It's 2020 and this never gets old. I must admit when Cloke was denied the first goal I thought it was going to be another nightmare, but then Heath did what he did and the rest is history.

Honestly that was one of the greatest plays of my childhood. I reckon I'll be telling my kids about that smother. Got a photo on my desk of it and all. Was an absolutely wonderful moment.

We were robbed. Maynard was shepherded - any day of the week that's a free kick. But for some reason we were just unlucky they didn't pay it

@@lv3915 2018 and 2019 were heartbreaking, I was at the 19 Prelim.......We were coming back, another couple of minutes on the clock and we were home......I think we would have given Richmond a run for their money on GF day unlike the Giants.

I watched 2002-2003 and watched with tears as a kid heart broken I was thinking please don't be another 36 year drought then the draw I was like no way cant happen and then this game I was shaking like a leaf don't blame eddies reaction each goal and that smother from shaw I was like come hurry up u stupid bloody siren
It was so relieving and so uplifting for us to win :D
Kevlanator I know how you felt in 2002-03, i felt the same way when we were smashed by the hawks in 2015, only because it was such a great year from the eagles only to result in a smashing on Grand Final day.

I was shattered, I've watched 02-03 they hurt, 11 didn't care too much since we won the year before, but 18 was different, I was an adult and was way more into the footy than I used to be, was going to most home games and all......Couldn't make it to the Grand Final was bummed about that, then we lost......For the most part I've recovered from that loss, but it still occasionally creeps back in. 2019 Prelim to GWS hurt a shit load too, I was at the game, leaving the ground crying, walking past people that were also crying......Saw Bill Shorten (who nearly became Prime Minister) on the train home, talking to him about it, he had his kid with him, trying to console her it was a shitshow.......Collingwood have been in something like 45 Grand finals and only won 15 of those........It Hurts being a Collingwood fan.

I was lucky enough to be there. As well as the preliminary final against Hawthorn the following year. Went to the GWS preliminary final last year too, and that was probably the loudest I've heard the crowd since this.

Backline is a bit of a problem and we need a crumbing forward, someone like a Krakouer, but Maynard will have a good year, hopefully Treloar, De Goey and Aish all perform.
True. I think the thing that did us this year was the constant injuries we got on our star players like swanny and Elliot. I think swanny' injury had an affect on how we played this season.
