Brilliant vid dude car looks in pretty good shape it’s gonna be real nice 👌 I love Fiestas had a mk5 zetec s same colour bought it 9 months old back in the day it was no race car but boy it was a brilliant little daily I loved it .great vid look forward to the next 👍
We wanna see it all mate, just film it anyway even if it’s long. Good job. Make sure you get some rust treatment into the inside of the legs and any cavities you can’t get in to to sand
It’s actually not to bad considering age, I owned a black fiesta rs turbo J341 XRS I’m sure the reg was in 2000/2001 and I had to do a hell of a lot of welding to that even though at the time was roughly only 10yrs old.
Thanks mate still getting to grips with the whole filming process but I’ll get there I don’t feel like the quality of the videos are very good but I’ll try and improve them over time
Cracking job mate, not boring at all to watch quite the opposite! If I can give some small advice, this would be the time to weld anything for body reinforcement or even seam weld some sections. These cars flex like yoga masters, anything that mitigates it will be a huge improvement later.
I also used a good Xylene based red oxide primer on all the exposed metal. And please dont use raptor. Ok if it goes ok and nightmare if it doesn't stick, will come off in sheets. A good rubberized stone chip is a better way to go
Any good Xylene bast primer will do, really good stuff bud make sure it Xylene based 👍🏻, its what they used one tanks and the like has rust inhibitors in it to,
Shame not to remove all the sound deadening from the floor and spray the whole thing, will protect it for mother 30 years and you’ll never have it this stripped again. 👌🏼👍🏼
Looking good and cracking job on the welding. Looking forward to the next video
Thanks mate will try get other video out this weekend
That welding mask 👍🏼

ph down phosphoric acid, For rust worked wonders and will etch the metal to
Its what they put in etch primer 👍🏻
Thanks mate I’ll give that a search
