I actually downgraded from oxygen os 12 beta version to oxygen os 10 on my OP7. There is a huge difference in performance, battery life, the haptics feel so good and premium, the UI was sooooo smooth and stock android. I will never update my OP7 to oxygen os 11 or 12.
I have never upgraded to android 11 in first place itself.. Last update i did was in March 2020. I have one query. If I do factory reset then will the phone automatically install android 11.0.8 or will remain in android 10.. I generally factory reset my phone every 1.5 years for faster performance but I don't want os 11 or 12 when I reset.
I also downgraded from 12 to 9.5.1 It is running smooth and battery backup is really really good...should I update to os 10?? Is os 10 don't have battery drain issue? If it doesn't have than which version should I update?
@@IrfanSumaro I get around 6 hrs SOT with android 10 which I am happy.. Only bug which concerns me is when I turn ON location then Bluetooth automatically turns ON. I have another phone for gps so I don't much care about this issue.
Nice! You can also use a USB HUB and charge the same time when on OS 10 in OP7.. Newer versions don't let you use a USB hub while charging the phone at the same time due to their stupid kernal they implemented. Great video thank you.

Thanks this worked for me as of today. Oneplus purposefully broke the phone with the android 12 update. Instead of issuing a downgrade though the phone, they posted on their forums which 1% of users are active. Trash company and trash behavior.

@@gixxerman1128 I was on Android 12. I don't know exactly which one. I think it was a beta. I got it through some side app that wasn't an official update for my phone. It messed up my brightness. Phone would be on full brightness no matter how I adjusted it. Some other annoying bugs that I don't really remember.

I'm on Mint Mobile so it seems like if you're on any Verizon based service it stops working. T-Mobile and ATT seem to still work fine 🤷🏿♂️

Not sure if anyone is having this but i have a OnePlus 7 with oxygen OS12.1, i have downloaded both the zip file however whenever i try to first open the local update it asks me to extract to the parent folder and even if i select the .ota folder it says opening file preview. And nothing happens. Im not a tech person but need guidance on this please

@@Ronnieshiv sorry to hear man. I managed to downgrade to os 11 and I'm never going to upgrade it again. There's also custom roms if you want to try as far as i know paranoid android has great stability and performance and if i remember correctly it's also available for the oneplus 9

@@daniengelsman2461 Mate i fixed it. Get a package of OOS 10. Download and install it with local system update app. After you'll have OOS10 system will offer you factory oos11. Let me know news.

@@finikitometal It looks like we can't downgrade to 11. Instead do to 10. And then upgrade to 11. Oxygen os 10 was possible for me.
