These were my first brush pens
Mine too
Same same
I'm all for it..
Lol mine too
My too
I started calligraphy with this pens cause
these are widely available in India...😄
But it's quite difficult to create upstrokes with these pens.
I also struggling with same problem
Use Doms brush pen they very easy to handle and the best I just Learned calligraphy in almost 3 days from those
@@sharmilajain4739 Absolutely!
They are good.
@AishaPlays I received a quick delivery... actually I ordered on flipkart.
@AishaPlays Ah!I can't remember the exact time but In two to three days for sure.
The excitement is real to see a review on Camlin brush pens! It's usually the only affordable brand here in India, and we have nothing to compare it to. Genuinely grateful for this review❤️
There's also Doms, I think.... Not really sure. I usually use Camlin and *_Jesus_*, are they _annoying_ for a beginner. Your upstrokes look like boa constrictors 😂 😭
@@riddhichatterjee3327 Couldn't agree more 😂 I made the mistake of starting out with learning calligraphy with Camlin brush pens, as they were the only ones I could find. Now I know I shouldn't have been so hard on myself for zero control on the upstrokes and transitions. It is definitely a colourful set just to play around with though.
@@Dr.Sriprada Add gel brand's brush pens are wonderful for their price. Their brush tips are similar to tombow. the only downside to them would be the limited shade range.
@@nithyaravishankar1963 thank you! Will try it out😀
@@riddhichatterjee3327 true,, my first set has ruined brush tips because they were so hard to control but it's been 3 yrs and I can control it well lol but I still remember my old days, I almost gave up haha
These were the 1st brush pens that I ever used .. love from india
Me too
I'm in love with Indian brands like Camel, Camlin, Domes they're cheap but amazingggggggggg
Oh I am indian
@@yashasvijaiswal2693 metoo
Yeah specialy doms, is giving some good colours in cheap price
@@makewithshashank3656 yeah
Doms and camlin are great! I love their pencil colours and oil pastels specifically!
Carlin, camel and classmate are the MOST common, cheap, and best selling brands in India.....all these brands sell everything from: pens, geometry box, paints, colours, notebooks. Like ANYTHINGGGG
All my stuff I own r mostly from only those 3 brands
All of their stuff can vary from 10₹ (14cents in usd) to 300₹ (4.08 usd) like it’s rly cheap in Usd when converted from ₹
DOMS too!
Soooo true!!
@@ashnaandashiworld9771 YES OFC
But the notebook paper quality is crap
@@turtlefairy no way its the best used from lkg now in 9th
I started my Calligraphy with Camlin brush pens only...... Thanks for this video.... Lot's of love from India....
These were my first pens. Never regretted anything more 😂. The day I could actually write with these was a landmark in my skill I swear!
Her review in short-
They are really juicy(like the ecoline brush pens) and you can't really do small lettering with them. It's very flexible and might be hard for beginners to use. They're water based and they blend really good.
Thanks.. You saved my time
Keep up the good work 👍👍👍
These pens are widely available in India...I started calligraphy using these only...From my point of view upstrokes are a little tough from these brush pens..when I was thorough with the basic strokes and alphabets I ordered tombow fudenosuke black hard tip pen..And I just saw the change in my writing
So I do not recommend them for beginners..
I use them for desingning and painting little paintings its nice and less messier than watercolor
This was in my cart and i was about to purchase it... Thought of watching a review before i buy them and here it is!
Omg!
Thankyou for such videos 💕😘💕💕😘💕💕💕💕
I was looking for a blending tutorial with camlin brush pens and you posted it!!😍
Thanks a lot Becca!☺️❤
Me looking at the thumbnail thinking you made a big typo "Calming" for a few seconds there 😅😅😅
These were my first brush pens when started calligraphy
I would always search for camlin brush pens calligraphy and the
videos are not so great
Now my pens are fraying and just two or three of them work
I practiced a lot with them and now I am doing all my calligraphy in my iPad using procreate
Yayyyy never expected a camlin brush pen video from u..
So happy
Finally!!!!!!! I'm soo happy your reviewing the one and only pen I wanted you to review!!! Yay!! Thank uuuuuuuu soooooooooooooooo muuuuuuucccchhhhh!!!!!!💖❤️❤️❤️❤️
I did all her tutorials with these
As usual, your videos are so helpful. So glad you made it clear that these are good pens, just probably not appropriate for beginners and/or if you are wanting to write small.
Becca , you can also try the doms brush pen. I have used them and I think that they are better than camlin but it has a drawback that it comes in 14 shades only
No it is also available in 26 shades...I bought it
@@bhuvaneswarijanagiraman7862 now it is available in the market previously it was not and I feel like camlin and doms pretty much gives the same quality.
My thoughts exactly they are really big and it is quite a struggle for a beginner
And mine too... My first brush pens that I brought yesterday and started to watch your channel from today... I really like the way you express calligraphy in different way and of course the web is amazing
Really very much excited to see you review on Camlin brush pens. Much needed one. Thank you :)
Happy and excited to see my first ever brush pens being reviewed my first ever calligraphy teacher!!! :)
I ordered this as soon as I saw this video and to be honest they work well for easy beginner art and yeah you can slowly work your way up to better and advanced markers!
There were my first brush pens 😁
I, absolutely love these pens! It's super flexible and the colour flow is amazing!! I also use them to fill in my mandala art! Thanks for your honest review! I Will try them with water too, I never did that.
Your video was informative on these brush pens. Thank you!
I just started learning using these and my gosh the upstrokes are a pain! I thought it was because I was left handed or because of using normal paper😅
Keep going! When you keep practicing, you can even do small calligraphy with this
I am also left handed, I don't have these brush pens but I should say that when you start learning and practicing the upstrokes are really hard to do and when you try to write words,it takes a bit effort to make the strokes thin, keep practicing, maybe you are better by now 💜
The upstrokes are easier when I hold it differently than I do with a normal pen I just hold it at a higher angle and it's easier
Waiting to see more videos with these pens ❤❤❤
Happy to see this review ☺️
I am currently using ‘add gel’ brush pens they are hard tip and I like them good for beginners
They're nice and super easy to control but mine frayed too soon... :(
@@Alanstudios Add Gel Brush Pens fray when you use them on not high-quality paper. I use them with tracing paper, they don't fray.
Thank u soo much for reviewing them... it was very helpful
Yaayyy! Finallyy! Love you Becca!
I m from India as beginner I used this pens It was frustrating not to get proper upstroke searched tombow pens and practiced.. never realised about this fun things I can do with this pen... Thanks a lot will use again
Beautiful pens! I like that you can use them as watercolours. Very cool!
I asked my uncle to order camlin brush pens and they are coming tomorrow thanks for telling it works good 👍👍👍
Thanks became for confirming if they are ok for work these were my first brush pens ever
What a wonderful work🤩 You are so talented✨ I love it! Have a nice day💕

I use these pens for everything except lettering ❤️ but ya it's a struggle to make small words but the tip hasn't frayed yet 👍
Hi wanna know what you use it for and how's the performance?
@@noorulnaziha5709 Its performance is great when used on a high-quality paper or tracing paper.

To be honest i love this brush pen...!
Ive created so many pieces when i was in school..♡

These are the first brushpens I used. They are super comfortable and lovely.
Thank you soo much for this video 😍
thank you for sharing this💜
Hey, Becca!! SO glad you made this video! Cheers to you and your family. I hope you guys are well.
Next Indian brand you need to try out : Add gel Brush pen.
I am hand lettering & calligraphy artist from India. I started using Camlin as a beginner and I give them out for my workshops as well. Almost every artist here recommends the Add gel ones but I've never tried them. It would be really cool to have you try it out and compare it with the Camlin ones.!
As a beginner I have tried the add gel pens as well as the Camlin brush pens. I can assure you, the add gel pens are way way better for a beginner to learn as compared to Camlin pens. The Camlin brush pens are much harder to handle and creating and upstroke is a real struggle that beginners can be intimidated by. I can make more distinct strokes with add gel pens although the downside is that they don't last long. But good for beginners.
Also, I tried Doms. Really nice, flexible and value for money.
I tried them they work pretty good ❤️
Love from India 😀
TYSM for giving this review ♥️ I have the same pack ... wanted to know how others feel abut it
Totally agree with your review!!
Beautiful colors!
Hi!! I am from India and I love all your videos! Thanks!!
Lots of love from India ❤️😀
Thanks for review our Camlin brush pen thanks
Thank you for making this video. I've always wandered what your views would be on this pen
😍💖
Thank you so much for this review! I'm a beginner and just started using these pens since two weeks and was wondering why I couldnt get some of the strokes to look the way they do in other videos! Now I know why I'm struggling... Your tips are a big relief! x
Thanku so much ♥️♥️ it's going to be my first brush pen 🦊🦊
Thank you so much for this review......this is the only affordable pen and indian made company ......really helpful
Camlin brush pen are the waste brush pen they are not easy to handle and they are not at all begginer friendly my sister got one and she took almost 3 months to handle this brush pen
That's why I got a Doms brush pen
It just took me 2 minutes to handle and my lettering came very beautifully That's why I would recommend Doms brush pen
Thank u.. i did not know that doms also have brush pens.. i will try those 😍
You can adjust the bush tip of those brush pens by opening the pen and then u can just use it with a smaller brush tip
How? Please tell
Just open it up by rolling it and then u can see the brush and the adjust it
@@aarushisinha5443 thanks

Yeah
Yesss
Agreed.
love these! thanks so much!
I remember getting this for free with a copy of Tinkle comic back in the day.. thanks for the review!!
You look like professional , with the writing skills.
My first ever brush pen that I held
Hey Becca! Subscriber from India. The things you say about size of the tip - I've noticed, from experience with Camlin brush pens (although not for calligraphy 😅) that the larger the number of the pens in the pack, the larger the tip. I know, it's completely illogical. But it actually holds for Camlin brush pens. So a 6-pen pack will have a smaller tip than a 12-pen pack, which again will have a smaller tip than the 24-pen pack, which is what you use here.
I hope this helps you, Becca, or anyone else reading this comment.
Woah, really? Camlin were the first brush pens I got 2 years back (24 count) and I hated them as a beginner but until I read this comment I have no idea that smaller the pack, smaller the tip ..🤦♀
😂 If you live in India you must know that knock-off brands that look and feel very similar to the originals are not only common, they are unfortunately the norm here in India. So I have no idea whether that could be the explanation for me finding different sizes of tips in different sizes of packets. Maybe I accidentally bought a knock-off 😂 I just shared my experience, in the hope it might help.
@Ramalaxmi Swarna Thanks for sharing your experience as a beginner, it'll probably help someone who's going to start calligraphy themselves. 😊
thanks For Video And It is Very Pleasurable and helpful....😊💖
I have them, love the colours...but the tip is difficult to work with, there’s a learning curve.
Wow your video was very informative actually I never used that brush pen I used another brand's brush pen and it was not very juicy
Thank you this video is very helpful 👍💕
Please try Dom's brush pen 🙏
Yes please
these are the brush pens i have
and it does not blend in wrong paper
and ya you are totally right that they are very flexible and are tricky
Thats what i was wanting from soooo long
I'm indian too 😍 I'm learning with them
thank you , it was a gr8 review !
I have the 12 set ones. They are cheap and good for beginners. Not for artists and pros but instead of buying an expensive set to practice, this is better.
thanks that was very helpful
Is Dom's brush pens are comfortable for beginners plz make a video on it
i have those and after so much use of it dosen't jagged and i think they are good quality brush pens
That's amazing Becca ... Would appreciate if you could come with some affordable options for paper too as we don't get HP premium 32 here in India 😣
Navigator loose A4 100/120 gsm smooth paper! Available on Amazon and absolutely wonderful :)
Becca thanks for doing it I would say please do on Dom's brush pens too their nibs are the perfect for begginers I am using them and they are amazing I have used camlin 8 pack brush pens though.

I bought it today itself!
I started out with these pens, [6 pens pack] and honestly speaking, they were OK. I used to do faux calligraphy with pencils and markers and decided to start out with some brush pens. As these were the only ones available in the local stationery shop, I bought them. the ink ran out after a couple of weeks and the tips started fraying. the tips were too flexible which made it tough to write. Now, I use the Tombow fudenosuke and sakura koi brush pens and my experience with these is much better than the Camlin brush pens. I wouldn't recommend these to beginners and those who do calligraphy regularly as these tend to dry up faster.
Pls do DOMS brush pen review also
i do have a query that are they related to tombow dual tip brush pens in any way? are they similar or very different?
I just got them today…and then watching your video
When I Visited India and bought for about 5$.
It was amazing thank you 🇮🇳India...
