"If you don't kick out Nazis, they will multiply." Such true words. Nazis should always be met with resistance. There's a story about a guy sitting at a bar when a younger man sat down next to him. When the young man tried to order, the old punk bartender took one look at him and immediately told him to get out. There was a bit of a stare-down for a few seconds, then the kid left. The guy asked the bartender what that was all about. The bartender told him the the young man had a Nazi symbol on his jacket. "If I allowed him to quietly finish his drink and leave," the bartender said, " he would bring one of his friends next time. Then that friend would bring a friend, and so on, then in a short time the bar is a Nazi bar." The same thing happened to the Republican party and Xhitter.
I’m just coming across this video today but man Maya you hit on a lot of things I’ve been thinking about. Especially with the collective agreeable things we use to have.
It's great to see you back in the mix! The country does appear to be growing into a population of automatons. You have been a breath of fresh air. Salute!
collective conscience is the "creator", collective unconscious is holy spirit or intuition in my opinion. These are loose interpretations of course. That line about the work horse is deep af. Great transformation.👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💪🏾🙏🏾👌🏾
I want to say many things here. Let me just say, I want a better tomorrow for my family. How can people make that happen outside of striving to be ethical and careful?
Right now, I think normal people have to get more involved in local politics (PTA, city council etc) and remember that it's a chore, not an excuse to wield power. Plus, be good to our families. That's all I've got for now!
My only gripe with this rant was the Autism comment and the R word. As someone who actually has Asperger’s and not someone online pretending for sympathy likes or one who thinks it’s a synonym for the R word, I’m actually shocked to hear that comment from you. You do realize most online accounts are bots for boosting engagement, right? Like I understood your point but girl, leave me and the rest of us out of it 😂
You're right. I'm letting my frustration with people who self-diagnose and use that as an excuse to be anti-social get the better of me. I'm sure you're much more frustrated with them, and you don't deserve the blow-back. My apologies.
I, too, was taken back by the r-word. I'm the father of a child with developmental disabilities and I hope we can grow and recognize how prevalent ableism is. The oldest and most committed discrimination on Earth because it's invisible and accepted.
@@diallo1347 FTR, I'd never refer to a disabled person like that. It is used for when able-bodied/minded people forget their sense. It's not a pretty term, but it seems like it was holding something together, because when it fell out of use, regular people started acting like damn fools en masse. I support you and your son.
@@MayeMuses I understand your logic, and people should be given grace so that they can learn and grow. However, I also work as a therapist and as a disability rights advocate. The disability community does not make that distinction. It is similar to someone using the n-word to refer to a white person "acting" Black or displaying n-word tendencies, sure they might not call a Black person the n- word, but the use of that slur is still the use of the slur and maintains the slur's hurtful intent and ignores the history of violence that typically followed that word. The r-word, f-word, c-word, n-word all have a violent intent and history, and we can use words that do not perpetuate hate speech to marginalized and vulnerable communities. Again, I love your work, and this isn't meant to shame or "cancel" you, just advocating for a marginalized community that is the most ignored and "fair game" for discrimination.
Awesome video, thanks for the upload. I have no heard jag off in quite some time, and that is a city staple. granted I do not interact with people in this city all that much
I heard about the illiteracy problems. Couldn't believe it. With all this technology. Kids not knowing how to read is wild to me. They spend so much time online. Are the words just symbols to them?
So many damn patreons with good content nowadays. I wish there was one flat fee to access them all. Probably still won't do it but at least i can go. That's nice they have that.
I have a lot of opinions on the stuff you mentioned but just for one Saying that religion creates unity (with its own issues) as oppose to racism just isn’t factual. Even Europe who claims to be more classist than racist shows their racism on their own dating shows, and backlash to refugees
I remember when the Women's March was co-opted by a group of four grifters: Linda Sarsour and three of her buddies. Sad that they ran it into the ground and took all the money raised as their personal gains.
Not in public schools. And not in any school that receives a single dollar of tax funding. Many of those "private" and "charter" schools exploit that loop hole.
@@diallo1347 Personally speaking there should not exist public schools. Public schools replaced the community schools that had formed pre-1965, so the then Department of Health and Human Services (Education did not exist as an independent department until 1979) could use them as indoctrination laboratories. Charter schools are indeed such a scam. I am a life-long educator, and when I was in education grad school every damn body was planning to start a charter school for that reason. Some private schools, especially Catholic parochial schools take advantage of those loop holes. In the Jewish community they tend to not take tax dollars, as then they are beholden to teach what the Feds want. I know the Day school I selected for my kids takes no federal dollars. It's all powered by the community's tuition dollars and fundraising across the state of Texas. I sure wouldn't support a place that exploited such a loop hole.
It was. You're right about that. It was Occupy's tragic flaw, its inability to form something meaningful. The we are the 99% slogan is a half-truth. Few of the people who showed up were anarchist, and they were the worst ones. Most regular people just answered the call and realized it wasn't happening. I should do a video. I have a lot of footage from Occupy LA that I need to dust off

That is a great story, and it is true! The Odysee platform got taken over by White Supremacists, and now, no one uses it

"fascism will come to America wrapped in a flag" i think a guy named Mencken said it. Abe saw this.
The full quote is, "When fascism comes to Amercia, it will be wrapped in the flag holding a Bible." Trump has done both.
