Sarah McLachlan’s songs are always beautiful and she is a great champion for humanitarian causes. A wonderful artist with a huge heart. Thanks to Harri and whoever requested this. 🎄🎅🎄
From Sarah's 🇨🇦 2004, 3rd album, " AfterGlow" this song was written in the wake of the September 11th attack. Her predominantly falsetto voice is so magical. She inspires and provokes the mind with her beautiful delivery and great lyrical ability to totally capture your full attention. The guitar accompaniment is so suited to Sarah's vocals. Beautiful song. She donated the production costs to 11 charitable organizations, after feeling overwhelmed by the suffering in the world. Great reaction Harri. Thanks Harri and Bestie. 👏👏 Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
She is a very generous & beautiful person inside and out! I guarantee if you listen to any song of hers and you will love it. She is a gifted musician, singer & songwriter. I love her, this song and I loved watching you react to it. It is an eye-opening video
Loved reacting to this one for the first time as well! Blown away! Thought I was going to have to "tolerate" listening to this song-wrong!!! The beauty of her vocals and her instrumentals are so intriguing! She's beyond gold, she's platinum in her performances!
One of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard is the performance of "Water is Wide" by Sarah McLachlan, the Indigo Girls, and Jewel at the 1997 Lilith Fair Festival.
I love this song and video. The album Afterglow, is spectacular. I saw her at the Beacon Theater a few years ago. One of my favorite singers. Great pic.
All the billionaires who fly private jets to the WEF, could be using some of their money to get fresh water wells built for villages in poor countries, or help inner city children in the USA to have a better life. I have never envied wealthy people and never understood why someone would want to live in a mansion when so many around the world live in shacks, but that is just me. At least Sarah McLachlan is making people aware of what is going on around the world, even though some of us already knew it.
I've seen Sarah McLachlan about a half dozen times in concert, and the amazing thing is that she undersings on her records, but lets her full voice out in concert. Her performances are better than the album recordings!! The first time I saw her was at Molson Park near Barrie for a Canada Day (like your July 4th) concert of a dozen Canadian bands, and the first artist up was this woman fronting a band playing one of my favourite songs, Peter Gabriel's "Solsbury Hill", and she was playing this beautiful Martin 12-string guitar. There is a debate among some guitarists as to which is better, Martin guitars or Taylor guitars...having played both, I am on the Taylor side of the fence. And that does look like a Taylor guitar that she is playing in this video. :-)

I agree, all the other things in the video was distracting from her singing. She has a beautiful voice, however.
