You're 100% correct! The difference in sidecut radius is actually what provides a steeper activation angle on the toes and a lower activation angle on the heel. It's worth mentioning that the core is also asymmetrical with a softer flex on the heelside. Cheers Jon!
@Bobby Chadderton Thanks! For someone like me (5ft 11in, 165-170 lbs, and a 10.5 shoe size) you think a 157.5 might be good? Or maybe the 154.5 as well?
Hey Odi! Alex, snowboard expert @ Curated.com ( www.curated.com/experts/alex.v ) - to answer your question, the Yes Typo doesn't have the asymmetrical sidecut that the Gnu Riders choice has - overall, the Rider's Choice is a bit more high-performing in my opinion. Hmu thru my profile link above if you have any more questions! 🤙
Hey Saw! Alex here, snowboard expert @ Curated.com ( www.curated.com/experts/alex.v ) - to answer your question - it definitely got inspiration from that model! 🤘 Hmu on my profile if you want to chat!
@@Curatedcom i bought a essential service board and found it to be too stiff for my mess around board and since I already have a powder/free ride board I’m selling it. Ordered a Salomon craft to pair with my Salomon super 8.
Hey J E! It's Alex, snowboard expert @ Curated.com ( www.curated.com/experts/alex.v ) - to answer your question - I think the Rider's Choice would do OKAY on big jumps but I might steer you towards something stiffer and more camber dominant to get the best pop and stability if that's what you want to focus on! Hmu thru my profile link above if you have any more questions! 🤙 I'm usually pretty quick to respond!
Do not buy this board for buttering, it sucks. It has hard flex and these new modern C2X shapes are simply traditional camber which is not ok for buttering as well

Bevel would refer to the angle that the edge is ground at. I think he means that it has a different sidecut radius for the toe and heel edge.

For comparison, what size boards were reviewed here and what were the rider specs (height/weight)? Thanks!

@Bobby Chadderton Awesome. Thanks for the really helpful advice!
@Bobby Chadderton I was looking at the 158W (268mm waist), do you think with a 10.5, that wouldn't be too wide and wouldn't be too hard to maneuver?
5’10” 190 here 157.5 and it feels mint for its purpose (all mountain)
This is my favorite board to rip the whole mountain.
Hey! Could you compare GNU Riders Choice to YES Typo? Which one will be better for beginner-intermediate?

Looks like a lot like the 2014 space case. Rebranded pro model?

Is there a goofy or regular version of this board, or are they all the same?

@@GStudiosStopmotion honest answer, yes. And yes, this board suck compared to DC PBJ which is a cheap board for begginers.
