- In a controversial move, former Madhya Pradesh High Court judge Justice Rohit Arya joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which has been the ruling party in the State for most of the last two decades.
The propriety of this move has been called into question, given that judges are required to be free from ideological bias, political or otherwise.
And in this interview with Bar & Bench's Ratna Singh, Justice Arya admits that his 'philosophy for common good' has always been in line with the BJP's ideals.

Now that he has joined a political party post his retirement, let the word "Justice" not be prefixed before his name.
Well, Mr. Rohit Arya, was he propagating the bjp philosophy from the bench as well !?!?!? His move it wrong & it smacks of opportunism in his approach & attitude. Hence, CONDEMNABLE.
Judges should be BARRED from joining Politics in the interest of justice & national interest. And if they are so keen to join politics, then let them not join Judiciary.
People in the comment section are fool. A doctor, a lawyer and the other specimens of law never really retire ,for their profession is as such. Justice Rohit Arya can use the word "justice" before his name as any other judge does, e.g. justice ranjan gogoi. Fools don't dp timepass on youtube. JUSTICE Rohit Arya isn't listening you.
