That's the best thing for me
Gohan Angers really speaks to me, because it is an emotional theme that has suits my life at certain points. I'm not sure if other people 100% understand, because they might not have grown up watching and being attached to the show, but I felt Gohan's pain and suffering in the Cell Games saga (where this theme debuted). The beginning of the theme, where the piano opens up, really symbolizes a sharp pain in your/my heart, almost like you're/I'm in betwen the boundaries of giving up and anger. When the instruments drop it feels like hope is being pumped through your/my veins, telling you/me not to give up. When the Viola introduces itself you/I just release all negativity through anger and vocalization (screaming). It's deep stuff man. I can relate to this theme, because I've played this song so many times, it describes so many situations where I've played it: working out, family drama, friendship problems, being pushed in a corner, etc. I've cried to this song, like Gohan did when Cell tried to push him to go Super Saiyan 2. Bruce Faulconer and his team really hit a gem with this theme, and so many people overlook this masterpiece. The Japanese OST has nothing on this emotional piece of music.
Brandon Harmon I agree 100%. Gohan Angers is my favorite theme of all time, with the exception of Vegeta's SSJ theme, which premiered before Gohan Angers and gave me a similar feeling of emotion. Thanks for watching :)

Brandon Harmon Wonderfully said man, this song really does tug at our deepest emotions. For me it's like that spark inside everyone that when it seems like all is lost, when you've made mistake after mistake and you just want to break down and cry. Then something snaps, all your repressed emotions and desires and regrets and hope just explode out all at once. You are invincible, and even if you aren't, even if you fail, you wont let that stop you, you will kick and scream and fight like hell. There is no doubt, no confusion, just pure unadulterated determination.
God damn man just enjoy the music without being like linkin park fans who tell their stories all in the comments and ruin the song
Brandon Harmon Well said. There really is a deep sort of emotion with this song that is lacking in the Japanese OST's, even though I do like both versions. Its great to hear how DBZ's helped your life like that man, I can't say I've gone through all the drama you have but kudos for not giving up

Gohan turning SSJ2 is still the best scene in all of Dragon Ball period.
Damn the timing with the song in this video is precisely well done and let me be honest with you, my body got so many chills while the theme was playing while gohan is turning ssj2. It's just beautifully well done, that it should have been played at the end of the episode, where gohan goes super saiyan 2 and get these chills in our spines, when we see him grow from this scared child, to this powerful killing machine that no other could even lay a finger on and they screwed their lifes to even try and top him. Great job man!

Kool Keith Productions I liked as well I just really wished had the Gohan Fights Frieza theme instead since I felt like it fits with that scene more that and its one of my top favorite DBZ Osts by Bruce Falconer(Sorry I forgot how his name is spelled)

Where is Gohan's monologue? That was the best part of this scene in my opinion. Aside from that this was amazing.

Having a random bird fly around with no monologue is completely ridiculous. The monologue was fine. Skipping that long pause and having the outburst of power right away would have been the best choice I think.
Nah the I like the silence better, shows how much in shock he is.
I requested this 4 years ago & to this day, I still watch this clip every time I see an old clip of the original scene.
IMO, Funimation needs to visit DBZ, cut the old scene out & put your version in. Imagine how we would've felt as kids hearing the Narrator read a brief history on Gohan's hidden powers with that mystic & soulful soundtrack playing along. If only Bruce would've thought of this while doing score for this scene.

I want to point out that at the end of DBZ Gohan was stronger then Goku, as stated by the creator.
Legend41589 Akira says some weird things tho. lol Remember, the end of DBZ takes place about 10 years after Kid Buu is killed, and I can't see Gohan training much after that, so there's no way in 10 years that Goku didn't surpass Gohan again.

actually it couldn't be because one important dialogue was missing. though this guy did amazing job send chills to my spine woah especially when the combination of this voice with narrator goes :D btw in original dbz this song too was used at right place too just can't get over it again and again watching :D

This the second time that the death of an android has caused the rage of a title character in this entire series (the first one being android 8's death enraging kid goku in dragonball)...

And this scene is the one of the few flaws Bruce made when choosing a track to fit this moment.
Great job on fixing that problem. You should also add the gohan fights frieza theme on the scene Gohan beats the crap out of Frieza. That's another no-no made by Bruce

I have a question, did you imported the music background from somewehere else? I have that epside in mkv format and it contains 2 music background, the one from when Goku turns into SSJ3 for the first time and other, well not really music. More quiet. Original Japanese with Egnlish voices.
I love this theme but I felt like the theme they really should have had playing in the background would the Gohan Fights Frieza theme I feel like that theme fits more than this one
