I think you and Josh have done an amazing job on changing this room to accommodate both Ivy and the new baby girl on the way. I know you are super detail oriented and I applaud that. I do not aggree with some commenters who suggest more childish art or paintings with children in the art.....i would keep everything you have done as is. The only thing I would even consider is changing out only one art piece that has no child or pink/deep red rises to a vintage/antique styled painting of children in nature, with the roses in light pinks and deep reds all in the same painting. I really believe the room is preciously feminine, beautifully antique, lighter, and a room that suits your needs. It compliments the rest your home and compliments Miss Ivy's sweet personality as well. Blessings on you as a wife and mother and for the new baby girl!

Hey girl, Im 74 and my husband of 53 years will not paint and if it cant be fixed with a hammer or duct tape, it cant be fixed,lol. I always did the “handy Andy” work. Hes just a really brilliant man but not handy. Once he built our business he hire’s everything out😂😂. Congratulations on a girl and the room turned out beautiful. You can get a blue light to put in your salt lamp to match the room. I did that to mine and it looks so pretty. The bookcase…perfect. How cute that your 8 year old did it.❤❤

Rosie did an amazing job on the book shelf styling. Her use and balance of the objects is quite impressive. A decorator in the making! The floral art work is so much more feminine, and suits a little girls room. And the touches of blue in the quilt and coverlet and lamp and curtains is the sweetest ever.
I like the color, too! I wanted to stop them painting over the green below the chair rail. That would have been awesome, but the room is lovely, as is!

Also, I am an artist and I have created a few gallery wall without harming the walls by using straight pins instead of nail if the frames aren’t very large it works. My generation would never have thought to mix the blue patterned curtains and lamp in a room with green trim and chair rail but it works and I like it!
The transformation is fabulous ~ take a few extra minutes in there for yourself & your new cherub, every single time you change her; and enjoy the beautiful results !!
@@KristenHoffman putting up the ceiling medallions are extremely frustrating. I've found that if you cut it in half and put it up when the light is already up it can be much easier. I've used liquid nails to keep it up and then I fill it in with plaster or caulk then give it a paint. Its alot of extra but thet really add so much to the space. 🦋

Yep I had one of my kids step into the bottom drawer of a dresser once to climb it and the whole thing fell on him! It was awful thankfully God protected him. I never put up anotHer dresser or bookcase without attaching it to the wall with a safety bracket.

Try swapping the picture over dressing table with one over crib or center big picture in center of wall and see if you like it better. Just throwing some more ideas at you. Another girl - yay! The room looks fantastic. Suggestions... if affordable, consider changing out the glass in the windows or put up a "cling" sold for windows to go up and off easily. You have too much going on for all the scraping! Or just look past the windows for now! :)
What a beautiful sweet room for Ivy and the new baby! So pretty. I love the mix of patterns and color and how bright the room has become. The toile curtains are gorgeous and a perfect addition to that room. If I could offer one suggestion...switch the lamps. For scale purposes, move the blue floral lamp to the bigger nightstand on the left and the white lamp and the salt lamp to the smaller nightstand on the right. The bigger lamp gives more weight to the left side and balances the room. Great job Kristen. Looks like Ivy loves it!

Another girl - yay! The room looks fantastic. Suggestions... if affordable, consider changing out the glass in the windows or put up a "cling" sold for windows to go up and off easily. You have too much going on for all the scraping! Or just look past the windows for now! :)
What a beautiful sweet room for Ivy and the new baby! So pretty. I love the mix of patterns and color and how bright the room has become. The toile curtains are gorgeous and a perfect addition to that room. If I could offer one suggestion...switch the lamps. For scale purposes, move the blue floral lamp to the bigger nightstand on the left and the white lamp and the salt lamp to the smaller nightstand on the right. The bigger lamp gives more weight to the left side and balances the room. Great job Kristen. Looks like Ivy loves it!
