  • @Lez-B-Ein
    @Lez-B-Ein 4 года назад +97

    Never had a real dad, so having Vesemir there for Geralt really hits me in the heart and I truly understood the Witchers' emotionlessness, as I stood in awe of his burning body irl, Geralt didn't cry, he didn't frown, just the empty black stare but I knew he loved him dearly which makes it even more impactful.

    • @Lez-B-Ein
      @Lez-B-Ein 4 года назад +3

      @Imlerith, general of the Wild hunt almost every Witcher I have met while playing the game seemed alot less than filled with emotion, rather they grow more and more empty with time as they're consider freaks by most of society, and the other half the time they're traveling killing monsters. Doesn't seem like something that would help you flourish your emotion or personality after a few hundred years tbh, I mean look at what a few years of military can do to a young man. All the death pain, loneliness, emptiness, it all leads back to the emotionless. Also the process in which they become Witcher as children seems like the perfect setup to create an adult with emotional ineptitude

    • @unrelentingawesomeness7501
      @unrelentingawesomeness7501 4 года назад +3

      @@Lez-B-Ein In the books and games it is said by characters that witchers dont have emotions but the whole point of the witcher franchise is to show that witchers are often more human than actual humans and the fact that he doesnt cry isnt that he doesnt have emotions but that he knows death and knows that it is inevitable

The oldest being who *became* a witcher after the founding of the order is Shogo the living mountain. He still lives, he just spends centuries asleep and only moves when the world is in great danger.

    You tell it so movingly. One would almost believe you had witnessed the events for yourself. Even without the images, your voice intertwined with that esoteric musical score makes for the most evocative mental images, weaving dialogue from the game in with your own script so deftly.
    I was cooking while this played on my tablet, and I spent most of that time unable to look at the screen, but the visuals were no less vivid in my mind’s eye.

    Question: if you find a sword in a treasure around the map, will it be stronger if your character has a higher level? If yes, can i get that same sword later in the game if i had already found it? Thanks

      I believe it doesn't work like that, weapons get stronger as you level up even if you already have them in your inventory

    you say that every monster ever slain, every evil ever expelled would not have been possible... bro you need to do some serious digging... First of all... The school of the Wolf and Kaer Morhen were the last school ever formed for witchers...
    The Order of Witchers was an attempt made by kings and affiliated mages in the 10th century to create an order of magic-using knights who would help Nordlings get rid of enemies they hadn't otherwise been able to subjugate, enclose in reservations, or exterminate - monsters.
    The final outcome of the mutations disappointed most of the mages, who began to call the result "witchers", charlatans capable of nothing more than mere witchery. A few renegades however, including Alzur, secretly aided the monarchs interested in continuing the experiment, and the final set of Trials and Mutations was established.
    The Order didn't last long however - its members had abandoned most of the original "knightly" values over time and soon split into a handful of witcher schools, aimed at taking a more professional approach to eradicating monsters.
    witcher.fandom.com/wiki/Order_of_Witchers please check this link out... you really need more information about it...
    the school
    You say that Vesemir was probably as old as Kaer Morhen.. but it isn't true... According to Vesemir, Kaer Morhen was home to twenty-three witchers and forty students before it was attacked. And "attacked" here doesn't mean the attack of salamandra.. It means the Sack of Kaer Morhen which Geralt mentions to Calanthe in Netflix series
