I’m extremely excited for the next couple months, I have started the process within my state to become a certified Pre-K teacher. As a mother of a 3 yr old it’s been a struggle handling school and keeping my lil active. Hi Jessica! Great video (as always-I watch all of your videos!) with LOTS of great finds! I likewise recently thrifted a black leather blazer that looks like it has hardly, if ever, been worn! I am not big on buying first-hand leather, but thrifted, that is a different story for me personally! I LOVE a good belt as well, and high waisted pants scream for belts (truly it is deafening!) and I have been listening! Most of the belts I thrift cost $1.99!. I think it is great that you are such an avid, die-hard thrifter! I also believe in reusing, sustainability, and treating our earth in the best way we can-thrifting does all three of those things! However, I also love thrifting because I am unable to work and try hard to watch ALL my pennies! I have been having SO much success at our local Goodwills on $1 Sundays! I am thrifting for my MIL and other family members as well! Honestly, there is not much I enjoy more than a good thrifting treasure hunt-so when I talk about thrifting to my friends, family, church and community folks, I do so because I believe it in so completely! I am so proud of my daughter especially, because she has three beautiful children who she dresses head to toe in thrifted finds...they look adorable and my daughter can then put money into life experiences and special trips that they share as a family! I have lost quite a bit of weight this past year (not trying!🤪) and needed an entire new wardrobe! I feel like people are so unaware of staying socially distant at thrift stores & it is always so stressful 😅 I recently moved out of my home state and with covid it has made it hard to see my family, so I am very thankful that I’ll be able to go home and see my fam for thanksgiving! 🥰
I have found myself so so very thankful for my friends and their intentionality (and FaceTime!). I graduated college in the spring of this year, but our campus closed in March so I didn't really have the opportunity to say my goodbyes to everyone. And then I moved cross-country with my parents to be closer to family at the end of summer. However, despite all of my friends being spread out all over and in different places in life, we still make an effort to talk and update each other. Although scheduling group calls over a few different time zones can get just a ~little~ confusing I am extremely grateful for those FaceTime dates, especially since it's so easy to feel isolated and alone. I am beyond blessed to have friends who check in on me, and who I can talk to & laugh with for hours over the silliest things. What I love most about thrifting are the treasure hunt aspect and the styling challenges. It's about the adventure, the feeling and rush of happiness you get from finding this one piece you had in mind or even finding a piece you love and that will challenge your fashion senses. I just love how happy thrifting makes me. It helped me a lot to elevate my style but to also help me love my body and accept it as it is. If you are reading this and having a bad day I hope you know that you are GORGEOUS. Your body is perfect and girl you are killing it. For the last few weeks, I have been working on getting things done and moving forward with my life. I think I finally figured out how to get to the bottom of each of my to-do lists and achieving some of my goals step by step. I think everybody's been feeling quite tense this year, myself included. I live in France, which just started its second lockdown this year, and it's kind of a bummer. After staying at my bf's parents' house for the first lockdown+the whole summer, I was kind of happy to get back to my life. I started my school year off well. I finally started to love what I was doing (a masters degree in management), I was keeping up with homework, I was working out and eating better... The number of cases here started to increase quickly so the country went back on lockdown, mostly affecting uni students. It's been two weeks since this lockdown has started and I'm more exhausted than I'd like to admit. I have so many group projects due these coming weeks that all have to be done online, I haven't been home to the Philippines since Aug 2019, which is the longest I've haven't gone back, and I'm stressed about money. However, I know I'm far from living a bad situation. I get to live in an amazing country I know a lot of Filipinos don't get a chance to ever go to. I'm confined with my boyfriend and our cat (we don't normally live in the same city). I'm still grateful for so many things. My family is safe and healthy, my bf's family has been so generous with me (lodging me for almost 6 months for free), my request to renew my residency card in France was renewed (I can legally stay till dec 2022!), and the French healthcare system. My doctor's consultation last week only cost 25€ and the vaccine I needed only cost 43€ instead of 117€. Thank you for sharing your quality content Jess! I've been subscribed for years. I've loved seeing another Filipino, who enjoys thrifting and had a similar body shape as me. Keep up the good work

I'm so exited to start my new job tomorrow. I've been looking for a job for the last 4 months and didn't even get a call. Last week got to go to a job interview, and an hour later they called to tell me I got the job! 🎉🎉🎉 I can't wait to start this new chapter in my life. 😊💖

I love this video! Ive just started getting back into thrifting lately and feeling safe and comfortable! I def recommend people to get tide spray or disinfectant spray and spray their thrift finds as soon as they get to their car! Also my handle is hipppiebaby

I love thrifting because it’s such a cool way to give clothes new life. I also find it so much more fulfilling to find a great item when I know it’s unique.

I think everybody's been feeling quite tense this year, myself included. I live in France, which just started its second lockdown this year, and it's kind of a bummer. After staying at my bf's parents' house for the first lockdown+the whole summer, I was kind of happy to get back to my life. I started my school year off well. I finally started to love what I was doing (a masters degree in management), I was keeping up with homework, I was working out and eating better... The number of cases here started to increase quickly so the country went back on lockdown, mostly affecting uni students. It's been two weeks since this lockdown has started and I'm more exhausted than I'd like to admit. I have so many group projects due these coming weeks that all have to be done online, I haven't been home to the Philippines since Aug 2019, which is the longest I've haven't gone back, and I'm stressed about money.
However, I know I'm far from living a bad situation. I get to live in an amazing country I know a lot of Filipinos don't get a chance to ever go to. I'm confined with my boyfriend and our cat (we don't normally live in the same city). I'm still grateful for so many things. My family is safe and healthy, my bf's family has been so generous with me (lodging me for almost 6 months for free), my request to renew my residency card in France was renewed (I can legally stay till dec 2022!), and the French healthcare system. My doctor's consultation last week only cost 25€ and the vaccine I needed only cost 43€ instead of 117€.

I wish we had thrift stores like this in my area. I live in a very small town of like 500 people and the “cities” to the north and south of me have very little thrift stores and if they do they are mostly older people clothes

I'm so grateful & happy that we were all asymptomatic only one having shown the symptoms which to my glee got through it. During our recovery, i would just binge watch thrift hauls & thriftwithme's.
