The Thursday Murder Club is my favorite series!!!!! The fourth book made me cry.
Not quite cosy mystery, but the Finlay Donovan series is my ultimate comfort series. It's very much "suspension of disbelief" but it's like I love Lucy x Golden Girls x Murder She Wrote all combined into one, it's HILARIOUS but the twists are so good!
For a cozy mystery recommendation, Alex needs to read Vera Wong's Unsolicited Advice for Murderers. The audiobook is fabulous, I think it just won the biggest audiobook award because of the narrator.
