    I really rate the Upol Gravitex. Remains flexible and you can add paint when applying to colour code etc. Just a small point on the front arch, those pitted lower sections on the bottom edge will most likely have rust in behind. Might be worth having them cut off and new metal welded in to save you hard graft going to waste.
    Great videos though and just shows what you can do in your garage!!

      Thanks buddy I was thinking about getting him to cut it out on both sides whilst he’s here 👍 couple of small bits to weld , I might invest in a welder and learn

    Black Raptor for underneath, really hard wearing, the colour match Raptor is a bit off so either stone chip and spray over with the red or keep it black, personal preference really

    Your doing a great job lad, it is hard work at first but you'll get there looking at your progress . Cheap guns are a waste off money but i do it for a living so don't there . Also keep your area your working in clean makes life so much easier .👍

    Quick tip one section at a time , brush prime as you go stops flash rust happening

    • @Tobyyjamess
      @Tobyyjamess  3 месяца назад

      Flash rust ??

    • @samcasey3788
      @samcasey3788 3 месяца назад

      Bare metal exposed starts to surface rust depending on moisture in air also brush seam sealer on over lap joints as primer sprayed never seals properly or brush the primer into the over lap also cover your head with hooded paint suit and face with vasolin helps keep over spray clinking to your face skin , try to keep gun at arms length to keep overspray out of your eyes

    • @samcasey3788
      @samcasey3788 3 месяца назад

      Also clean and seal rust on booth sides off repair to prevent rust from breathing (rusting again)

    Nice one fella looks proper nice and very thorough. That cars gonna be well sorted for many years .
    I never used a spray gun either . I actually bought myself a cheap streetka convertible that the lacquers a bit tatty on its not rusty so I’m gonna have a crack at it when the weathers better looks like great fun 👍

    I've watched all your videos so far mate, you seem to have an issue with the upload video quality? Even on your other videos which have the option for 1080p quality, they still look pretty pixelated on a larger screen.
