Compared with 20 years ago, there are likely 100 times more "collectors" now, meaning more of these bottles get hoarded in everyone's storage. 20 years ago, most of these bottles were for drinkers. So, in 20 more years, will these bottles still get appreciation as high as the blue label? With so many unopened bottles still out there?
Isn't the Double Cask still all ex-Sherry? Pretty sure the Double Casks are a mix of American and European Oak casks, but they are all ex-Sherry or at least Sherry seasoned.
Great video! You should do a video on rarity and what rates as truly rare; 30yo vs 40yo and how rare are 45yo, 50yo in comparison.
Great info as always- keep the content coming!!
Tried the blue box edition. Great stuff. 😊

Any videos coming soon on Laphroaig? Francis Mallmann 17 year old or Ian Hunter Book 5 bottles?
