Watching the replay since I was late. I've been playing with my plates off and on all this past week and I'm REALLY enjoying the process. It's my first time doing so. Thank you SO MUCH for all the inspiration you provide. ❤ & Blessings~
Does the alcohol damage the ink and oxide pads in any way and are they still okay for normal stamping etc afterwards? Loved this, thanks for sharing xx
The alcohol doesn't actually come into contact with the ink pads themselves as it is sprayed onto the plate after the ink has been applied. By the time the gelli plate is reinked for the next use, all the alcohol has been absorbed by the paper and evaporated.
The disappointing part of these oxide inks for me is that they aren't archival. I have found with most of the distress stuff that eventually all the colour just fades and muddies over time, and not in a good way. That saddens me as they are great to play with but a dreamy piece just doesn't last.
I really like the way you have used your distress ink pads, you’re sure getting great colours and the feather is cool !! Thanks for sharing Robyn 💖
Very nice technique. Thanks for sharing. I love the book. ❤
Those are dreamy colors! Thank you.
