The Explicit Gospel sounds really good. I had to laugh about the knitting vampires series. 😂 What a funny combo!
@@insearchofwonder the title definitely drew me in! 😂
Matt Chandler has taught me so much over the past 2 decades. I love his heart. ♥️
Such a cute, happy puppy!
I've heard of several Kingfisher books, but I've never heard of Illuminations. It sounds really interesting. I may give that one a try.
@@Coffee_and_a_Book I replied to this yesterday but it isn’t here??!!
Poppy was extra cuddly because her Dysplasia was acting up. She is normally so busy she can’t be bothered to stay in the video!!
Illuminations, mage magic, and a wizards’ guide to defensive baking are all similar in feel- upper mg or young YA protagonists and all grow into their place and power and learn about themselves in the process.
@@novelideea YT is weird sometimes 😆 No worries!
The crow call sounds so interesting for the fall season, great reading month ☺️ Slowly catching up with your videos. My favorite read of July is Convenience Store Women!
@@Tinasmovinglibrary CSW was a good one! I wouldn’t recommend her Earthlings book though 🙄
My favorite is July was The Extraordinary deaths of Mrs. Kip.
I enjoyed seeing what you read.
@@CandlewickLibrary I read Mrs Kip last year and liked it❣️
Favorite book in July: The Lady’s Mine by Francine Rivers 🥰
@@robinkirk1821 what is it about?
My favorite book of July was Gift From the Sea by Anne Morrow Lindbergh, which was a book you recommended! I read the library copy and loved it so much that I bought my own copy. It really spoke to me. I plan on re-reading it at the start of every summer. Thank you for recommending this beautiful book.💜
@@jessicaw1839 isn’t it wonderful?! I’m so glad you enjoyed it!💞
My favorite read in July was The Long March Home by Marcus Brotherton and Tosca Lee. The Shardlake series is on my eventual tbr.
@@ThisLittleLightLife I’ll look up “Long March”! Thank you
@@novelideea You're welcome. It's a tough read but beautifully done.
❤❤❤

By the way John Howe is best known for his illustrations of Tolkein, he was one of the conceptional artists on the Lord of the Rings movies with Alan Lee. I have read the first Shardlake story and enjoyed it, I have another but its way out of order so I want to get the second one next.
@@hornbeam7131 oh! Thank you for the Howe info! That’s fascinating. The first two Shardlake have been my favorites! I’m on 5 but haven’t begun reading it quite yet.
Thanks for taking time to comment ♥️
illumination sounds so cute, is that the one in the same world with the baking one? I haven't read either yet, but they sound like they might be right for the moment.
Vampire Knitting! I know Kalanadi really liked those, have you see the other Bake Off one Warren has? Both look so cute.
Scritches to Poppy!
@@ReadBecca it is a similar vibe/age/ style to A Wizard’s Guide to Defensive Baking, & Minor Mage! They’re great. Light, funny, kids doing great things 🩷
I haven’t seen Warren’s other series. I do think I’m about ready for another cozy mystery though!
@@ReadBecca poppyseed thanks you most kindly for the 💗 love
I just started the Shardlake series and I'm still waiting for #2 to come in from the library. However, I loved the first one!
@@awebofstories it’s been my favorite so far, but I really enjoyed the second one! I just finished #4 and I’m excited to start #5 .
@@awebofstories I hope you enjoy it!
i've only so far read the first of the shardlake's and was a little worried hearing your take on the third until you said you were onto the fourth...i loved all the things about the first that you mentioned...i have the second book but i believe i put it someplace 'safe'..so i'm having some trouble locating it.
@@curioushmm9027 haha! They all are revealing of the darkness of that time but none of them have made me lose hope or feel the need to give up. I just finished book 4 yesterday & I still want to read on. 😅😊
@@curioushmm9027 Hope you find your “safe” place soon! 🤭
