  • In the early 80s Lenny Breau was living in Portland, Maine, playing various clubs in that city as well as in his hometown of Auburn/Lewiston.
During this period, he held several seminars/masterclasses in Boston including the one presented here which took place at The Berklee School of Music in 1981. Lenny performed several tunes and fielded questions from the audience about his signature techniques.
We're presenting this masterclass in four parts. In this segment, Lenny plays Nardis and Days of Wine and Roses followed by a discussion of two of his signature techniques.
    1. Nardis
2.Days of Wine and Roses 05:08
    3. Technique Discussion 10:48

How precious this is...thank you so much Lenny, and the persons who recorded all theses "things", and you who posted this here.
    Thank you.
Lenny's discoverys are so important, but more than that, is the greatness of the love that made him make these discoverys, and manage to put them in real action, at this highest level of réalisation.
It takes infinite love and humility...🙏🧡🎶🌸

This channel delivers again, again, and again! Always love Lenny's renditions of Bill Evans associated tunes. I've said it before but it bears repeating: THANK YOU so much for the tireless work you put down to bring these gems to those of us who love Lenny. Greetings from Norway :)

it's great to hear Lenny playing Nardis. I wonder why he never played anything of Wayne Shorter that would have been awesome for sure.
