- After summiting Kilimanjaro, we descended the mountain in a rapid day and a half, showered up, got one night of good rest, and immediately hopped on a single-prop plane at the Arusha airport to the Serengeti! We're so stoked to go on our first safari EVER! Immediately after hopping in our Land Cruiser that will be taking us all over Tanzania over the next three days, we start seeing wildlife. Heck, we almost hit wildlife while landing on the dirt landing strip. Giraffes, wildebeests, lions, leopards, elephants, zebras...we see it ALL on today's cruise through the Serengeti! We even stay the night deep in the Central Seregeti at the Kilima Valley Tented Camp, where we enjoy warm showers, hot food, and the best sleep of our lives.

I'm so happy that you guys take video with and talk about the locals and guides because without them you wouldn't be able to be there. Not everyone does that, some people only take pictures of themselves, the animals, and the view as if the people don't exist. the people are apart of those countries just as much as anything else there. ❤️

I legit would have geeked out in front of the plane too! I’ve loved planes since I was little especially little ones and fun fact wanted to be like Amelia Earhart when a kid and that evolved with a desire to do missionary work in Africa doing plane “care drops” of supplies!

Yoυ have it right! Now this is how you see the wild, in their natural habitat. Fingers crossed you see the Black Rhino 🤞🏼 If you can make a trip to South Africa (Kruger National Park) you might just get a glimps of the White Rhino too. Can you tell my heart is still in Africa!! Enjoy 😃

(There’s always National Geographic - even though yours is better- for animal stuff- I just wish we could see what it’s like to travel- highs and lows without all the giggles at every turn. LOVE the positivity!!! Just starting to wonder....)

Why do we say king of the jungle? Jungle's are tropical and lush, lions don't live in jungles. They live out on the plains of Africa...food for thought. 🤔
