Needs to be more regular though.. Look at any growing channels. The key is R-E-G-U-L-A-R-I-T-Y as a cheerleader might say! Charlie uploads maybe once a week? He needs a faster production and editing team.
i have a feeling that journalist who make it are puppets with a higher salary, hence not a lot of people know about this guy. unfortunately mms is the definition of propaganda.
The real question should be, is Jim Harbaugh worth $5 million per year to the University, and the Athletic Department, as a whole? YES, is the answer! Jim answered the question correctly, as a person (human being), he is not worth $5 million, annually, nor is he worth anymore than the next guy/woman, in a literal, human sense. The University knows he is worth the investment and the financial "risk", based on his resume and his past experiences in the football world... The amount of $$$ the University brings in from the football program is well worth the $5 million dollar annual investment. The revenue (not profit) from one sell out game at Michigan Stadium is enough to pay his annual salary, with a good chunk left over... ONE GAME! That's just about a no-brainer. Even $10 million annually would be worth it for the University, being that football $$$ helps support a large part of of the University, and the entire athletic department (all sports). U of M football is it's money machine! That's the business/market of college athletics. GO BLUE!
+tcryder81 You're correct, but his humility is correct. Additionally, Charlie let the point be stated at 4:30. However, he comments again at 4:40 that the point is the education and such a big payment might be motivation, but it's exorbitant and only detrimental to the university and the student. I say it's detrimental because it takes money that could be elsewhere and Jim would be just as happy with less money. HOWEVER, KUDOS TO JIM FOR HIS HUMILITY.
He doubled the amount of wins Michigan had compared to their record the previous year He just signed the number 1 high school player in the country and had the nations 5th best recruiting class, his class also had the most commits of the top 5. I'd say he's worth it.
What about student athletes quality of life. how many of them graduate and do something after college of they don't make it pro. tell me that. we take and use these athletes and throw them away after 5 years. and he gets 5 mil a year to manage it lol. but hey who doesn't love good football
He also lost to FSU in the Orange Bowl. A team not even ranked in the top 10. And back to winning championships again? Michigan has won only one co-championship in 70 years.
Not sure how it is in Michigan but here in Georgia Kirby Smart only receives about $200,000 from the State of Georgia the rest of his guaranteed millions in pay a year comes from the U. Georgia Alumni plus he gets whatever endorsements he can. Our Port authority Director makes over 2 million a year and the tax commissioner of Fulton County "Atlanta" makes around $500,00 a year. Our Governor earns less then $200,000 a year.......Funny stuff.
Why Me? I'm sure you're guaranteed right. lacrosse is a bit popular in the Northeast but most of the country it's not. I live in Florida and when I was in high school and middle school there was no lacrosse teams. if you wanted to play it then you would have to join some type of private League that I'm sure somebody put on but who even knows if they had enough people and every city to make it where you actually had enough teams to play with every year. I remember going up to New York during the summer to visit my relatives for about 2 weeks but when we went up there school was still in session since their summer starts later than ours down here. There starts when literal summer starts and ends on Labor Day. Are starts usually the last day of May and starts somewhere in the middle of August. Anyway my aunt goes we got to go to your cousin's lacrosse game if they win this one then during the summer they get to go play the better teams around the state and the country and I remember looking at her saying what the fuck is lacrosse? The big sports that are played no matter where in this country are football and basketball and baseball butt baseball's definitely fell quite a bit and popularity since when I was born in the 80s. Football still very popular but I believe basketball is probably either almost caught up to it or it might be a tad bit more popular but I'm not positive and of course you can argue which one's more popular at the high school level college-level and National professional level
Got to admire his honesty. but why would he take a paycut? I'd take as much money as they were willing to pay me. Most people would. The system is wrong. Whole thing needs to change
If you watch video of Jim Harbaugh during post-game interviews when Michigan has lost a game, you will find a guy who appears to have some emotional issues.
The heads of college sports can't be blamed one bit for the massive amounts of money. If we need to point the finger at anyone it should be towards where the money comes from - all the fans who go to the games and buy the merchandise.
Ok but in all seriousness pay attention to football just a bit and you will realize the reason that guy is the head coach is because he has a masters degree in football no different than a brain surgeon except he entertains a lot more people and for a local area it’s also a way to keep pride in your team , I will never be jealous of another mans hard work and blessings I’m sure if he wasn’t doing a good job coaching he would be gone on the other hand you can notice high end coaching in football 100 fold more than any other sport with the next prob basketball , athletes need some one to corral them that they respect and can learn from in a tough love kind of way . Football players are never the smartest on a whole it’s Amazing when you see what a Urban Myers can do for a team almost overnight. Same in pros Jacksonville jags make playoffs with Tom coughlin , he leaves goes to Giants for like 8 yeArs wins 2 Super Bowls while jags never make playoffs while switching coaches every 2 years he goes back to Jax last year they are division champs and into the final playoff round. This year they have a good chance of winning . My point is coaching is really almost priceless when it comes to football with how much revenue a good coach can bring you.
and we see why Jimbo hates clowns who ask questions. part of the $5 mil responsibilities. and we see why this guy was a cheerleader...but a back flip at his age: impressive! cool name too...Charlie LeDuff
If they work in a public school, yes (taxpayers money). The University of Michigan is a public school, so technically he is a public servant (like everyone else working there).
+Steven King It's advertising. That's all. College sports is a nationwide ad campaign for the schools. Most good teams turn profits that pay for all the other sports the school has. Most good programs power the local economies of the towns the schools reside. Understand economics.
Its not his fault that he gets 5m each year. it's the stupid people who offered him that. 5m is Fn a lot of money they can donate this money for people in need help the community do something good cause the question is football more important or the community? Thats unfair
aboelsof alabed How is it stupid? There's a massive amount of money involved in collegiate sports. Consistently winning 2-4 more games than you would with another guy means millions upon millions of dollars in revenue and donations by alumni.
60 push ups, back flips, acrobatics, who knew? You rock Charlie!
Troll Masters And almost 50
How incredibly honest of harbaugh. Wow
60 pushups is awesome - Go Charlie!

Love Jim. No BS.
I will watch every video on your channel! I love the content! Stay safe brother
Totally not worth it but I would most likely not take a paycut either.
*MALE CHEERLEADER.. LMFAO!!! YOU'RE THE BEST CHARLIE...*
Good video Charlie!
I never knew you were a graduate from U of M, however I still think you are the coolest!!
First requirement to receive a $5,000,000 at year salary is to bang out sixty push ups.

Sweet flips
Jim is a class act all the way his jersey is the only one I've kept after throwing all my others away this year
He doubled the amount of wins Michigan had compared to their record the previous year He just signed the number 1 high school player in the country and had the nations 5th best recruiting class, his class also had the most commits of the top 5. I'd say he's worth it.
what brilliant stats... 5 million dollars to do that.. really.. 5 million!
What about student athletes quality of life. how many of them graduate and do something after college of they don't make it pro. tell me that. we take and use these athletes and throw them away after 5 years. and he gets 5 mil a year to manage it lol. but hey who doesn't love good football

5 Million? For a game where a bunch of grown men throw a ball and he points where to go?
Airport Runway oh well, they only produced a 5 time super bowl winning qb
Charlie is the best report in the history of the universe!
The first public university in the United States was the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Yooo how are you flippping like that!
I hope you are fine were ever you / thank's so much for this offering
Very entertaining video. I love the end..."do that, Eisen". Awesome!
🤔Exactly the kind of mindset and people we need in this country. 🇺🇸God Bless Them All 😏
Fact check: UNC was the first public university in the US.
Lol lmfao! Charlie is f'n crazy!
MICHIGAN is back!!!!!
Love u Charlie, u are damn flexible and In shape for your age, you awesome man
Good job on the back flip! I thought for a minuet there you were going to get the coach to come off of his salary.
i respect jim keeping it real
When he said no, Charlie didn't know what to say back.
As of earlier tonight, I'd say Michigan fans are in full agreement.

A professor of law and the best excuse he has is "that's how the world is"
The long story is Charlie was knocking his Star Spangled boots with those cheerleaders.
this guy is wonderful man
First public university in the United States was in Michigan? That's just not accurate. University of North Carolina is the oldest public.
Supply and demand of the free market!! Good for him!
What does the lacrosse team’s coach make? Now that would be interesting to know! Guaranteed it’s not millions.

This guys has balls to say he is not worth that much money!
As a Spartan, I'd answer with a definitive "yes!"
Male cheerleader, Charlie just keeps going up in my estimations, tax free estimations
Got to admire his honesty. but why would he take a paycut? I'd take as much money as they were willing to pay me. Most people would. The system is wrong. Whole thing needs to change

His record as of 2019 I dont think he worth a nickel !
after years making millions in the NFL do Jim really need 5 million to survive?
If he beats Ohio state it's worth it.
GO BLUE FOREVER.
Wait, what, sorry. Coaches are PAID PUBLIC SERVANTS?
If they work in a public school, yes (taxpayers money). The University of Michigan is a public school, so technically he is a public servant (like everyone else working there).
yep and more
According to ticket sells yes 😂
How's that OSU rivalry going? Jim won a game yet? Michigan is our Bitchagain! Go Bucks!
I forgot which college is paying a couch 100 mills for 10 years. 10 a year. Things didn’t change apparently
Pay athletes
i think charlie has a man crush
Yeah. Professional sports? LAME. College should pay for itself. It needs to be based on ACADEMIA.
+Steven King It's advertising. That's all. College sports is a nationwide ad campaign for the schools. Most good teams turn profits that pay for all the other sports the school has. Most good programs power the local economies of the towns the schools reside. Understand economics.
+Nub Zur I'd agree if it was some other sport than the grand jewel of searching for concussions..
I don't like nuts... especially academia nuts...
Go blue!
+Craig Walker 42-13
oh how I HATE, Ohio STATE
Nice to know.........that Amerique always gets its priorities straight......ugh....
