I see a lot of people saying the live versions are better...and to be honest I like both for different reasons. The live is great and just impressive how the vibe feels more jazz and funky, but I really like the studio one because it feels like those really punchy technologic type of sounds from the video games I used to play...and it's great! Tldr; I'm really glad I stumbled onto them and enjoy both the live and studio tracks.
I think I have to be in a very specific mood for studio knower... but the vibe of live knower is much more of a thing I can listen to almost all the time :D
This song has a similar vibe to Hideki Naganuma's recent tune "Ain't Nothin' Like a Funky Beat". He's the composer who did all the music for Jet Set Radio and Sonic Rush!
Yes! So original, imaginative, unexpected and incredibly cute - much like the singer! Name and form have rarely been so poetically well mated. This song is so cool on many levels - but especially the way it takes on the most clichéd theme in the universe and playfully makes it fresh and humorous. Such a delight!
Its a cool track, BUT.... I love the live sesh version sooooo much better, & that one has 7.6M views at this point. ruclips.net/video/GnEmD17kYsE/видео.html
In an interview Knower had, they tried giving this song to Janet Jackson but she didnt use it...damn i wonder what that woulda sounded, either way this is amazing!
That's crazy cuz I was just thinking listening to Genevieve's vocals that she kinda sounds like Janet. This definitely would've been on a Janet album or at least a remixed version of a song she would do.
I've heard the live one too and that's amazing but this one just murders the headphones, the production and sounds combined with the complex harmony is incredible
I like both the album version and the live version. The album soundtrack has that full punchy electronic deliciousness and the live version has all the jams. Speaking of which, I really need a properly produced official release of the Live Sesh audio.
I love this but it's so hard to come back to this version after the live sesh. Sam Wilkes throwing down this bass line might be the best thing I've ever heard in my life. I'm secretly hoping I can convince Louis to use my house for his next live sesh.
Loving your heavier 'dance' stuff. I say dance because I grew up in the 90's :) This and Time Traveler are by far my favorite tracks of yours. Loving you guys, keep it up!
*A man emerges from a pile of late 90's grunge. He explains that he may have buried there for 20 years or more. A deep smile emerges from his face and his eyes light up. He says: "music, ahh yes I remember music. This is what it is supose to sound like!".*
... and Louis Cole is SUCH A BEAST on the drums, it’s ridiculous. Never mind his work on the keyboards, which is exceptional. Don’t get me started on the sweet-voiced angel.
I love both versions of this song. I love the live version's soundscape with the Sam Wilkes licking all over the place, but this whole track is so louis cole and there's just a lot of minor things that aren't done in the live version
It's so great to hear these studio versions after initially hearing the live takes which are absolutely mind blowing. I love these versions as well as it's almost like a completely different song, plus the ambient ending is something I'd buy an entire album of. I can't believe I'm so late to the party for Knower as I only found out about them about 2 weeks ago.
I love how the studio version showcases artist's physical musical talent and this showcases the technological talent of mastering and arranging on a DAW, both are amazing.
I never heard the "OG" version and I have to say I even prefer it more than the live band sesh version, even if they are both amazing. I'm truly grateful I discovered their music, thanks MisterMV ! ❤
3:40 and onward... this section got stuck in my head for like a week until I was able to figure out where it was from. Then I listened to it on repeat.
I thought I was insane when I was trying to find this version of this song and all I could find was the live band session version! I felt so relieved when I finally found this one, I love this version so much more!
Exquisite and inspired as always. At a time when production seems to overshadow the music itself, you two continue to create music with soul. Thank you!
I see a lot of people saying the live versions are better...and to be honest I like both for different reasons. The live is great and just impressive how the vibe feels more jazz and funky, but I really like the studio one because it feels like those really punchy technologic type of sounds from the video games I used to play...and it's great!

Everything is just freaking great you're right that the digital sounds 8bit-like are awesome.. as in time traveler too
Yeah I see what you mean I think it's down to the energy of the live performances but I like both
I think I have to be in a very specific mood for studio knower... but the vibe of live knower is much more of a thing I can listen to almost all the time :D
Live version is more dynamic and less cold.
That's cus' you you are smart and you understand the pure genious of this song.
This sounds like it could've been on the Jet Set Radio Future soundtrack
True.....
Damn, sega should make a new jet set radio and include a bunch of songs just like this
Id buy that immediately
I think I should make a jet set radio version of this song
This song has a similar vibe to Hideki Naganuma's recent tune "Ain't Nothin' Like a Funky Beat". He's the composer who did all the music for Jet Set Radio and Sonic Rush!
"I'm the frosted side of a miniwheat" is the best lyric ever

My husband and I chose this song as our first dance at our wedding lol
That's fucking awesome!!!
Gratz on the wedding...and the song choice!!!!
Great strategy for keeping the old geezers off the dance floor!
Congrats
was a nice wedding
When I get married I'm having purely a mix of beatles and Knower music. Nothing else. Maybe a who song
This is a way different vibe from the live sesh
They're almost two different song
@@Rob_Pap ye i get it now
i like the live ver a little better (partly bc of the mj squeals) but this is really nice
these chord progressions are killer, sweet stuff!

The fact this has 500k views instead of 500m means this world is fucked.

@MrTsiolkovsky yeeee
That's crazy cuz I was just thinking listening to Genevieve's vocals that she kinda sounds like Janet. This definitely would've been on a Janet album or at least a remixed version of a song she would do.
I'm ashamed at myself, for going months without knowing this track existed. It's giving me so much life!!!!
I've heard the live one too and that's amazing but this one just murders the headphones, the production and sounds combined with the complex harmony is incredible

Asked and answered: knowermusic.bandcamp.com/track/overtime-live-band-session
I can't tell which is better, this or the live band sesh, they're both amazing
PIZZA was the theme song of our wedding. Thank for making our wedding better.
haha that's a bold choice. i love it. that outro must have been something else playing over the speakers
This also really should be in Beat Saber
Its on Osu but someone can make it on beat saber.
@@TheDarkVictini I actually found out that it's an Audica OST song
Fun fact: it is in the beat saber official list so you can play this on the ps4 version too
Mismagius mapped it on osu but it's hard as shit
Fiji64 no. That’s one hope not overtime.
This has Michael & Janet Jackson written all over it. One of the most awesome themes I have ever heard. Very very very awesome guys. Wonderful sound.
Haha tought the same!
they wrote this song for her! she didn't take it, so they recorded it themselves.
I love this but it's so hard to come back to this version after the live sesh. Sam Wilkes throwing down this bass line might be the best thing I've ever heard in my life. I'm secretly hoping I can convince Louis to use my house for his next live sesh.

I just posted that this feels like 90s house!!!
I could totally see this song being a florida breaks track or a chill trap/future music remix.
If this track had hit the raves of the early 90s we would have all broken our necks.....
2000 here, gotta say I love it too. But I'm a weird one 'cause I also absolutely adore happy hardcore and similar.
This track is so spicy
Best funk I've heard in a a long long time.
The sound of drums here is killing it. Beautiful
Ooooh the harmony in the end, GEEZUS!

I love how the studio version showcases artist's physical musical talent and this showcases the technological talent of mastering and arranging on a DAW, both are amazing.
That voice and those chords are incredible.
I discovered this long after the live version. Now I'm forced to love them both.
This goes in my car on a loop, full blast. My car almost falling apart 😀
I just heard this a day ago... and I can't stop playing it! Has that Jazzy Funk Flavor!
Explosive song with amazing drum works from Louis and singing from Genevieve ! Your two ROCK !!! 👏❤

Best outro ever since Herbie Hancock's Thrust here ruclips.net/video/I1dhqvO-COM/видео.html
Return to Forever meets DEVO meets ... space funk. Outta this world.
Th3birdman showed me this gem and I love this song
This will run the tables in Miami Beach and get twisted into a multitude of DJ backgrounds. This shit is super tight and funky. Dope and Fly.
3:39 you have entered dream land
Hands off, both versions are dope AF!!!
Ok this is my first time hearing the song and NOBODY TOLD ME HOW GOOD IT IS?!?!
She gives me a warm feeling in my lower midsection.....dat live sesh doe......

Some of the best electronic I've heard 😍🔥
I'm addicted to this hidden gem like a bottle of coke, love it.
This is taking me back to the 90s
CHORD PROGRESSIONS ARE MWUAH!
Taking me back to N64 days.
Killin' it!
The harmonies and syncopation are so tight! Plus them vocals! Next Level.
To really get an appreciation for their music, listen to KNOWER songs with very LARGE headphones :)
and large aviator shades
It's called speaker ^^
OMG THANKS SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS ONE!
I've been listening to the live version for so long!
I think the live version is much better in this case.
the song was on soundcloud before
Mario A. L. Yeah honestly I think they should record the live audio through the master output, maybe make live albums like Alive 1997.
Kangaroo Shorts you saying they should do Alive is kinda funny how their most recent album is called LIFE
I get such wonderful 90s vibes from the two of them.
Thank you guys so much for making an audio version of this song. Ive been waiting for months for this
what other versions of a song are there
@@probablyintervert Poor dude was stuck humming along to the sheet music.
I hate how i never got recommended this masterpiece, youtube is always bullying me.
It would be a missed opportunity if they didn’t put this song for a *future Blade Runner sequel.*

I felt so relieved when I finally found this one, I love this version so much more!
This have to get viral! much better than the new crap of music we find now-a-days!
My favorite song! Greatings from Chile.

I like how beats of your music and my heart match perfectly, simply love it.

They should put these guys in Cyberpunk 2077, it's very futuristic sounding
I wish Knower was in Cyberpunk 2077 god damn.
I stumbled onto this band while wandering around in Second Life. I'm an immediate fan & follower. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
