome back to this wonderfully wild French Alps adventure!
    This next part of the adventure goes back up the cable car 3842m to Aiguille Du Midi but this time I will be going in the morning on a hunch that I will see a beautiful cloud inversion.. and that is what happened. I hope you enjoy the footage from this trip.

      @@wildandfreevictoria , I was born an spent my whole little life in France, so I didn't travel so much and can't share many stories, but last summer I took a one month road trip in France and was so happy to discover all those wonderful places and landscapes... It's a melting pot of so many ambiences and vibes, I love this country and the natural marvels we can encounter in here.
      If you need a place to stay, near the Pyrenees, don't hesitate to contact me, it will be a pleasure to be your host and "humble" guide.
      Have a nice journey, Victoria.
      I'm very happy to follow your adventures.

    I have so many happy memories of going down that arete at time stamp 7:02. And the images of the Cosmiques Arete were pin-sharp.
    I would have loved to ride a Parapont back down to the valley, when I was out there, but funds were limited to the essentials of baguettes and wine.🤣🤣
    I enjoyed your selection of soundtrack to this episode as well.

      I bet it took you on a walk down memory lane, some very epic adventures for sure! Thank you, yes I am so impressed with the clarity of image on the XH2, it has been fantastic, i’m super happy with it!
      Haha yeah they are some brave people, i would love to do it from the top one day, it would be incredible!
      And thank you, a lot of thought goes into the music so I am glad you enjoyed it! Thanks again! 🙃

      @@wildandfreevictoria On a separate camera related tangent, I've just bought a new Man Toy that may or may not interest you. After killing three drones and having to wait around three years before I was allowed to buy another fly away toy, I just got a DJI Mini 4. The camera is fantastic, it shoots a Log colour profile at 10bit, 4k 100fps, FHD 200fps and best of all can follow a subject without you holding the controls. Basically you could put the remote down, walk away from the remote and capture yourself walking through an interesting landscape single-handed. Without too much hyperbole, its the perfect camera man/woman/person.

    The cloud inversion was incredible! To be fair, everything from this trip has been incredible to see, the inversion was the icing on the cake. There;s a lot to be proud of here, you've captured everything brilliantly. The photography and videography just seem to be getting better every episode. Looking forward to whatever comes next! 🙂

    Lovely tour and excellent footage & pics, capturing in these light conditions with its dynamic range is really tricky... Did you use Eterna or standard Provia for your footage, since you mentioned you would not use F-log much?

    • @wildandfreevictoria
      @wildandfreevictoria  9 месяцев назад

      Thank you so much for this, it was pretty tricky but so happy my equipment all held up well. There is also lot more on the way too 🙃 yes I shot all in Eterna and the colour grade i accordingly afterwards 🙃 I use f-log for portrait or vlogging work - and in high light it works fantastic too. I just felt like mixing it up a bit 🙃

    • @wildandfreevictoria
      @wildandfreevictoria  9 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you and it is a very photographic place! I shoot in RAW but do have a film simulation selected as I don’t know if there is an actual way to shoot in “true RAW” on my cameras - or rather, when I upload them into LR Adobe Colour us already applied

    Hello love your content, it is just brilliant and it Helps me a lot. Espacially your lens reviews, and i want to get into wildlife and i have an Xt 2 from Fuji the 150-600 seems like a better choice but i just dont have the advanced tracking and stacked Sensor ... So the 100-400 would probably the better choice cause i couldnt really use the full potentiel of the 150-600? Right?
