  • We seriously will never have enough words to truly thank you for what you have done for us in the past week, what you will continue to do throughout the next week before our ultrasound, and next 4 months before our baby boy is here. Every prayer is felt, and so so so appreciated. Every prayer you pray over our baby boy is a part of this miracle, just so you know. Keep praying, friends. But we BELIEVE the victory is already here.
We hope this video encourages your faith, and makes you believe in the power of prayer. I can't wait to update you on what they see (or don't see) on the Ultrasound October 9th.

I will pray for you and pray to give you and your baby strength to get through this. I live in Minnesota and there’s an amazing doctor that specializes in SB. If u r even near MN I recommend him!

Regardless, they have the right attitude and frame of mind to be given such news .... as a mother myself, seeing her faith give her strength through this difficult time is HUGE. And her entire message if you were listening.... she says... she knows this baby is a GIFT from God, walking, not walking, whatever the case may be. But way to crush someone’s spirits when she simply has an amazing attitude about it. She can wallow and complain, but instead she is showcasing the silver lining in her faith and in her beliefs. Why can’t we praise people and support instead of negatively talk about what might/might not happen. I just don’t understand the negativity and why it’s so necessary. I get these are everyone’s opinions, like myself included, but cut this girl a break. Religion aside, can’t we all agree she has atleast a smile on her face given the news she just received. That is amazing and her positivity will reflect on to others!

As both a mother and someone who has worked very closely with children and adults with disabilities, I find this so off putting. As parents of course we want our children to be perfect and struggle little, but perfect is different for everyone. Every single human is a miracle, whether they are "perfect" by societies standards or perfect in their own unique way. So in a week, when the diagnosis shows nothing has changed bc spina bifida forms in the first month of pregnancy, what will you say then after this video? Is your child less perfect then? If he doesnt get "this victory of healing", is he a failure now and less than? I say absolutely not but your video portrays that he would be. It's a very negative message to put out onto your platform that any disabled child out there didnt get enough prayers, faith, healing, or love. That's ridiculous. And as a raised catholic, it's always been my biggest struggle with religion. As a nurse and someone who sees miracles, but also plain old science and human nature happen, you cant call a healing a miracle and someone not healed less than. You know how many parents have prayed just as hard but their babies are with Jesus now? Were their kids not miracles or worthy?!
You can have all the faith you want, but proclaiming a victory without the evidence and talking as if only a victory of healing will make this child perfect is just beyond sad for the child. I also understand the stages of grief and I honestly feel the denial stage is happening. I will pray for YOU BOTH that your faith will allow you to see this child as perfect regardless of how he comes into this world and I will pray for your son that he never feel is a failure or unworthy of gods love. And that he never sees this video bc if he born with SB, this video will destroy him.

We are his children and he feels our pain the same way we feel our own pain. It hurts him when we are in pain or experiencing trauma. We had the exact same problem. Both my husband and I were raised in strongly Christian households, and continue with those beliefs to this day. However, when we received the initial “something looks off” diagnosis all of our Christian community assured us of his healing and that God would handle it.
We’ve been blessed. My son is a miracle. But it doesn’t work the way everyone is leading them to believe, and it’s going to hurt their hearts more in the long end. I’ll be praying for peace when they go for evaluations. It’s gonna be a tough day.

We received the same devastating news at our 20 week anatomy scan. We had to wait all weekend to meet with the high risk doctor for the confirmation. People all over the country and in our community prayed for us relentlessly that our baby boy would be healed. He was not and our worst fears were confirmed. We also prayed relentlessly that we would be approved for fetal surgery and that our baby boy would only have a small scar when he was born with minimal spina bifida symptoms. We were approved for fetal surgery and had the surgery, only to discover that after surgery our babys incision had busted back open at some point in my womb requiring him to have a second back surgery when he was born and a shunt placed day 4 of his life. He also cant move his legs very well. God is still good and faithful despite these earthly trials. We exist to give God glory and point people back to him and I know that God has received so much glory through my son's journey. Prayer is so powerful and we always pray expectantly, but we are also mindful that God may not choose to answer our prayers the way we want him to. I am praying that God heals your baby because we know that he is the ultimate healer and miracle worker, but just know that if he doesnt, he has a bigger plan! Spina bifida babies are such a blessing and I wouldn't have my son any other way! This verse helped me and my husband through our difficult journey:
His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.

After saying this, he spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes. “Go,” he told him, “wash in the Pool of Siloam” (this word means “Sent”). So the man went and washed, and came home seeing.

When a child is born with disabilities you have to change your expectations and dreams to fit your child. God has chosen you as their parent for a reason. If he had been born to people who were not religious or to those who wouldn’t treat him well or love him for who he is, he wouldn’t have a good life. But why not me? What makes me better than any other person that someone else should feel this pain.
Almost nine years later I am married to the most Godly loving man. He has raised and loved my son as his own. I have a beautiful almost 6 year old daughter.
Life is BEAUTIFUL when you walk the path through hardships.

Maybe God’s miracle is giving you a perfect son who happens to have Spina Bifida. One day your son may watch these videos and he’s going to see that you were praying for him to be different. Maybe your prayers shouldn’t be for healing but for the strength and wisdom to be at peace with Spina Bifida, which will likely be such a small part of his life compared to everything he will bring into the world.
As parents, we want the journey in life for our child/children to be with as few bumps as possible. We don’t want to see them struggle. We wish we could feel their pain instead of them. We also need to accept them completely.
This baby is already a perfect miracle. Sometimes we have to rethink what perfect means ♥️

I truly understand how you’re feeling right now and yes the power of prayer is AMAZING!! However, God makes no mistakes. If he has blessed you with a special child then he believes you are capable of caring for that baby. It took me a long time to accept that as well. Spina Bifida is formed within the first 3-4 weeks of pregnancy.. if it was going to be healed it would have by now. Stay strong and keep your faith because disabilities or not- your baby is a gift in anyway that he comes.

CasslbXO or He may have truly healed their baby. Everyone is trying to put doubt in their hearts. What's the point in faith in a God that's capable of anything if people are going to put limitations on what he can do? He may choose not to heal 1000 babies and then choose to heal 1. It's not our place to question why.

@@nicholefrank6770 its also unrealistic to put faith in that the baby is healed then go to the ultra sound and he isnt and be let down that he is still disabled. It is better to be real and face that he is disabled and start being as informed and ready as possible. and she is right, the SB is formed by the 8 to 10 week range and if it was going to be healed it would have by now. it is time to face that there will be challenges and be ready for them. and this is from the mother of a child with spina bifida. it isnt about doubt it is about being realistic.

I have a birth defect. I don’t want any child to be born with a defect. I am a Christian. Using the word victory in this context is pretty disrespectful. This whole “conquering disability “ mindset is incredibly hurtful and manipulative. I believe in prayer. But saying a child not having a defect is a victory suggests having a disability is a failure. Please think about your platform. Lots of young adults with defects struggle with guilt and feelings of failure from not living up to this image of “conquering disability”.

I don't usually comment on videos, but I totally agree. When I watch this I get really upset because just because you don't like the diagnosis you got, doesn't mean it will magically go away. A child with a disability is not a death sentence. Yes, it means there will be more health issues, but it makes them special in their own way. I strongly feel that I wouldn't be the same without my disability, yes its been hard, but it makes me me.

    • @HannahMadison

mscindyruth I agree.. I heard a podcast talking about how “declaring/proclaiming” in Jesus’ name or “speaking it into existence” is basically us trying to make ourselves “little gods”. I believe without a doubt that there is power in prayer and that God is alive and moving and still has the ability to heal, but putting so much emphasis on “already knowing” that the baby is healed just feels off to me.. I am a Christian myself. The Bible warns so much about not being deceived and I feel like this is just as dangerous as the prosperity gospel, like you said. There is some truth taken out of context. God hears our prayers and no matter what a miracle will happen, but as others have already said, perhaps that miracle is how this family will impact the lives of other families with babies/children with disabilities. I pray for a healthy pregnancy and delivery and I know that they will honor God in a complete healing or whether the baby lives with Spina Bifida.

    • @CrimsonRoseDancer

I think it’s incredibly disrespectful to tell them during this very difficult time that they are wrong for wanting healing for their baby because no parent would want their newborn to undergo surgeries right after birth. It doesn’t mean their baby is a failure for having disabilities but they have every right to approach this in whatever why they can handle. Think about your own platform. They are struggling and scared and you’ve just made a comment designed to make them feel guilty. Not what they need from their brothers and sisters right now. I have no doubt that no matter the condition of their baby, he will be loved and cherished. Having disabilities yourself you should understand, wouldn’t your parents have wanted more than anything to prevent your struggles? You aren’t a failure but parents don’t want pain for their children. Pray for them. Don’t criticize them.

    • @cassiehunt2686
      @cassiehunt2686 4 года назад +2

Tina W I have no issue with the hope for healing, simply the word “victory”. Of course parents don’t want pain for their child. They also chose to have a public platform with over 37k subscribers. But I also fully believe the life of a Christian is to submit to the will of God regardless of it seems “victorious”. They chose to use those words. Many of us have spent our entire lives being shamed out of churches under this guise of victory. It’s a dangerous mindset both for those of us with disabilities, our families, and those who God may choose to allow their child to have a disability.

    • @CrimsonRoseDancer
      @CrimsonRoseDancer 4 года назад +5

Cassie Hunt Cassie Hunt If you’ve ever been shamed out of church for a disability then there was a major malfunction in that church. Never in all my life of church going have I ever witnessed that in regards to any disability. I believe in my heart that when they are claiming victory in this case that it is more of a declaration of faith that God can do all things. Even if it is Gods will for this family to endure this hardship it is not a failure and I don’t believe they feel that way. All I am saying is during this difficult time when what they need is love and prayer, your comment was designed to elicit guilt for how they are handling it. Not a great approach for anyone to take. They need to be able to process this in whatever way works for them. If you don’t agree with it you have just as much right not to watch them but you took the approach of shaming instead which will only cause them more stress. This was meant as a positive post about faith. Just because they have a channel with a large following is not an excuse for us to forget how we should treat others.

I see so many people basically saying “they don’t want a baby with a disability” “or they think less of babies with a disability” and so on, no it’s not. Something similar happened to my family, we prayed and prayed for a miracle and in the Bible it says “if you have faith you can move mountains.” We had so much faith and trust and that same moment we were praying a miracle happened to my family and that is why i trust God. Sometimes all he wants is for us to have faith. And to trust him. Obviously they won’t love their baby any less if the baby still has SB. I know if i had a baby who had SB i would pray and ask for a miracle because no parents wants a Risky pregnancy, but even though my baby had SB after praying, i would thank God for giving me a miracle baby. God is amazing and he knows why this is happening. Maybe they don’t know it yet but who knows, maybe their baby will be born healthy so people can see how amazing God is. I'm a minister and the tone of this is really off-putting. You are essentially saying that God can ONLY do miracles if your baby doesn't have Spina Bifida. Sometimes when we pray for healing, God heals us by taking us home. Sometimes when we pray for healing, God heals our hearts but not our bodies. Sometimes when we pray for healing, God intends to use us to heal someone else. Paul had a thorn in the flesh and it was that very thing that allowed him to be effective in ministry. You don't know what God is doing and it is completely sinful to presume that you do. One day your child may watch these videos. Do you want him to know that you only wanted him if he was perfect as you define perfection? I'm sad for this child.

Iv'e been anointed with oil, and felt the same intense heat you are talking about, and I've been healed. I believe it to be the Holy Spirit working. I took an antibiotic in 2010 called Cipro, that caused multiple spontaneous tendon and ligament ruptures. I had 23 surgeries following to repair damage to my joints and spine. I was given several miracles and countless blessings. The ruptures were happening every few weeks and I was anointed with oil at my church by two ministers. I can't even remember what they said during the anointing because I personally was praying so hard. I felt the Holy Spirit there with us. When it was over I thanked God for blessing me. I didn't know what He'd done yet. The next day my 8 year old son told me he's had a dream overnight, that God spoke to him. God told him, I'm going to heal your mom, but you will have to be patient. It will take a long time." After that he saw me hiking and fishing and having a snowball fight with him. From that day on, the spontaneous tearing and ruptures stopped. That was 7 years ago. I also was told by both ministers, that they'd never felt the presence of the Holy Spirit so strong as they had felt it during that anointing. It was so amazing that we all were blessed with that experience. I have still had to endure the damage that had already been done, but God stopped the progression that day. I've been able to do light hiking since then, and even swim and snorkel. Sometimes God doesn't work exactly like we picture, but He is a God of miracles and He is able to do exceeding abundantly more than we can fathom. I will keep praying for your precious baby boy. I know there is a miracle in this. Keep sharing your blessings. We must never stop praising God. He is always only good.

Coming from someone who had debilitating health issues growing up, there’s NOTHING wrong with praying for a healthy baby and believing in a healing for your child! YES the baby is a blessing either way and she never said otherwise, but everyone wants their child to be healthy. A child is not any less for having a sickness or disability, but the truth is it was hard for not only me, but also my mother for her to have to watch how sick I was and how I couldn’t do everything the other kids did. It was also hard for me to not experience things the “normal” way. She prayed every day for me that God would heal me and help me. She still loved me. She still thinks I’m a miracle and a blessing, but wants me to live the fullest and best life possible with full health. No parent wants to watch their kid have to go through health struggles and no child really wants them either. Pray away girl! God healed me and I know he can heal your baby too. On my mom's 60th birthday my sister called me. She said the basby had a cleft lip & palate. The next words were the doctors say she has holes in her heart & downs. I told her that the baby would live. No holes in her heart or downs. I was positive God would not give me the dream if that baby wasn't to be okay. Of course there were plenty of prayers. Even though she had a cleft lip & palate she was so adorable. It has been 22 years since that day & now that precious baby, I got to take care of will be a momma in about 60 days. A boy, too. I am a Christian and you can believe in healing. I do. But you also may endure trials that God puts on you. Your child may still have a spinal disorder. You have to be ok with that. At least God gave you the blessing of a child. You should still be happy and thankful either way. God does not always heal everything. Sometimes things happen to save others, or maybe having a child with a spinal issue is a part of your testimony

I pray for the best for this little baby, so that he can take his challenges and turn them into blessings. This month is spina bifida month every body wear your yellow 💛🙏🏻😇♿️

Piper Anderson spina bifida is something I know about. I am being realistic. There is no cure for it. I know what I am talking about. I have dealt with it my whole life. I really don’t think they need to get their hopes up. It is spina bifida. All of you who are talking about miracles need to look it up. I believe in healing but this is something completely different.

i get that it “can’t be healed”. but we are talking about GOD here. not man, not doctors, or anything on earth. we are talking about The Creator. The One who performed many miracles, died and rose again for our sins, caused a blind man to see. Prayer is so powerful and so is God. God knows what is best and whether it be to fully heal this child or to spare this burden upon him, He knows this couple can handle it. and they are praising Him even in this time of struggle.

Im going to continue to pray for yall. And i think its so cool that people can be healed like this. My friend, lets call her Ashley, at camp, her knee was in so much pain she had to sit down for half of the time they were singing songs. During one of the songs, she told me that a random lady (older than Ashley) came up to her and asked her if her knee hurt (my friend didnt tell anyone her knee hurt besides me) and she was shocked but said yes. So the lady prayed over her knee and afterwards Ashley said that it tingled and it felt 100% better! It was so cool and i just love hearing powerful stories like this. Sending love

Victory doesn’t = getting a miracle or getting healed... you still have the victory in Christ, even with a child being born with a disability.
Victory is found in Christ, not in being healed of having a disability. “In this world you will have many trials, but take heart for I (Christ) have overcome the world.”
God does perform miracles= i was born with Spina Bifida (myelomeningocele) when there was no in utero surgery available. I was never expected to walk, but I do! I still have Spina Bifida, but I also still have the victory in Christ!
I will be praying for you guys and the baby, believing this baby can be fully healed. However, I pray that God would reveal himself through all of this, in ways you can’t even begin to imagine. Where we lack in this life, God wants to fill us with more of himself!
“...and what if trials of this life, are Your mercies in disguise.” -Blessings, Laura Story ❤️

You literally have the best comment on here! Let them exercise their faith in God, we don't know how this experience will even more elevate them in their walk with Christ. Like you said, you have spina bifeda and from what you described you are most definitely healed! Healing is not a cure, it is the absence of the ailment or negative side effects of a disease or disorder. God bless you!

Sometimes the miracle is a change in perspective. It is totally not impossible for the same God who created the baby to use this story to display His power in miracle healing.
But please know God is not a vending machine. He is unstoppable.May your will be to accept His will no matter what suffering comes your way. His son suffered for us. Our suffering sanctifies us more to His image. We are not sanctified without suffering.

I really hope that God does heal your baby. Don’t get me wrong, I believe that He’s more then capable of it. But, remember we cannot tell God what to do. We can’t demand. It has to be according to His will.
Now I come from the same church you do. I had a baby, full term. Born with many complications and was on life support. I had countless people tell me the visions they had, the prayers I had to pray, telling God that He needs to heal my baby. Claiming it, speaking it to being, etc. I did it all. I had so much faith. I did not allow doctors to speak as much as I could, around him. I had people worldwide praying. We all believed. But in the end, after pulling life support after a long court battle we lost, I spoke life as they pulled the tubes, I spoke healing right in front of everybody. But my baby was already with Jesus. It was not in His will for me to have him. That’s hard. That’s a hard truth. It ripped my foundation out from my feet. Now after searching, seeking counseling from wise theologians, and really looking at the bible, God does what He does because it’s His will, if not He doesn’t. I prayed and asked (more like screamed) God why?! I believed! I had faith! I spoke it!
    His response: trust me.
That’s it. So simple. Now I had to. I don’t know why. But I know He loves me, and I need to listen. He’s helped mend my heart, spirit and faith. So what I’m saying is yes God is completely able to heal your baby! And I really hope He does!!! I’m praying that!! But according to His will only.
No matter what happens remember Gods in control, He loves you!

Rebecka may well said, you can have all of the faith in the world but it is Gods will. HIS will be done...I’ve had 4 miscarriages with the most recent one being March 2019, i was in a bad place financially and mentally and now I’m in a better place so I’m praying that God makes a way for me to have my rainbow baby when he feels I am ready to.

I’m so sorry for your loss but I so appreciate your testimony. That no matter what happens, no matter what trials we may face or hardships come our way, no matter how shattered our hearts feel, God is always in control and we are always to trust in him and his perfect plan for our life and the lives of those around us. I can’t begin to imagine the strength and grace it took/takes for you to still give glory to God after losing a child but even that is a testimony to your faith in his plan and unfailing love. Thank you for your comment even though I’m so sorry for what you had to go through. Prayers🙏🏻

I just want to say they are not in denial. They are just speaking their truth and what they believe. God is working in them through this situation and taking them on a journey. Now it seems like that journey is on the road to healing which is amazing, but if it turns out to be not that it's still on the journey that God wanted. This is only the second RUclips video that I've watch of hers but I can say that even if their son did have spina bifida they would love him just the same. They are on a journey so please respect them as it is *their* journey-between them and God. The fact that we are a part of witnessing it is a privilege ❤️

It’s okay to hope for the best and want things for your baby to change but honestly think the best think you both can do is prepare yourselves for the possibility that you baby may very well have SB and that is not the worst thing in life. The baby can still live a happy/normal life. I feel like if your 100% sure the baby is “healed” your setting yourself up for devastation again.
