Thanks for the feedback!
Awesome. I just started watching this. Looks like good bear country. Any sign of bear?
No bear sign, and I didn’t see any last time I was in Colorado either
Just found your channel and am enjoying your content. Have you ever found yourself in a low sugar state?
I tried the low fat diet but I was bicycling a lot and kept hitting the wall (bonking). The first time I almost blacked out as it came on so fast. Do to a cycling accident I’m trying backpacking while I’m off the bike. I’m thinking that maybe the caloric burn is lower than cycling and maybe low carb might work.
I haven’t. I do still eat carbs, usually in the form of fresh fruit off-trail and dried fruit on it, usually dates. I’ve also intentionally been keeping my workout intensity low. Phil Maffetone talks about the need to replenish carbs during long duration, high intensity events like races and has some recipes for race drinks in his Big Book of Endurance Training
