I am lead to believe STEELDIVE used to make the watches for ADDIESDIVES and both owners were friends and wanted their own brands, and late 2021 ADDIESDIVE started making their own watches and went their separate ways. Probably why the Branding logos are very similar ;)

The Steeldive SD1953 (NH35A automatic) sells for less than the quartz version, and comes down into the $50 range (or less) during major sales. The case is the same size as the quartz version, but it has a fully lumed, ceramic bezel and 300m WR.
Addiesdive prints "DIVER"S 200M" on its dail, but I doubt their watches are ISO 6425 certified.
Great review. Just bought the addies dive for $38, tough to get a better watch at that price. Though, I do like the dial color better on the steeldive. Matches the bezel a better

Under most lighting condition, AddiesDives looks better due to less reflection on the crystal. The mineral glass with AR coating has obvious advantage over sapphire glass. This is a tradeoff for more scratch resistance.

@@miguelcosta7292 ahh I just reread what he wrote and you're right. He's saying the mineral with AR coating is better for less glare but it's a trade off because mineral is more likely to scratch! Makes sense now! In all actuality, sapphire with an AR coating would be the best of both worlds!
I went for the ADive I got for a mod base Oil filled and swapped out the crystal for sapphire with no magnification bubble it turned out amazing and gifted it to a good friend and I don't think he has taken of his wrist for a couple of months even wore it surfing a few times all in it was less expensive than the Steeldive not considering the labor but that I considered great fun Thanks for sharing my friend 👍

Both are fantastic, I have the Addies Dive and looks and feels great. The Lume is really good.
Bracelet slightly sharp but no problem, clasp is ok as well.
Bezel is on point, a little harsh feeling to rotate but how often to do this ???
For this price ..... $40 USD extremely good.

It's a no brainer. Steeledive all the way . Saphire , and the bracelet is brushed as for the addiesdive the bracelet is high polished in the middle links and it scratches like crazy !!! Also enjoying finger prints . Steeldive all the way !
Spot on. I think if you can't afford the difference between the two, then you probably shouldn't be buying either of them.

If we exclude automatic vs quartz, the only thing that makes Steeldive bit better in look are the longer watch hands, for hours, minutes and seconds...Addiesdive for some unknown reason made them shorter.
The Addiesdives shorter hands, especially the second, making the non alignment to the markers a little bit less disturbing, could be the reason for the shorter hands. With the same 2115 movement there's no other reason for the difference.
The hour hand seems to look nicer on the steeldive. The one on the Addiesdive looks thin and small. But not sure if it is due to the camera angle.
You're right! I forgot to mention this in the video. But the hands on addies are really smaller

I have the Addiesdive and only niggle I have is the small hand set. The minute hand on my Addiesdrive doesn't extend to the edge of the round indices, reaching about 1/2 way. The Steeldive in the video at 6:10 extends to the outer edge of the indice. The Steedlive hour hand is also longer, the mercedes larger. A very simple fix for Addiesdive if they wanted to improve what is already a fantastic watch.

I recently ordered the Addiesdive on sale in black and silver from Ali for $20 and change with free shipping, looks like its a steal at that price no matter the bezel difference etc. - havent received it yet so we'll see....

Why you got lume tip on your Steeldive? I take alook to Steeldive store there is no lume tip
Maybe because it's a quartz version
The lume pip is prone to falling off. From one of the reviews of the quartz it says "The Lum fell off on the bezel after three weeks of operation". I don't think it's a fully lumed bezel, and so has the lume pip... which falls off. Rolex don't have a fully lumed bezel so they have a pip. For the mechanical version they don't need a pip because the whole bezel is fully lumed. I definitely prefer a big lum triangle to a metal pip which can and does fall out!

Is the Addiesdive's dial more flat the Steeldive more sunburst? I like the flatter dial, but I am not sure if the difference is due just to the camera angle. The Steeldive logo looks nicer.
For me addies dial looks better, the colour is nicer. For Steeldive's logo win here

@@stefpix I only had SD-1953 for a couple of month, then it was stolen 🤣🤣 But anyway, the quartz model is basically identical. So yeah, I prefer Steeldive here, 10$ more expensive, but you get a bit better quality and sapphire glass

Os dois são bonitos porém, como tenho o addiesdive posso falar que é um relógio com uma aparência muito bonita e os modelo que tenho é de uma nova versão que tem o logotipo na tampa traseira e no pino do relógio e a pulseira é sem brilho, só não sei informar se ainda o vidro é safira ou mineral, eles informam no site que é safira sintética, mas mesmo que não seja vale pelo dinheiro gasto!
On Addiesdive the glass is mineral, I don't recommend you to try scratching it😅😅

@@ShortBetter im not really a watch guy but back in the day when i compare fossil,guess,esprit and tommy H. fossil has the most quality based on appearance and ive used 3 fossil watches theyre well made. i thought fossil was a common on peoples knowledge cause its one of the cheapest so i usually base comparison vs fosil. but you never had a fossil😆 anyways never had steeldive and addiesdive either id like to try them. since steeldive cost 130 to 150usd id try addiesdive which is 65 to 70usd😆
Yes, Steeldive and Addiesdive are better overall, I own some Fossil watches, and they are fine, but you get more bang for your buck with these Chinese homage brand watches, better specs and all.
Let's not forget the QC lottery, you may receive a faulty or a perfect one, it's a gamble but worth it!
Do u think i can fit a 28.5mm dial into the addiesdive?
I haven't tried to modify it, as they use miyota movement. But looks like 28,5 will fit, if you already have it can measure

The AddiesDive mechanical movement is much better. I believe it has a NH-35.

They are not fake, they are homages to the Rolex! As are many other brands out there. The Rolex design is not in any way protected, so it's a free market! Get rid of that snobbish attitude, dude! 😤
I've got some Steeldives as I'm never going to own the original Swiss watches. SD1979 is a homage to a Sqaule Atmos Swiss watch that costs USD$2000. SD1934T is a homage to a Rolex Explorer that costs USD$6000. SD1953 is a homage to a Rolex Submariner Date that costs USD$9000. Can only buy the Squale in a watch store from stock. Wait listed for Rolex. They all wear very well. Great designs. Very legible dials and hands. Japanese Seiko automatic movement is reliable but is not as accurate as a Swiss automatic movement. None are as accurate as either my quartz Japanese Casio or Swiss Olympic. Japanese automatics will be accurate to 2 minutes a month. Quartz watches will be accurate to 2 minutes a year. Swiss automatics will be accurate to 1 minute a month. Handy not to have to replace batteries every few years with an automatic. Wind then wear it to keep it going or wind it every other day if not wearing it regularly. Found accuracy isn't an issue with date automatics as you need to change the date most other months so check and set the time accurately to the second then. Nice having waterproof watches on steel bands not to replace like leather too. On homage watches, the Swiss make them too. See the Tissot Gentleman that's a Rolex Oyster homage. See the Longines Hydroconquest that's a Rolex Submariner homage. These are reasonably priced for Swiss automatics being similar prices to the Squale Atmos. Rolex are a brand first. Great watch designs. But you are paying for the Rolex brand over other great Swiss automatics. Rolex sponsor many top sports so have high costs for their brand. They've kept supply limited to keep income up by putting customers on wait lists. And prices have gone up with demand outstripping supply. They're a Velben good where their demand increases with price. At the end of the day a Rolex is a watch, like a Rolls Royce is a car. People are free to spend their money as suits them. If I had the money for either a Rolex or a Rolls Royce I don't know if I would buy one given the other things you could do with a lot of money. I would buy a Tissot or a Longines if I had enough money for a great watch but not Rolex to not buy the brand.
