Vegana Fit I’ve gotten so much criticism from family members because of my choice to thrift my nursery but it’s SO fun and I love hunting for pieces and revamping them 😭💕
@@cozyaholic SMH....you do what you think is best! Thank you for thrifting your nursery! I think you're a smart young woman and it's much smarter to save money as you are, and put the money elsewhere. My first 3 nurseries were in rented apartments/homes. When we had our last, I didn't spend a lot either....in fact I got our crib back we purchased for our first born!! It was a quality crib, but if I had it to do over again, I wouldn't have spent the money on it.....although I will admit I was THRILLED to get the crib back that our other kids had slept in!
The most expensive part of having a baby for us personally, is the medical bills. We were given cloth diapers, we are using cloth wipes, I'm praying that breast feeding works out for us, and we are thrifting everything or people are gifting us stuff! We will probabaly only spend about $500 or less on baby stuff.
You are such a breath of freah air! I love how real, and down to earth you are. You are so right about not spending $$ on brand new, brand name, trendy things. This is beautiful! You did such a great job! You are one smart mama!
Absolutely Wonderful and YES, this can be on Pinterest. I love the fact that you showed we can have a wonderful nursery and the baby can have everything he needs without breaking a bank. And buy 2nd hand items is better for the planet too so THANK YOU SO MUCH, love it !
This is by far the best nursery I've seen, I love the plants it just pulls it all together, making it a Serene and comfortable place. And I love his name and the meaning of it too. He a handsome Lil guy!
I love this video and it couldnt come at a better time. I'm 32 weeks pregnant and still working on the decor in the nursery. It's hard to be minimalist and simplistic in a world that pushes people to be the same, to buy buy buy stuff and to over consume! My absolute favorite part or my nursery is the dresser/vanity. It is a solid cherry wood dresser with a huge mirror that I'm using as the changing area as well. It has been in my family for 4 generations and was left to me buy my dear grandmother last year when she passed! Sending my prayers to you and your family❤
I think it's great the way you did your nursery. Spending cost effectively is not done by many now adays, and that's why you have a bunch of people who are up to their eyeballs in debt. I spend very frugally myself, sales, discounts, flea markets, and you're correct, it allows you then to use the money elsewhere, where it's a necessity or save it.
Absolutely love your nursery! Everything goes so well together. And reusing things is the best. As babies grow out of things so fast. So I'm all about thrifty ideas.
I love thrifting & repurposing things!! I will admit, I do look to Pinterest for inspiration a lot... if I do buy new, I look for good deals. But i refuse to spend hundreds of dollars on things that aren’t permanent. Plus, furniture now a days isn’t as sturdy as it once was, unless you wanna fork out a lot of money... so repurposing older furniture for new uses, or a complete remodel of it, it’s so rewarding! Love your nursery :) it’s very serene.
Oh my goodness what an amazing space. You are such a wise woman. And seeing little man close to your momma heart while talking to us made my heart so happy
Totally love the message behind this. My husband and I did the same with our sons room when he was born and his toddler room recently for his first birthday. It’s so important to reuse and use less waste and honestly so much smarter to thrift. The room is gorgeous too! Love your channel girl!💖
I absolutely love the style of his nursery!! I feel like it’ll also be easy to transform into his other stages of life! 💙 please do a full house tour!!
I LOVE Azariah’s nursery! You guys did an AWESOME job and on a budget. I love the wooden toys best! I’m never thought to get those treasures from a thrift store. I would probably spend full price in an online store. Thank you for sharing this with us all. You and Craig are amazing parents❤️🙏🏻
Love everything you have done with the nursery! Very creative and beautiful! I love thrifting. There is no need to spend a fortune on things. Fantastic job!
It turned out so beautiful! Our nursery is at least half thrifted too and I think it makes the room so much more personal and unique! Can’t wait until baby boy comes along to enjoy it with us 😍
I love the intention you have in what you do! I agree that spending thousands of dollars / spending in excess doesn’t get us much further than just worshipping what we get. The nursery is gorgeous!!
Everything is so beautiful and fresh looking. Your whole home is so precious and welcoming. Just the right environment for your brand new family ! Nesting peace to you all . Blessings from California. 🏡 🎠 🏰
a beautifully, calming, yet peaceful room! ❤️ Absolutely love what you said as well "Not everything has to break the bank to be what you want" Couldn't agree more! As well as being a firm believer that money doesn't buy happiness. 😀 All of my children's rooms and play room is thrifted as well as their clothes. I thrift for myself also. I should say I always thrift for everything in between for our home also. All about saving that extra $1! I've grown up all my life that way. Hope you're all doing well including the fur babies! Have a great blessed week! 😀
I plan on doing this too, gradually. So fun to hunt and go to all the different thrift stores and there are lots of good clothes and furniture/decor if you are patient and not too specific!
Lexie, I absolutely love your playlist for birth. I literally put it on every night as I sleep and it just ministers to me so much. Thank you for sharing with all of us. Love the nursery tour. You did so amazing decorating it.
I like that you stayed true to yourself and not be extra and spent alot....its some homie, calm, cute💙🤗💛...i love the thrift store especially on $1 sunday...my goodwill(everything is a $1!!!)
Everything in my baby nursery is also thrifted or gifted except for a bookshelf from Ikea. I couldn't find any that I liked used so I had to go new. It was on sale though so it was still a steal. And about 95% of my girls clothes are also thrifted thanks to Value Village stuff-a-bag program!!! All of my boys clothes for future kids are all thrifted (though some of them where new with tags at the second hand store)!!! I love thrifting! The things you can find are amazing!!!
So cute! We are expecting our 4th next month and don't have space for a dedicated nursery but I am making him or her a sweet little corner in our room.
Love it!! Our nursery was thrifted too! Well I actually drove around base on garbage days and found a lot of furniture! We also built our crib since I wanted a natural wood and they don’t sell one on Guam. 😅 same with shelves and decor, I built shelves and diy’d wall hangings in high contrast colors so he can look at them right away!
Lexy your Nursery is beautiful. You and Creg did a wonderful job and used your money wisely. Love it ! All the best to you and your family with love. God bless you all as he already has and will continue ❤ Melanie from New Jersey
Too cute!! That wicker cabinet is amazing and i don’t know if we bought the baby name sign from the same Etsy shop owner but we bought one super similar, same font and everything for our sweet boy 😇
The nursery is beautiful.....you nailed it @ calming.....very classy & simple! (I laughed out loud, you're funny, you asked if you could have the plant.....hahaha) .....Ya'll take care xooxoxox
This makes me so excited to create my baby’s nursery once we are able to move to a bigger apartment! Definitely feel inspired by your nursery, it’s so simple and relaxing. I’ve been on bed rest for a few weeks now after this lil nugget tried to come early. 35 weeks on Tuesday! Btw, your Instagram stories of Azariah are freaking adorable. I can’t wait to have some chunky baby cheeks to kiss on soon!
You should sign up for Dolly Parton’s imagination library! She has put together a way where your if you sign your child up, they get 1 book every month from newborn to age 5! And it’s free. great idea because books are soo important, but can get very expensive! 😊
Hello there! I am a new subscriber and can’t wait for things to come for your little family! The nursery is super sweet but make sure you remove the plants 🌱 when your little boy starts crawling! The same with the little tables! For now it’s perfect and I love how you stayed away from leaving a carbon footprint while decorating! Well done 👍🏼!
Thank you for sharing your nursery! I love how calming it feels- we did something similar with my son's nursery (8 months now). I did want to add that diffusers and essential oils aren't safe for babies. Essential oils cause inflammation for babies' lungs and can cause them to stop breathing. I'd hate for you to experience that.
I absolutely love his nursery it’s perfect!! U did an awesome job decorating it, I truly love everything!! Thanks fir sharing, love u guys so much see u next time🥰🥰
I waited till I saw things in target clearance at the baby section. They always had returns for cribs, bassinets and other baby necessities. I got my chair, crib, side table and dresser all on clearance. Then with money I saved I got her some really cute outfits to fill her closet with!
I am very much on the same page as you! We are going for a neutral look for the nursery so that it’s not overwhelming. We’ve also thrifted most items, i haven’t purchased everything yet since I’m at 21 weeks but the crib with two dressers was $150 on Facebook marketplace, my chair $150, carpet $40, and lots of gifts and hand me downs :)
Love!! I wish more people would thrift nursery items. I’ve been after some specific items for when we fall pregnant, and the crib I’m looking at I love but can’t justify over 1k! (Australian dollar). Looking secondhand and found the same crib, less than two years old for 1/6 of the price. Winning!
So cute. Like how you steered away from lots of stereotypical colors and themes; I mean it's neutral, which is refreshing to me. Definitely not planning on kids anytime soon, as I'm a junior in highschool, but I like these ideas for my kid's nursery in the future. Thanks for the inspiration 😊.
Thank you so much for posting this video! We are expecting our first baby in August and I'm starting to look at things for our nursery.... and man the price! But his nursery is the exact look I am going for so I'm excited to know it can be done on an affordable budget ❤
Congrats on finding out you're expecting! Enjoy the journey of pregnancy, and enjoy your little one, they grow up sooo fast! (our youngest will be 34 yrs old soon! :)
Yes!!! Everyone thinks you need bran new baby stuff... I made that mistake with my 1st but now with my 2nd I’m definitely going to thrift shop a bit more!

(I also have one that’s why I just wanted to give you a heads up) the intention is that it is completely breathable and washable, they suggest on their website to refrain from using a sheet or a waterproof mattress protector until at least age 1. The room looks great, although probably costs more than you said. Congratulations on the little one.
I agree so much with buying the majority second hand you will save so much I definitely learned this after my first child was born I regretted the amount of money spent and I bought second hand with my second child and saved sooo much money... and also I don’t do the girl/ boy theme baby nursery to me I think a unisex nursery looks much cleaner and chick
Where can I purchase that baby wrap? I love how comfortable you both look. I’m currently 11 weeks pregnant with twins. I’m super excited!!! And I just love your nursery. 😍😍
I thrifted a lot of my sons nursery as well, I only got new things if I couldn’t find it second hand, and I don’t have a lot of the baby gadgets that people buy!
I LOVE your nursery!! I’m definitely taking inspo ideas since my husband and I plan on starting our family next year ❤️ You’ve got me out here wanting to build up a nursery and we don’t even have kids yet 😂
When we found out that we were having a baby we didn't have a lot of money for new things we went to consignment baby stores, good will, habitat for humanity and the dollar store so love that you thrifted the baby's nursery we bought alot of toys and clothes threw thrift stores and consignment stores they are a great blessing for so many people and we use to have Wick which helps low income people with nutritional benefits for their families and they sometimes had a clothes bin for anyone in need of some outfits. The Goodwill is one of my favorite places along with antiques stores and baby consignment stores oh yeah and habitat for humanity is awesome plus the proceeds go to building homes for people who qualify for the homes. I love the nursery.
Love this video!!! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve clicked on an “affordable nursery” video and the glide was like 5-600 dollars alone. Love the room!!!♥️♥️
I want Azariah’s room! Lol It’s so serene. My aunt saved this big beautiful wicker rocking chair for me for my future bedroom but I never ended up using it ..but now I might just use this theme for a future potential nursery and utilize the rocking chair🤔 lol
You should contact the manufacturer of the crib and find out if you can somehow register the crib with them in case of recalls. I purchased a baby gate and it came with a card to register it in case of recalls.
Hey y’all! Thanks for watching 😊💕 so excited to finally share baby boys nursery!
Lexie Thiery what is his name?
Elizabeth Fuller Azariah
Craig Thiery aww that's beautiful 😊
Lexie, I love what you and Craig have done with Azariah's room, it's unique and feels very calming . Great job, I love thrifting and plants too 🌴🍀 xx
What baby carrier is that?
When people say “babies are expensive “ 😂😂😂 it’s a choice to buy expensive stuff. Babies need love and attention, not expensive, luxurious things.
Vegana Fit I’ve gotten so much criticism from family members because of my choice to thrift my nursery but it’s SO fun and I love hunting for pieces and revamping them 😭💕

I love it!! i thrifted almost everything in our nursery too! only spent $295
Absolutely Wonderful and YES, this can be on Pinterest. I love the fact that you showed we can have a wonderful nursery and the baby can have everything he needs without breaking a bank. And buy 2nd hand items is better for the planet too so THANK YOU SO MUCH, love it !

As a fellow thrifter & mama to be this video was so encouraging & inspiring to see what you can do on a budget while making it feel so cozy & warm!
Super resourceful, creative and not wasteful. Prov31 woman right here 🙌🏼🙌🏼. God bless your family 🙌🏼🙌🏼.
Oh my goodness what an amazing space. You are such a wise woman. And seeing little man close to your momma heart while talking to us made my heart so happy
He looked like a doll in your wrap at the beginning of the video.
Cathy I was gonna comment the same thing! 💛

Love that you thrifted and gifted! That is so much more pleasing knowing that you saved a fortune and created it yourself. Beautiful job!
Another good tip for baby books is your local library... mine sells books for a dollar each!! Great way to build their collection. 💙💙💙
I’m here so early the title says “THRIFTED NURSERY YOUR”
I saw it
This is a great nursery I wouldn’t expect it to all be thrifted ❤️
I agree alondra & aaron....if she hadn't posted that in her title of the vlog, I wouldn't have guessed either!
I absolutely love the style of his nursery!! I feel like it’ll also be easy to transform into his other stages of life! 💙 please do a full house tour!!

I love this idea! I wanna do this when I have children! Such a cheap way to make something so beautiful
Yep!! LOVE thrifting and buying second hand! My sons nursery was 70% thrifted as well! 💗💗 congrats on your little boy. Boys are the best 🥰
I plan on doing this too, gradually. So fun to hunt and go to all the different thrift stores and there are lots of good clothes and furniture/decor if you are patient and not too specific!
Love the room and you are saving darling items that would be going in our landfill. We need to recycle more and you did an amazing job!!!

This is how I did my daughters nursery too :) I was pregnant all summer so I was at garage sales every weekend
I have a baby due in September so I’ll be pregnant all summer as well... great idea about yard sales!
Wow, you caught the peacefulness and tranquility of your baby nursery. It's beautiful. I love it. Great job honey..👍😇❤

Love love love it❣I'm a thriftaholic!! The best part is finding treasures y'all wouldn't maybe find somewhere else. Blessings to y'all...❤☝️❤
I waited till I saw things in target clearance at the baby section.
Absolutely love his nursery!! Might go with this theme for mine 😘
Beautiful nursery! I am in the process of determining a theme for our daughters nursery, due in July. Thank you for the inspiration!
Love!! I wish more people would thrift nursery items. I’ve been after some specific items for when we fall pregnant, and the crib I’m looking at I love but can’t justify over 1k! (Australian dollar). Looking secondhand and found the same crib, less than two years old for 1/6 of the price. Winning!

AWW so cute and cozy!!
I actually JUST shared my tour,
we went with Winnie the Pooh!
This is totally an inspiration for next time, AWESOME job!! 💕
Such a beautiful and thoughtful nursery!!! 😍❤️ Love it!
It’s beautiful!! My husband and i are trying for baby #1 and this is all the nursery inspiration I need!! Wish us luck!!
So cute! Just found out we’re pregnant.. !!!!!!
Rachel Unger congrats!!!!
Congrats on finding out you're expecting! Enjoy the journey of pregnancy, and enjoy your little one, they grow up sooo fast! (our youngest will be 34 yrs old soon! :)
You did a good job!!!! Way to go!!!
Yes! Most of my house is thrifted and you are 100% correct! My dresser is the same one my parents found on the side of the road and redid for me.
Yes!!! Everyone thinks you need bran new baby stuff... I made that mistake with my 1st but now with my 2nd I’m definitely going to thrift shop a bit more!
You seem so happy! The nursery looks great 👍🏽 You did an awesome job 💕
I Absolutely Love It!!! Y'all did such an Amazing job😀💕Great Idea💕💕💕Your sweet baby!!! He is Sooo CUTE 💕💕💕
Such a cute nursery! I LOVE thrifting. My next baby I’m def doing this :)
The Newton baby crib mattress alone is a minimum of $300, and you’re not supposed to use a sheet on it if you didn’t know it basically defeats the purpose behind spending that kind of money on it.
Love this! I plan on thrifting a lot of our baby's nursery/items too ❤️
Where can I purchase that baby wrap? I love how comfortable you both look. I’m currently 11 weeks pregnant with twins. I’m super excited!!! And I just love your nursery. 😍😍
Hi guys you did the nursery so nice it looks great and totally agree with you on the reusing and saving the money
It is really beautiful and peaceful! Love it!
Good job!!!! Looks great!!!!
Beautiful nursery!! Congratulations!! God Bless!!
Oh I needed a video like this, I’m due with my first in Nov and have been slightly overwhelmed by the standard of nurseries these days lol
Love the room. It's very calming.
Absolutely adorable! Great job Lexie and Craig!
Love it, Great Job!
God bless you and beautiful baby!
Super adorable Lexie. I am impressed
Wow. I am the first view and comment...Love the nursery...it looks comforting ❤️. I can’t wait to see more of that little world changer❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I think the red on the rockin horse is a good accent color for the tan/wicker and greys!!!
So peaceful and pretty u did amazing ♥️♥️♥️
I love this video! What other videos do you have planned?
Such a beautiful space!!!! So calm and peaceful 💕
I love it! It's so calming! More baby:)
Nursery looks beautiful.
Not to mention that the baby couldn't care less about the price. The high price items are just for the parents that care far too much about vanity!
You should contact the manufacturer of the crib and find out if you can somehow register the crib with them in case of recalls. I purchased a baby gate and it came with a card to register it in case of recalls.
i added up and god 510 so girl you did amazing
I’ve been waiting for something like this! I feel like you are pressured to spend all this money on babies when it isn’t necessary
Looks amazing... Congrats on your miracle.
