My grandpa had the larger paraffin Primus. His take on camping stoves was that paraffin was a safer fuel to use than petrol because it took pre heating to get it lit. Ive had plenty of bacon sandwiches and cuos of tea off that old primus all those years ago. If you want to get the best from your old primus, it might be an idea to get a couple of jet prickers in case the nozzle gets clogged. We still have our old primus going strong. Thats the beauty of these old stoves. Built to last. Definitely an old skool charm from that polished brass. And they pump out a good few BTU's for sure. Happy camping. And thank you for posting. Jan.

@@Jan-et1uz Thank You Jan, I do indeed have a few prickers in the box. I bought them to replace Uncle Ron's spool of fuse wire I presume was he's tool of choice.
I've packed away my stove now & will have it out again early next year.
Please enjoy my other videos & look out for more coming soon.

Just found your channel and subbed. I have the same stove for years but I don't use it much, prefer gas for longer trips and alcohol in the woods.👍

@@steveproud2893 I go with an alcohol stove for long trips but I love this for woodland wildcamps.
