Thanks Becca, I think we may have a convert, LOL! I do enjoy it, I have always loved printmaking, but it is difficult without expensive printing presses, etc. At least with a gelli plate, we can do it at home, which is great! :)
Beautiful gelli prints again. Sometimes you get unexpected special effects and that is just the pleasure of making gelli prints. I watch with excitement. Thank you for sharing the gelli prints videos.👏😀💕
Love the botanical masques and the silhouettes. Watching in the car and was feeling annoyed about a “noise” I thought I was hearing in the dub-over. But once I rolled down my window, it’s our tornado warning so I better scoot inside!
I have done some gel prints. But not many. I don't really have the work space to so it at the moment. Just waiting for the she-shed/studio to be finished so I can have separate area for painting and paper crafts. I love love love love love these prints, Kari. I'm feeling inspired to get doing some more. Thank you!
Thanks Marti, yes you need space to spread out, I find. Even with a short gel plate session, I have piles of wet papers drying around me. Your She-Shed will be lovely, when will it be ready?
Love your prints! I would have loved to participate in Birgit's challenge, but I'm short of time this month and I'm really enjoying playing in my glue book too. I'm also a bit behind on your challenges, but it's my plan to make a couple of ATCs based on some of your prompts I missed!
Thanks Julie, I am dipping in and out of the challenge as time allows, I am getting a lot out of even those sessions anyway. I know what you mean about being short of time, just do what you can fit in - and what you enjoy! No worries about my prompts, there are no rules, just pick up where you left off and carry on, when you have the time again. :)
Another perfect 10. You have some lovely combinations of colours, I think it makes all the difference. I had a little smile to myself as I watched cos I was thinking 'I wonder what size Kari's Gel plate is' and a second later you told us what it was. Tfs xo
Thank you Elizabeth, I am glad I answered your question in the video, LOL! This is now my favourite size, I started with a 10x8, but I think I prefer this one now. I have discovered with colours to try and stick to one or two and then I avoid mud - hopefully! :) xx
@@KariGibsonArt And yes! It's good that you have your work recorded so you can have a reference for pieces that you want to go back to see how you made it.👍
Hi Petra, I use Daler Rowney System 3 acrylics, but they are not ideal, really. They are a tad too thick. I am thinking of buying some more flowy acrylics, or watering down some of these for better results. I hope my answer helps if you are planning on buying some. x
You asked, an no, have never done gel prints, but am developing a strong affection for them through yours! I love them!

@@KariGibsonArt Yes, it looks as if it does offer that flexibility...I think it would even be fun to try on a canvas sometime!

Thank you very much for watching these rather lengthy gel printing videos, Marjo! :)
Looks like you had a great time Kari and I had a great time watching too!
Thanks for sharing 💜🤗
Thanks Toni, I did, that was a great session (not all of them are that good)!
And thanks for the encouragement. I can't wait to feel more natural and confident with the gel plate.
You are welcome - and it will happen!
Oooh love it you know I love your gelli printing thank you xx
Thank you so much! 💗💗
Awesome!
Thank you! Cheers!

Thanks Kate - I hope you are safe from the tornado! X
Love what you do
Thanks so much Shirley! 🥰

lots of nice layering here :) it is easy watching you do it but when I do it, it's not quite the same :D I'm getting better and better though.
Thanks Maria, it takes me a while to sort of "warm up" in a session before the magic begins to happen, I think the more we do, the better we get, too!

What brand of paint do you use on the gel plate?
